Chapter 507: Journey Across Continents (5)

Third Person’s POV

The entire realm seemed to tremble for an instant, and the obsidian plains below vibrated faintly, while the drifting islands of broken reality faltered in their motion.

Far away, deep within the endless void, ancient and terrifying presences stirred and countless unseen eyes opened silently, their attention drawn toward the disturbance.

These beings, ancient remnants of forgotten eras, sensed the intrusion immediately, and their awareness recoiled instinctively as they recognized that something far more dangerous than the dark emperor himself had entered their domain.

Dajjal’s coal-black eyes widened slowly, and a terrifying understanding dawned upon him with clarity that he was no longer alone.

But before he could react, before he could even complete a single defensive thought, an enormous black dragon claw burst through the fracture.

Its massive scales burned with dark infernal fire, the flames clinging to its surface like living shadows that devoured the surrounding darkness instead of illuminating it.

The claw tore through the Shadow Realm’s fabric as though it were fragile cloth, its presence overwhelming and inescapable.

Seeing the enormous claw, realization struck him instantly that the dangerous dark dragon had followed him.

’Impossible... but how—’

His mind struggled to accept it, and the thought had barely begun to form in his mind before the claw descended.

He reacted instantly, and his body twisted sharply as he forced himself deeper into the surrounding shadows, retreating behind layers of shadow manifestations that formed instinctively around him in rapid succession.

Each layer bent light, distorted space, and concealed his presence further.

Even so, he was not fast enough as the dragon claw wreathed in black flames struck him.

It tore directly through his left side, ripping apart flesh, shadow, and his Heaven-Connecting dark essence alike.

The attack did not merely injure his physical form but severed portions of his existence itself, and for the first time in centuries, Dajjal screamed.

The sound that escaped him was distorted and guttural, filled with disbelief and fury.

Filthy black blood erupted from the wound and spilled into the Shadow Realm as his form destabilized violently. 𝒻𝘳ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝒷𝘯ℴ𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝑐ℴ𝑚

His body flickered, and parts of his existence faltered as to his horror, even a portion of his soul had been torn by that dragon claw.

The infernal flames coating Nyx’s claw spread into the wound immediately, burning deeper than any physical injury could ever reach.

They devoured his dark essence, corroding his control and weakening his mental connection to the Shadow Realm itself.

He staggered backward, and the layered manifestations hiding his true form started flickering erratically, nearly collapsing under the strain.

In the next moment, Nyx’s massive head emerged through the fractured space.

Her colossal form remained partially beyond the boundary, yet her golden slit eyes locked onto him with absolute certainty.

She did not roar, she did not speak, she simply stared.

And that silence carried a terror greater than any attack, as for the first time in countless years, Dajjal felt fear.

His soul trembled under her gaze.

Instantly, a vertical red eye opened deep within his soul, its pupil contracting violently as his instincts awakened him from the paralyzing pressure.

His soul palpitated uncontrollably as he realized the truth that he had been locked onto by the draconic gaze of intimidation.

This draconic gaze was an innate ability possessed by every fully matured dragon, capable of suppressing weaker existences or enemies caught off guard through pure soul and body dominance alone.

He forced himself to act, and he did not hesitate as he formed a complex seal with his trembling hands and sacrificed nearly half of his Heaven Connecting dark essence without reservation.

The surrounding darkness surged violently toward him and wrapped around his body, destabilizing his physical form and fracturing his existence intentionally.

Nyx’s other claw descended once more, but this time, it met nothing as Dajjal’s body had fragmented into countless shadow fragments, scattering in every direction as he forced himself deeper into the Shadow Realm beyond her immediate reach.

The claw struck empty space, but Nyx did not pursue immediately while her massive golden eyes observed the scattering fragments calmly.

She knew he could not escape her, not anymore.

She allowed him to flee so that he could fill himself with that false hope again.

She allowed him to flee because she would ruthlessly crush that false hope into smithereens.

Far away, deep within the Shadow Realm, Dajjal reformed his body.

His breathing was uneven, and his aura was fractured.

The wound on the left side of his body refused to heal.

The dark infernal flames continued to burn within him, marking his existence with a tracking mark, just like he had done to Nyx’s disciple.

And Dajjal understood immediately that he had escaped death, but he was still not safe.

In his current weakened state, he would need hours of uninterrupted recovery to remove the mark, which he did not have.

As he fled deeper into the shadows in growing panic, Nyx’s golden eyes lingered on his retreating presence for several seconds longer before she slowly withdrew her claw.

The fracture in space sealed behind her, and the boundary between worlds was restored by her spatial knitting ability.

She smirked, and a sinister smile slowly spread across her humongous draconic face, revealing rows upon rows of her enormous, razor-sharp teeth.

Each tooth gleamed faintly, reflecting a dim, unnatural light that seemed to exist even within the suffocating and omnipresent dimness of the Shadow Realm.

That smile did not carry amusement or mockery, but a cold and predatory certainty, as though she had already decided the inevitable end of her prey.

Her massive golden slit eyes remained locked onto the fleeing dark emperor’s fragmented presence as she watched every subtle shift in space as he attempted to escape deeper into the folds of shadow, and then she moved.

Her colossal body shifted with unnatural fluidity as she repositioned herself into a perfectly streamlined posture.

Despite her overwhelming size, she resembled a swift and lethal predator bird preparing to strike, her massive wings folding inward while her long, draconic body aligned with terrifying precision.
