Rogue Villain-Chapter 396: Door
The Observer’s power only held Ackster in place for a moment before he broke loose. But that was enough to gather and shoot a purple beam that disintegrated half of Ackster’s body. Due to the lingering cosmic power in his wound, it took Ackster several painfully long moments of enduring the Observer’s attacks and pressure before he was whole again.
’Shit.’
Even if he could refine the cosmic energy he had stolen or that slipped into Smelting Furnace, Ackster wouldn’t last long enough for the refinement to complete. It also wouldn’t be enough for him to defeat the Observer.
The Observer threw off the restraints of entering a mortal world and unleashed more and more of his strength as he bombarded Ackster and his Perfect World with space-destroying purple beams of pure cosmic power.
Ackster turned into teleporting Swiss cheese as he only barely managed to keep his core intact as he teleported around the Perfect World. His Overhuman Senses, combined with the omniscience he possessed in the Perfect World, helped him find the few openings in the Observer’s barrage.
But as the Observer let loose, cosmic power filled up the entire Perfect World. The Observer was forcefully pushing aside Ackster’s dominion of his own Perfect World by flooding it with cosmic power. The cosmic power interfered with Ackster’s perception, movement, and regeneration.
Ackster didn’t know how he would last more than a few seconds at this rate, much less kill the Observer. But he did know that he was going to do it.
Ackster gaslighted himself into believing it was possible. He had done the impossible more than once. What was defeating a cosmic god with the power to rewind time for an entire planet that had also created him?
Ackster’s mind raced at speeds that burned the back of his eyes as he scanned his surroundings for safety while also trying to think of countermeasures.
The Demon Sword wasn’t entirely useless. But Ackster felt it take damage from the hits. If he used it to block the Observer’s attacks, it would break after a few hits. And that was when he boosted the sword with Limit Breaker.
Purple lasers filled Ackster’s Perfect World like a rave and burned his body into nothingness quicker than he could regenerate it.
More than a few times, Ackster ended up as nothing but his core and narrowly avoided the Observer’s attacks, thanks to being so small.
However, with each wave of attacks, the space Ackster had to move around in shrank.
The hut had turned to ash long ago. The beach and its trees were collapsing in on themselves due to the Observer’s attacks shredding them to nothing. The only thing that remained partly was the ocean. But even that was shrinking.
The all-destructive purple lasers knew Ackster had an affinity for water. After all, the Observer had created Ackser and stuffed him into the original Ackster Phileam’s body, which had an affinity for water.
The Observer had also seen Ackster’s journey and knew about his acquired affinity for water through the Sea God Manual and the Unimportant Whatever Art. The Observer was more aware of Ackster’s affinity for water than Ackster himself since Ackster didn’t think too deeply about it.
Ackster knew he had an affinity for water. But he had yet to understand how great it was.
Not just anyone could master the Unimportant Whatever Arts in the few years he had done it. It was the same with the Sea God Manual. Ackster hadn’t gotten the opportunity to put the Manual to full use since he acquired Ichor. But the Manual’s requirements were as stringent as one could expect of a mana training method from one who conquered the oceans of the world.
Ackster’s talent in everything physical spoke about his potential. But Ackster’s talent wasn’t onesided. He had the potential to be the greatest at whatever he tried his hands at. That included water. 𝐟𝚛𝕖𝚎𝕨𝗲𝐛𝚗𝐨𝐯𝐞𝕝.𝐜𝗼𝗺
The ocean in Ackster’s Perfect World wasn’t just there to pad the view. It was a manifestation of his talent for water-related actions and effects. It was the representation of the part of him that dominated water.
Pushed to and beyond his limits by the Observer’s attacks that didn’t leave even the ocean alone, Ackster discovered the door to his talent. It was opened by a crack, and Ackster saw a blue light shine through the gap.
Without hesitation, he kicked open the door and embraced the part of himself he barely knew existed.
Water rushed out of the door and swept through Ackster.
In the real world, Ackster’s core melted and mixed with the water of his Perfect World.
In a Perfect World, Ackster wouldn’t be killed. This was his method to ensure that.
The Observer would have to reduce every single drop of water to nothingness to get rid of Ackster.
It took a toll on Ackster’s psyche as the experience of being one with all the water of his Perfect World was nothing he had ever experienced. The sensory impressions alone overwhelmed his mind.
But Ackster wasn’t confident in his ability to adapt for nothing. And before the Observer could properly understand what was happening, Ackster had already gained control over himself. He exercised complete and perfect control over every part of himself, not just his sense of self as Ackster.
Ackster controlled all of the water in his Perfect World.
Ackster created a clone of himself made of water and handed the Demon Sword to it. He was too busy dealing with the rapid increase of understanding of his martial arts to engage the Observer in a fight personally.
But at the same time, the clone was Ackster, and Ackster was the clone, so he still fought the Observer with his best.
The purple lasers pierced through the clone as soon as it popped up, annihilating part of it. But new water immediately healed it as it teleported in front of the Observer and slashed out with the sword.
The sword cut through the Observer’s arm.
