As she rose up to leave, Lucian’s cold voice entered her ears: "Do you really want to do that? If you deny me, I’ll end your career. You should already know that. I’ll make your life hell. Think about it: what if your manager drives your car to an isolated place and has his way with you? What can you do about it? Or worse, multiple men waited at that isolated place and violated your body, even recording it to blackmail you. Can you do anything?"

Lisa’s whole body shuddered, her steps halting in place when she heard his cold voice.

Aren had warned her about this scenario as well:

"Second, if coaxing doesn’t work, he will use his power to frighten you. Under fear, people tend to make mistakes, unable to think clearly. He will use that against you."

’How can he be this evil?’ Lisa thought inwardly, afraid of the man on the sofa behind her, eyeing her with a lust-filled gaze.

She was only a 22-year-old girl—innocent and young, someone with ambitions and dreams.

She had never even dreamed of ending up in such a messed-up situation, and yet, here she was.

Aren was the only reason she wasn’t really screwed right now, and she realized it at this moment.

She couldn’t thank the gods enough for sending him to the makeup room this afternoon.

As for what she needed to do in this situation, Aren had instructed her already.

"Sob Sob..."

She streamed tears out of her eyes, sobbing loudly.

In her current situation, crying was one of the easiest things for her.

She turned around and fell to her knees in front of Lucian.

"Please... please let me go... sob, sob... I really can’t do it."

She wiped the tears with her wrists, appearing genuinely afraid.

Lucian sneered inwardly upon seeing this: ’Yes! That’s your place, bitch! Now it’s getting fun.’

On the exterior, however, he sighed and rose up from the sofa: "No need to cry."

He walked up to her, helping her stand up, seizing her shoulders.

He smiled gently at her and said, "I know it must be hard for you. You are in love with Aren Frost, and I’m asking you to cheat on him."

Lisa’s eyes widened in surprise: "How did you know?" She muttered.

"It’s all over the internet. Didn’t you see?" Lucian was surprised to see that she wasn’t aware of it.

Lisa had been preparing for visiting Lucian’s house along with Aren all this time, so she never had the time to check her phone.

Maybe Livia knew about it but chose to keep it from her, not wanting to distract her.

"I didn’t check my phone after this afternoon. I was busy with the shoot," Lisa said, wiping her tears.

Lucian nodded with a kind smile: "I understand. As for cheating on Aren, it’s no big deal. I’m only asking you to sleep with me for one night. I won’t even look at you afterwards, I promise. You can be with Aren for the rest of your life. He too will be happy when you become a successful actress in the future."

Lisa acted to give his words a thought and then spoke as Aren had told her:

"No, I’ll not do it." She shook her head with a determined expression. "I’ve had a talk with Aren, and he agreed to lend me thirty million for the penalty fees. I’ll just break my contract with Titan Crest Entertainment and be free."

"What??" Lucian’s eyes widened in shock.

He took a step back and gulped, asking: "Does Aren even have thirty million to lend you? Wasn’t he surviving on cup noodles just a few months ago?"

Lucian was feeling his power over Lisa slipping away. If Lisa could break the contract, he wouldn’t be able to threaten or control her.

"He has received some new endorsement deals, and his payment for Symphony of Shadows is quite high. He has enough to lend me," Lisa replied politely.

Lucian felt his throat dry, cursing internally: ’If you had the money, why even come here? Just break the contract.’

’Wait!’ His eyes suddenly widened in realization as he understood the situation: ’It must mean Aren doesn’t have the full thirty million on him right now. He needs some time to acquire the funds, and until then, Lisa cannot break off the contract.’

He felt his heart calm down, feeling back in control of the situation.

"I’ll take my leave, sir," Lisa said, turning to leave.

She took this sudden leave due to what Aren had instructed her:

"Once he feels that his power over you is limited, he will feel a sense of urgency. We need to take this chance and increase this sense of urgency. This urgency will force him to make mistakes and not allow him to think clearly."

"Once you start to leave, he won’t have much time to decide what to do. He will only have two choices—to either let you go or use extreme methods. If he allows you to leave, we can use the recording of his threats until then to expose him. But if he chooses to go extreme, I will intervene."

And as Aren had predicted, Lucian was panicking.

Clack! Clack!

Lisa’s heels created sharp sounds as they struck against the marble floor. He could see her back, getting farther and farther each passing second.

He didn’t have much time to think as he suddenly made his decision and yelled, "Wait!"

Lisa’s heels halted, silence enveloping the hall.

"What is it, sir?" She turned around and asked with a clueless expression.

However, inwardly she was anxious: ’Is he going with the extreme method?’

Lucian flashed a friendly smile and offered amiably, "Why don’t we have a wine together to celebrate your short time with us? This might be our last meeting."

Lisa acted reluctant as she denied his invite with an awkward smile: "I would like to pass, sir."

Lucian didn’t give up as he walked towards her and persuaded her with even more intensity:

"Oh come on. Just one drink. Please don’t refuse. I don’t want to remain some evil man in your memories. I was just too captivated by your beauty. But now that you are leaving, I want to part on friendly terms. Won’t you give me a chance?"

Seeing his persistence, Lisa’s smile turned forced as she tried to deny again: "Sir, I need to sleep early for my shoot tomorrow. Please let me leave."

"Then how about this? You have this drink with me, and I’ll reduce your penalty by half." Lucian offered with a friendly smile.

"Really?" Lisa pretended to be delighted by his offer.

"Yes."

"Then alright," Lisa agreed. 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝚠𝚎𝚋𝗻𝗼𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝚘𝐦

Lucian, on the other hand, sneered inwardly: ’Hehehe. Want to escape me? Impossible!’

’Just wait until you drink that aphrodisiac mixed wine. You’ll be begging me to fu*k you.’

’And I promise, I will fu*k your brains out!’
