Revenge Deal With The Devil-Chapter 85: TWINS
What Amelia heard next left her dumbstruck, Marcy had actually asked about Amalia’s background, the same thing she came for.
"Actually doctor, I came here concerning my adopted sister, she has gone missing for months and I wanted to know if I could trace her biological family to find out where she is." Marcy sobbed using the back of her hands to clean her tears.
Amelia sneered knowing they had originally thrown her out of the house so why would they care about her again unless Marcy wanted something but what was it. 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝚠𝕖𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝕖𝚕.𝚌𝗼𝗺
"I’m sorry but no pregnant woman in our hospital had a red hair like I explain to you earlier." The doctor comforted Marcy patting her back feeling for the girl with the thought that she might be worried about her sister for her to go out of her way to trace her family members.
"But there is one uncommon incident that happened though." The doctor went into deep thoughts recollecting a certain incident, Amelia interest piqued further as she tried to listen to what thee doctor was about to say careful not to make any noise as she inched closer.
"There was one incident that did happen within the time range you mentioned." The doctor said stroking her chin thoughtfully, "What is it?!" Marcy jumped up from her seat in excitement, happy that it was probably something that was related to Amalia.
"Just calm down will you, you would find your sister soon." The doctor pointed back to Marcy’s seat suggesting that she should sit down back.
Marcy’s face flushed in embarrassment seeing that she acted out of order because she was too excited, she sat down back and looked at the doctor expecting her to continue from where she stopped.
When she reached the hospital most of the doctors that worked here during the period have Amalia’s birth had either retired or have been transferred to another place.
This doctor was her only hope of finding Amalia’s origin.
"There was this beautiful couple that had come in to register for antenatal when the expecting mother was almost due because apparently it was their first child and they did not know about all these stuff, luckily for them the child had been growing healthy throughout so the effect was not too much." The doctor explained pausing while Marcy tried her possible best to keep her smile on her face as she wondered what the darn story had to do with Amalia’s birth.
"So on the delivery date, the mother was wheeled into the labour room expecting only one child in which the scans predicted but ended up with two children, identical twins, the funny aspect of it was that the sisters were identical but none of them bore any resemblance to their parents, it caused a huge fight between the couples of course as the husband blamed the wife for cheating on him even though she kept denying the fact, concerned for the couple I suggested that they should wait for at least three months then they could do a DNA test or whatever, to be honest I did that because I did not want any ruckus caused in my hospital because of other patients, but little did I know those mere peace wanting words would bring destruction to the family, I had already expected that maybe after spending 3 months with the children the husband might lighten up a bit and take them as his own but in exactly three months he came with the children in a stroller demanding a DNA test, during the process one of the child went missing and was no where to be found and few hours later the other went missing. The mother could not bare the shock and pain and forcefully dragged her husband to look for the children with her at all cost and in the end they got into an accident when their car was rammed over by a truck and died on the spot. The police tried to look for the twins but they could not be found so they gave up and the case died." The doctor continued removing her glasses to clean the tears that gathered at the corner of her eyes, she felt sorry for the couple, they lost their lives and the fact the whereabouts of the children are not even known yet, it was just a sad story that made her feel bad anytime she thought of it.
Marcy pondered on what the doctor said thinking that it might indeed be Amalia that was one of the twins but the only problem now was that she was back to square one, the parents were dead and the sisters were separated before they even grew their first tooth which meant that coming here was completely useless.
Marcy forced a smile at the doctor, "thank you for your time ma’am." She said with a fake politeness trying not to flip at the woman for givibg her basically nothing useful, "You are welcome dear, I would advise that if you want more information you should probably visit the police station, they should know something." The doctor said telling her the name of the station before seeing Marcy off to the door.
Amelia heard footsteps coming closer to her so she quickly readjusted herself and laid down well closing her eyes as she thought deeply about what she just heard, Amalia had a twin sister and they both went missing simultaneously it was strange but her main focus now was how to get the information she needed before Marcy does, but how would she? During the day she was working and now that she found out that she was pregnant she can’t pull all nighters like before it could harm the baby.
Amelia suddenly remembered the seed that Damon had planted inside her wondering what would be his reaction if he found out, "no you can’t tell him." Amelia said to herself knowing that it would only make him drift further away from Ophelia which was what she wanted to avoid.
She then decided to register with this hospital for antenatal and see if she could snoop around for more information.
