Chapter 70: Chapter 70 : Yuna’s Past

The private jet sliced through the sky, its engines humming steadily as clouds drifted past the windows like slow-moving waves.

Inside the cabin, everything was quiet.

Soft lighting filled the space, leather seats arranged neatly, and a faint scent of luxury lingered in the air.

Yuna sat comfortably in her seat, one leg crossed over the other, flipping through a glossy magazine. Her pink hair fell smoothly over her shoulders, contrasting beautifully with her sharp grey eyes.

She wore a fitted black top that hugged her figure, paired with a short jacket left open, subtly highlighting her curves. Her posture was relaxed, confident, and effortlessly captivating.

Beside her sat Arthur.

He leaned back lazily, resting his face on one hand, looking completely bored. He wore a black T-shirt under a sleek black blazer, paired with black jeans that fit him perfectly. His jet-black hair was slightly messy, giving him a careless charm, while his red eyes carried a sharp intensity.

His features were striking, almost unfairly so, making him look both dangerous and attractive without even trying.

Across from them, Julia sat near the window.

She was looking outside, her gaze fixed on the endless sky. Her blonde hair was tied loosely, a few strands falling naturally around her face. She wore a simple yet elegant outfit—a fitted light top with a jacket and comfortable pants that still highlighted her well-toned figure. Her black eyes reflected nothing but silence.

Arthur glanced around the cabin before letting out a long sigh.

"Master... I’m incredibly bored. At least tell me where the hell we are going."

Yuna didn’t even look up from her magazine.

"You really are impatient, aren’t you?" she said calmly, turning a page. "Just wait. We’ll get there in twenty minutes. Why don’t you try keeping your mouth shut until then?"

Arthur sighed again and leaned back.

His eyes shifted toward Julia.

A small grin appeared on his face.

"C’mon... are you still angry about that loss? Just forget it, okay? You’ll win next time for sure."

Julia slowly turned her head toward him.

Her eyes were sharp.

A vein popped on her forehead.

"If you want me to forget it..." she said coldly, "then why do you keep mentioning it? We’ve been on this plane for two hours, and you’ve said the same thing at least fifteen times."

Her gaze intensified.

"If you say it one more time... then our duel will start right here and right now."

Arthur blinked.

’...She’s really counting?’

The truth was, he had been repeating that line every ten minutes since they boarded the plane.

Eventually, Julia had stopped responding entirely and just ignored him.

Until now.

Before Arthur could reply—

Yuna’s voice cut in, calm but pointed.

"You really are ungrateful, aren’t you, Arthur?" she said, still not looking at him. "Did you forget that every time you got stuck on something... she was the one who helped you?"

Arthur looked toward Yuna and nodded.

"You’re right... I should act nicer to her."

He straightened slightly.

Coughed twice.

Then turned to Julia with a smile.

"Julia, how about I buy you lunch? Since you lost so badly to me... maybe that will cheer you up."

Silence.

A very dangerous silence.

That—

Was the final straw.

Julia’s aura burst out instantly.

Her hand shot forward—

She grabbed Arthur by the collar and pulled him closer.

"Say that again..." she said slowly, her voice low and dangerous, "and I’m throwing you out of this plane."

Arthur froze.

For a brief moment—

He looked directly into her eyes.

And realized—

She wasn’t joking.

’...Yeah, she’s serious.’

He slowly raised one hand.

"Master... this is your fault. I tried being nice, and this is how she repays me."

Before Yuna could respond—

Something changed.

The air—

Became heavy.

A suffocating pressure filled the cabin.

Arthur and Julia both froze.

It felt like something invisible was gripping their hearts... slowly tightening.

Yuna finally lowered her magazine.

Her eyes were cold.

"Both of you..." she said quietly, "sit down. Now."

A pause.

"Or I’ll throw you outside myself... without a parachute."

Silence.

Arthur immediately sat back down.

Julia released his collar and returned to her seat.

Neither of them said a word.

The cabin returned to silence—

But this time...

It stayed that way.

------

Exactly twenty minutes later—

The private jet began its descent.

The clouds parted as the aircraft smoothly lowered, its wheels extending before—

THUD.

It landed cleanly on the runway, rolling forward as the engines gradually quieted.

Inside, no one spoke.

The door opened shortly after.

Yuna stepped out first.

Her heels touched the ground with calm authority as she walked forward without hesitation.

Arthur followed behind her, hands casually in his pockets, scanning the surroundings with mild curiosity.

Julia came out last, her gaze sharp and observant, silently taking in every detail.

What awaited them—

Was excessive.

Dozens of black limousines were lined up neatly across the runway, their polished surfaces reflecting the sunlight.

Standing beside them were groups of men.

Some wore traditional yukatas, their posture disciplined yet relaxed.

Others stood in black coats, clearly bodyguards, holding machine guns with practiced ease.

The atmosphere was heavy.

Organized.

Dangerous.

Several of the men in yukatas had visible scars across their faces—old cuts, deep marks, signs of countless battles.

Arthur raised an eyebrow slightly.

’Yeah... definitely not normal people.’

As Yuna walked forward—

Every single one of them bowed.

Perfectly synchronized.

"Yuna-sama."

One man stepped forward from the group.

He was older, his expression sharp, his presence controlled.

"Thank you for answering our call. The situation is... a little serious."

Yuna looked at him calmly.

"Who are you?"

The man bowed his head slightly.

"My name is Tanaka Ryuji. I am the right-hand man of the boss."

Yuna’s eyes narrowed slightly.

"Where is Brother Yuichi?"

Tanaka bowed respectfully .

"He is waiting at the house his health is not do good these days that’s why he couldn’t come to pick you up."

Yuna nodded once.

Then—

Tanaka’s gaze shifted.

Toward Arthur and Julia.

"Yuna-sama... who are these two?"

Yuna didn’t even hesitate.

"Don’t worry. These two are my disciples."

For a moment—

Tanaka’s composure broke.

His mouth opened slightly in surprise.

’Disciples...?’

But he quickly regained control, lowering his head again.

"...Understood. Please, this way."

Yuna turned and walked toward the limousine.

Arthur and Julia followed without question.

The door was opened for them.

They stepped inside.

The interior was spacious, luxurious, and silent.

Moments later—

The car began moving.

The convoy followed.

Arthur leaned back slightly, glancing outside through the tinted window.

"Master... these guys really look like Yakuza types."

Julia tilted her head slightly.

"What’s a Yakuza?"

Arthur smirked faintly.

"You know... those people who do everything for money. Kidnapping, money laundering... all that stuff."

Julia blinked once.

"Oh."

Yuna finally spoke.

"You’re not wrong... but you’re not entirely right either."

Arthur and Julia both turned toward her.

Their expressions—

Curious.

Almost eager.

Yuna sighed softly.

"You two really do like stories, don’t you?"

She leaned back slightly.

"This... is where I was born."

A brief pause.

"This is a small nation located at the center of the world, making it a hub for trade. Because of that... it’s incredibly wealthy."

Her eyes shifted slightly toward the window.

"Its name is Nihon."

Arthur’s mouth twitched.

’Isn’t that the same name Japan used back in the 7th or 8th century...?’

’The developers really got lazy with that one.’

Yuna continued.

"But just because a nation is rich... doesn’t mean poverty doesn’t exist."

Her voice softened slightly.

"I was born into a very poor family."

Silence filled the limousine.

Arthur and Julia listened carefully.

Yuna leaned back slightly, her gaze drifting toward the window for a brief moment before she spoke again.

"It’s nothing interesting," she said calmly. "My father was a drunkard... a useless bastard and a gambler." 𝘧𝓇ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝘣𝓃ℴ𝓋𝑒𝑙.𝑐𝘰𝑚

Her tone didn’t change.

No anger.

No hesitation.

"When there was no food for us to eat, my mother worked in other people’s houses just to keep me fed... even if she had to sleep hungry herself."

A faint smirk appeared on her lips.

"Even after we lost our house and had to sleep on the streets... she still made sure I ate."

Her eyes lowered slightly.

"What a crazy woman she was."

Silence filled the limousine.

Arthur and Julia didn’t interrupt.

Yuna continued.

"As her health started failing... I began begging in the streets. For food... for medicine... for anything."

Her fingers tapped lightly against her arm.

"I even begged people to help her."

A pause.

"But as you both know... the world isn’t kind. Only the powerful have the right to ask for anything."

The car remained silent as it moved through the city.

"We lived in a broken shack in the slums after that," she continued. "Then one day... a group of men surrounded it."

Her eyes turned cold.

"My useless father had found us."

Arthur’s expression darkened.

"He had sold my mother."

Julia’s fingers tightened slightly.

"But..." Yuna said, her voice lowering, "my mother killed herself before anyone could touch her."

Silence.

Heavy.

Unmoving.

"I watched her die in front of me," she added quietly. "And I didn’t even understand what was happening at the time."

Arthur’s hand clenched slightly.

Julia’s gaze dropped.

Yuna continued without stopping.

"When there was nothing left for my father to sell... except me... that bastard didn’t hesitate."

Her lips curled faintly.

"I was fourteen."

A pause.

"And just like my mother... I was considered beautiful."

Her voice held a hint of disgust.

"Some disgusting man bought me at an auction... for a very high price."

The air inside the car felt suffocating.

"And just when I thought everything was over..."

She stopped.

For the first time—

Her expression softened.

A genuine smile appeared.

"That’s when my ray of light appeared."

Arthur and Julia looked up.

"My master saved me."

She didn’t continue.

The sentence hung there.

Incomplete—

But enough.

Silence.

Then—

Arthur and Julia’s eyes began to tremble.

Tears welled up, both of them trying to hold back.

Arthur failed first.

He suddenly leaned forward—

And wrapped his arms tightly around Yuna.

"Don’t worry, Master... you’re not alone anymore," he said, his voice unusually soft. "I’m here for you. Just tell me whatever you need."

And then—

Without shame—

He rested his face directly against her chest.

Yuna’s mouth twitched.

"...Are you trying to cop a feel, you pervert?"

Arthur tightened the hug.

"How could you say that...? I feel really sad for you."

He pressed in even more.

Julia’s eye twitched.

"Get away from her, you pervert!"

For a brief moment—

A very small smile appeared on yuna’s lips.

Then it vanished.

She grabbed Arthur—

Pulled him away—

And smacked him straight in the face.

Arthur dropped back into his seat.

Julia crossed her arms.

"Idiot."

Yuna let out a small sigh.

Then continued as if nothing had happened.

"The point is... when my master took me in... there were others she had saved as well."

Her tone returned to normal.

"Yuichi is one of them."

Arthur rubbed his cheek.

"You could say... he rules this place with an iron fist," Yuna added. "So behave yourselves. He’s someone who could help you a lot in the future."

Arthur nodded slightly.

Julia remained silent.

Then—

The car slowed down.

It came to a stop.

The door opened from outside.

A bodyguard stood there respectfully.

"Yuna-sama... we have arrived."

A slight bow.

"The boss is waiting inside."
