Revenge Wears Red Lipstick-Chapter 149: Revelation
Mr. De Rossi was at his hiding place, trying to peacefully watch the television but the only thing he could see mostly was the fact that he’d gone missing.
His disappearance had convinced the civilians even more that he was guilty of all the crimes he’d committed.
He had an idea something like that would happen since he never released any statement.
The presidential election was three months away and his opponent Mr. Roman Myka was currently being interviewed about his intentions with the country.
He watched as the sixty three year old man smiled at the camera as he answered the interviewers questions on national TV. Anyone who saw him would think that Mr. Myka was a better person, but Mr. De Rossi knew just how twisted he was.
No one was pure and innocent in the world of politics.
Mr. De Rossi was supposed to be there, but instead, he was instead just so he wouldn’t end up behind bars.
The old grabbed the remote hard and he heard it crack.
"Just a little bit more time," he mumbled to himself. "More time."
He’d never thought things would turn out this way, at least not so soon when he wasn’t even president yet. He was so close to achieving his goal and his own son had to ruin everything for him.
He gritted his teeth in rage, and watching Mr. Myka’s smile on the TV ruined his mood even further.
He reached for the kitchen to grab a glass of water when he saw his wife scrambling with the pots and pans.
"I’ll be making dinner soon. Are you eating?" She asked.
Her face was bare with not a single line of makeup in sight. She didn’t even bother to put on her earrings. It seemed she’d finally come to understand that the situation was a lot more grave than to have jewelry adorning your body all the time. 𝓯𝓻𝒆𝙚𝒘𝓮𝙗𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝒍.𝙘𝓸𝙢
He glanced at the pot filled with a red substance that looked like tomatoes with several other ingredients pulled up on the counter.
They had no servants so they had to eat what they made.
Instead of replying, he ignored her and left the kitchen.
Mr. De Rossi reached outside to take in the fresh air. The environment was silent and he had no neighbors due to how nearly abandoned the location was.
He took a seat on a bench, his mind riding back to the past, when he’d made his vow to never be a nobody ever again, to never bow down to anyone, and most importantly, to make his father pay for abandoning him and his mother several years ago.

Katherine was researching weapons that would be useful in unaliving a person. She’d never unalived a person with her own hands and with the current turbulence in the city, they never once affected Eva negatively, leaving her with no choice than to take things into her own hands.
She’d seen the news that Eva had almost been shot but Dante had taken a bullet for her instead. Sitting in the house while her enemy walked around the house with free will which she didn’t have didn’t sit well with her at all.
Unfortunately for Katherine, she didn’t have much knowledge on weapons. She left the bedroom to head to Marcus’s study where he would spend all day working.
When she stepped out, she heard the front door opening, indicating that someone had just stepped out of the house.
Katherine quietly sneaked out of the house and followed Marcus close by.
She hailed down a cab and instructed the driver to follow discreetly.
Twenty minutes later, they stopped at a dark alley.
The sun was already setting in the horizon, casting a golden red glow on objects.
She quickly paid and watched Marcus speaking with a man who was wearing similar clothes as Katherine’s. Sweatpants and a hoodie that obscured their identity.
Marcus handed the man a black bag. The sweatpants man inspected the contents in the bag before he said something.
Katherine bit her lips in annoyance when she didn’t hear what they were saying clearly.
Immediately, she stopped closer towards them so that she could hear them properly.
"You finally came around." She heard the sweatpants man speak, his voice deep and ugly like someone who took drugs for breakfast. "I thought we have to straighten you right to get this."
"I already told you, this will be the last one you’ll be getting this from me. I’m quitting."
"I don’t think boss would be happy about that at all." The sweatpants said as he chewed on his gun frantically. "You’ve already signed yourself in so you’re in. There’s no signing out of this, Marcus."
Marcus’ lips thinned into a straight line and didn’t say anything.
"So why don’t you be a good boy and continue with your supplies?" He tapped Marcus on the shoulders and walked away like nothing ever happened.
Katherine frowned deeply when she saw the sweatpants walking away after everything he’d said to Marcus.
"What is your work, Marcus?" She questioned, causing him to swivel his head towards her so fast.
"What are you doing here?"
"That’s not the answer to my question. What is your work? What did you give to that man? What have you been up to for the past year? You never tell me anything and now I have to result to stalking you!"
"You don’t need to worry about anything. Everything is fine. Let’s get out of here." He grabbed her hand, ready to walk her towards the car but she yanked her wrist right off from his.
"I’m not going anywhere until you tell me what the heck you’ve been getting yourself into."
Marcus rubbed his head in frustration but didn’t argue further.
He glanced around as if the sweatpants guy could still be nearby. Hopefully, he wasn’t and no one was.
"I’m a trafficker," he revealed.
Katherine cocked up an eyebrow at him.
"Trafficker of what?" She questioned.
Marcus took a pause before he responded.
"I’m a drug trafficker."
