Chapter 504: Journey Across Continents (2)

Third Person’s POV

The attack was lightning fast and merciless, and the instant Nyx’s strike succeeded, Altheria moved as well.

Her six blood blades fused into two enormous crimson sabres that crossed through the air in a sharp, precise arc.

In a synchronised motion, they shredded two more manifestations and obliterated them into nothing before they could react.

But the final two did not retreat.

Their expressions did not show fear.

Instead, madness flickered in their eyes.

Together, they spoke in unison, their voices layered and distorted.

"I have been waiting for you, my lady. Where do you think you are going?"

The moment those words echoed across the battlefield, the sky darkened violently.

Enormous chains forged from pure darkness erupted downward from above, stretching across the heavens.

They descended instantaneously and wrapped tightly around Nyx’s dragon claw before it could withdraw into the void as it had previously done.

The claw thrashed with immense force.

Spatial distortions rippled around it as Nyx attempted to use its void-traversing ability once more.

But to her shock, the chains pulsed with a spatial locking restriction.

They did not merely bind physically, but they locked the space around them, preventing escape.

The air trembled under the strain.

Still, Nyx did not allow herself to hesitate, and rather than fixate on the trapped claw, her attention sharpened elsewhere.

She began searching for Dajjal’s true body, the hidden core behind these manifestations, and at that very moment, a colossal black dragon tail burst forth from the void.

It swept across the battlefield in a world ending arc and smashed into another manifestation, obliterating it instantly.

The impact alone distorted the surrounding air like shattered glass, and this time, dark chains flashed into existence again and raced toward the tail in an attempt to bind it as well.

But this time, Nyx was prepared as her black scales shimmered faintly, emitting a dense, ancient aura.

The chains collided against the tail, but this time they shattered into countless fragments, scattering like broken obsidian across the sky.

Meanwhile, Altheria faced the final manifestation with unwavering composure.

Two enormous blood blades hovered before her and started rotating slowly as if awaiting command while she remained steady above the crimson sea, her expression calm, though her eyes flicked sideways briefly toward Nyx.

She was watching and waiting to see what move the dark dragoness would make next.

The battlefield had grown even more unstable, its very foundation trembling under the accumulated pressure of overlapping domains and clashing wills, yet Dajjal himself had still not revealed his true body.

His presence lingered everywhere and nowhere at once, hidden behind layers of manifestations and spatial distortions.

Altheria’s cold and resolute crimson eyes remained fixed on the chaos before her, while she knew one thing with certainty: that no matter what happened next, he would not leave this place unscathed.

And if Nyx’s anger continued to escalate and she decided to care about nothing today, there was even a real possibility that he might truly die here today.

In the next instant, the moment Nyx’s colossal dragon tail shattered the spatially binding dark chains, while an enormous winged dark dragon manifested fully in the air.

Her appearance was abrupt yet absolute.

Her massive form eclipsed the sky itself, her black scales absorbing and distorting the light around them.

Each scale shimmered faintly with a dark metallic sheen, and faint traces of ancient power coiled across her body like living shadows.

The instant she appeared, an overwhelming force pressed down upon the battlefield and the sky sealing dark chains that still bound her claw, started trembling violently under the pressure.

The void itself quivered, and the sky seemed to creak and groan as if it had been strained beyond its limits.

The dark chains resisted desperately as Dajjal’s hidden figure tightened and reinforced them with spatial locking power.

But then, Nyx’s trapped claw began to glow as dark infernal flames ignited along its surface, spreading rapidly across the chains like a consuming plague.

The flames did not burn normally.

Instead, they devoured as the sealing chains melted away piece by piece and dissolved into fragments of fading darkness, but at that exact moment, a dark spear appeared.

It emerged without warning, without sound, and without even the slightest ripple of mana, while its tip burned with soul burning green flames.

Its existence was unnaturally concealed and almost perfectly invisible to perception.

It materialised behind Nyx’s dragon form while being aimed directly at her neck with flawless precision.

Altheria saw it and her crimson eyes widened sharply, while her mouth opened to warn Nyx.

At the same time, her two massive blood blades reacted instantly and launched themselves forward in defence.

They dissolved into streams of flowing crimson light and moved with terrifying speed toward the hidden spear to intercept and destroy it.

They were fast, fast enough to cross entire battlefields in an instant, but this dark spear was faster.

It pierced forward toward Nyx’s neck.

And yet, to both Altheria’s shock and Dajjal’s unseen disbelief, the spear passed straight through Nyx’s body as if she did not exist at all.

There was no resistance and no impact.

It was as though her form had become intangible, even though her huge body was perfectly visible to everyone in this place.

At the same moment, Nyx’s golden slit eyes flared with blazing fury while a cold, ancient glint surfaced within them, carrying a terrifying calmness.

Her previously shackled claw moved once more, and like her body, it passed effortlessly through the remaining fragments of the chains, ignoring their spatial restriction entirely.

She had phased beyond their authority.

In the next moment, her enormous wings unfurled fully and with a single powerful motion, she ascended into the sky.

Then her dragon form roared, and its sound was not merely a roar; it was a spell.

Its shockwaves spread across the Sanctum Realm, shaking the very structure of Dajjal’s domain.

The dark realm fractured under the force of her voice as cracks spread across its invisible boundaries.
