Unable to take it any longer, Damon fell to the ground weakly but Amelia was quick enough to catch him in her hands trying to control her tears that threatened to spill.
She was worried and afraid at the same time because the time had elasped and that could lead Damon permanently staying evil forever.
Adara looked away as she could not bare to watch such scene while Maverick had almost no expression on his face, slowly the horns on Damon’s face started to go back inside and his legs turned back to normal.
His eyes fluttered open and the first person he saw in his view was sobbing Amelia, "Who made my beloved cry?" He asked in his usual playful voice as Amelia eyes jolted open with shock and surprise, oh was she happy to see him.
Without any hesitation, Amelia threw her hands around his neck hugging him tight like her life depended on it, "I thought i lost you for good." Amelia sobbed uncontrollably while Adara sniffled before going forward to join in the hug, "Dad I’m glad that you’re finally back." She said with a forced smile on her face.
"You guys sicken me." Maverick stated before flapping his wings and flying away leaving the family to their happy reunion.
"What about Max and Asis?" Damon asked, afraid that he couldn’t let his guard down while a battle is still on, "We don’t know where Max is, and as for Asis and uncle Duane both of them are." Adara said lowering her head in sadness.
Damon was quick enough to realize what he did as he facepalmed himself unable to believe it, "Let’s all look at the bright side of things okay? Our troubles are finally over, we can now live peacefully as a family." Amelia said in a bid to try and comfort Damon and Adara and it did work as they both smiled at her.
Amelia knew it was selfish of her to say that, but for the sake of the dead, it was best for them to continue living on, she was sure that is what Duane and Asis would want for them too.
After the ’War’ Mika and Mike decided to live with the witches, while Leviton and Giselle decided to go on their own adventure and find interesting things, as for Damon and Amelia, they stationed themselves in the human world since Maverick was back to rule over the underworld, currently, Adara who is now known as the devil’s flame because her powers were likened to the flames of hell fire itself.
