Arthur stepped out of their house with Sara and Karen following close behind. The man had summoned Thalenia so she could move freely and accompany Miki home, so Mona went into town to buy groceries.
It was easy enough for them to find the location of the town cathedral; it was about 300m from the Night Liberators base, and many adventurers visited the place.
The majority of them came to buy TP Elixir or do TP Gathering. Some came to perform Ascension Talents, Sara and Karen being among them. Even so, they can only do Ascension Talent at rank A.
"Welcome to the Town Cathedral. Is there anything I can help you with?" asked a nun wearing a long black robe.
"Yes, we’d like to perform the ascension talent."
"Ascension Talent? Please fill out these forms and go to the room on the right labeled Ascension Talent," explained the nun, handing Arthur three forms.
Arthur accepted them, even though he wasn’t planning on doing the Ascension Talent. Sara and Karen followed Arthur with their eyes reading the entry forms.
None of them noticed Sara and Karen’s identities. Neither of them wore Sky Sword uniforms but rather wore casual suits to avoid suspicion.
Clearly written on the form, Sara and Karen had to fill in their identities such as name, age, level, to the talent’s name, rank, and stage.
Everything must be filled in carefully so the Talent Ascension can run properly.
The door to the ascension room opened. Arthur and the two women saw a room which was not too big.
There was a circular floor in the center of the room, abstractly patterned with an ancient script written and spread over the floor in a circle.
Chairs were neatly arranged on the right side of the room, behind the pillar designated as the waiting room for the Ascension Talent participants. Arthur saw seven people waiting there, looking forward to their Ascension turn.
They stopped before the reception desk. Sara and Karen handed over the forms they had filled out. The forms were used as a formality and administrative necessity of the town cathedral, given that the Night Liberators managed the place.
In a way, the Night Liberators worked as a third party in cooperation with the cathedral on the 10th floor.
The administration had to be sent to the 10th City Cathedral for their record materials. You could say that the town cathedral was a branch of the city cathedral on the 10th floor.
"Please place your system watches in the registration box," the nurse working behind the reception desk requested.

"The administration will be done after the Ascension Talent is successful," he added, the three of them understanding that.
Sara and Karen walked together to the row of benches where the participants were waiting, Arthur following them. The three looked ahead, one by one, the participants entered the floor of the ancient rune circle.
They sat cross-legged while closing their eyes. The Ascension process began with the help of the Blue Amethyst gem and the Ruby Red gem from the town cathedral.
Sara looked forward; she had performed Ascension before when her talent was still at rank B. However, she felt that the magic energy fluctuations when performing Ascension at rank A were much different: thicker, stronger, and more abundant.
They saw the magic flow into the body of the man who performed the Ascend until his body looked bright in the color of his base element.
Arthur explained that when the moment happened, they had to concentrate fully to prevent the explosion of magic and the failure of Ascension.
"Did anyone have a failed Ascension?" asked Sara, Arthur said yes.
"Yes. If you fail to balance the magic entering your body, you will fail. If you fail to synchronize the two energies, you will fail. If you are too afraid and anxious, you will fail," Arthur replied softly.
"Then, what should we do?"
"Calm down and continue to concentrate fully. Let everything happen on its own."
Arthur again explained that when the moment of fusion began, Sara and Karen should show gentle and friendly behavior, not aggressive as to bring out their magic aura. Sara and Karen did not fully understand.
The participant successfully performed Ascension; it was seen that the magic flow turned into beautiful magic particles, and the aura emanating from him was stronger than before. Arthur pointed forward. It was a sign of a successful Ascension Talent.

Arthur stood up and congratulated Sara; now it was Karen’s turn to Ascension. Arthur returned the same message to the woman, Karen understood completely.
"Looks like she’ll be able to successfully perform the Ascension Talent as well," Sara said.
