Chapter 410: Chapter 410: Becoming Unpredictable

"Okay, who will lead the charge?" Uncle Li asked the person around.

Everyone turned to look at Leng Pan and Lu Zhen, waiting for orders.

"Since it’s only a probing team, let’s not expose our full strength. Even though they might have already witnessed us in action, let them think that it had been a fluke. This way, when they launch a bigger attack, we can wipe out more of them." Leng Pan suggested and Lu Zhen felt that it made sense.

"Let me and second brother go. They will probably assume that we don’t have much combat power that way. But we will also show some strength. In this way, the next time, they will send more aliens and zombies to besiege us and also stronger ones." Lu Zhen suggested.

At first, Leng Pan wanted to refuse because they didn’t know how strong those aliens showing up were, but she also knew that his suggestion made sense.

It was setting up a trap. Pretending to be a pig to eat a tiger. If they exposed all their trump cards, they would be at a disadvantage when those aliens launched a serious attack.

"Then take a few more people with you. There is no way they will believe that this base only had such few fighters. And while you fight, make sure to drop a few suggestive comments. Like how some of the fighters were injured in the previous fight and can’t participate in battle. Or how we have lost some good fighters. Anyway, make up something. Something believable that will explain to those hiding in the dark why not many fighters have shown up." Leng Pan thought that this was a good strategy and Uncle Li supported her.

"Panpan is right. That will cause them to lower their guard and even if we don’t wait for them to attack next time, we can follow them to their base and launch a surprise attack. If they believe that our fighting team is crippled, they will become careless and less guarded against us." Uncle Li explained to everyone and the others joined the wagon.

Indeed, pretending to be a pig to eat a tiger is the best method.

"If we can use this method to take out an entire base of the aliens, that would be incredible because we can use the same method again in other places. If no one spreads the word. No one will ever know the true strength of our team. We can also cover our tracks after the battle and not let the aliens find out that it was us. In this way, we can just pop up and disappear after the battle. What do you all think?" Zaizai seemed to be a little too excited when he said this.

"You don’t want credit for taking out an entire base of aliens?" Momo asked with a chuckle.

With the way Zaizai liked to show off, this is a first.

"Oh, c’mon Momo. Don’t make me seem so fame hungry. But think about it, won’t we be even more famous if we slaughter entire bases of aliens and leave without a trace or leave a name behind?" Zaizai laughed like a maniac when he said this.

There it was. Leng Pan and the others who had known Zaizai for two lifetimes laughed.

He pretended not to want fame, but in truth, he was fishing for even more fame.

A mysterious group of people killing aliens anonymously would gain more fame than if they were known by everyone.

Was this what he called not being fame hungry?

"Even though Zaizai’s suggestion is a little unconventional, it is indeed good. If we carried our attacks in the dark and left without a trace. It will be difficult for the aliens to guard against us. In this way. We can do more damage to them than if they were always watching us and prepared." Ouyang Jin agreed to follow Zaizai’s suggestion because it had more benefits than head-on confrontations.

"But if we do nothing, won’t the aliens and even other survivors suspect us?" Juan Ke asked seriously.

"Of course, we won’t be idle. We will show up every few days publicly to slaughter zombies and aliens. The best weapon we will have in this war is unpredictability. We will make it impossible for both aliens and other survivors to figure us out." Leng Pan knew that this is similar to gorilla warfare and to win, they had to become unpredictable.

"Okay. Let’s go and finish those nearby first. We can come to discuss other things later." Lu Zhen realized that the people around him had been carried away by their plans and reminded them of the advancing enemies.

"Alright, fight outside the community. Don’t affect the children and elderly in the community to avoid the spread of panic." Leng Pan advised and Lu Zhen nodded as he stood up and lowered his head to drop a kiss on her forehead before walking out, followed by Lu Hao.

A few more regular warriors were called to fill the numbers and a group of ten people walked outside the perimeter wall majestically.

Lu Hao led the straight to the place the entrance of the tunnel the aliens were following was at and lifted a hand to blast a hole in it.

The tunnel was now completely visible and Lu Zhen didn’t waste time as a long snake made of fire jumped from his palm and entered the tunnel.

With Lu Zhen’s precise control, it followed the tunnel and surrounded the aliens inside.

Screams came from the tunnel as the aliens screamed and the ground trembled a little.

Five aliens burst out of the ground, wrapped by the fire snake.

However, they had solid armours on their bodies indicating that they weren’t just some foot soldiers.

Their eyes glowed violet and their bodies vibrated like a generator.

The flames around them were extinguished and they remained intact.

The screams earlier should have been due to the heat, not because they were burning.
