"I’m pretty sick of groups. I’m not gonna join any group," Arthur complained.

There was a specific reason for the man’s opinion. From the first floor to the current floor, he had dealt with many groups, especially the Night Liberators. To him, a group was just a place for trouble that could ruin his dreams.

"Anyway, you offered me to join because of my abilities, right?" asked Arthur, the woman nodding slowly.

"I expected that. After this, the Mist Peak and I have no relationship whatsoever. In the future, you will have to take matters into your own hands regarding the security of your group!" said Arthur.

Not wanting to stay in that place for too long, Arthur flew off with a powerful takeoff, accompanied by the boom of powerful magic fluctuations. The woman raised her hands for a moment, avoiding the wind from Arthur’s leaving.

She looked back, seeing Arthur’s path heading west. Livia flew over to her, asking what they were planning to do about Arthur’s leaving.

"He’s a stubborn man, but I think that’s normal since he has skills," the woman explained, crossing her arms.

"Do we need to go after him and find out where he’s been?" Livia asked, and the woman shook her head.

"No, we don’t. He can detect the presence of your magic aura. It will make the perception of the Mist Peak bad in his eyes."

Livia cleared her throat in agreement, still watching the purple light trailing Arthur’s flight, "Okay."

It was quite a distance from the Mist Peak to the Sky Sword. Arthur had to fly over several groups below.

They felt the boom of the magic and felt stronger than them, but not a single fool dared to risk their lives just to stop him.

After passing over several hills, Arthur saw the 17th Sky Sword base thoroughly. Some members were guarding the three gates of the base, some were also guarding the watchtower of the place.

Looking at their numbers, Arthur could confirm that they had the best power among the other groups on the floor. It was enough to make them feel stable in this place.

From the sky, the man witnessed three squads practicing on the main field of the base. They were practicing with the sparring method, between one squad and another. The rest, they were assigned to patrol the outer regions of the 17th Sky Sword’s territory.

Not only that, there were other squads from the group that were assigned to joint missions. The joint mission in question was a mission to eradicate wild monsters and expand the green zone, of course with the aim of making the 17th floor a safe place for all mages.

DASH!

Arthur accelerated his flight speed, arriving in the sky of the base to attract the attention of many members.

Not wanting to cause trouble, Arthur flew low as he changed his clothes. The purple-patterned black shirt changed into Sky Sword’s signature blue and white suit.

"He’s a Sky Sword member?"

"Is it possible that he is a member of the 13th squad?"

"I don’t know. His magic aura is stronger than Captain Noah’s."

A hubbub broke out among the crowd of people. The members of Sky Sword 17th were gathered in the area near the main field, many of them rushing out of their dorms just to see the figure of a man with such a powerful aura, for the first time for them.

Noah, the captain of Sky Sword 17th, stepped out from the study and base building of Sky Sword 17th.

His eyes sharpened in focus and his brows furrowed at the sight of that man’s figure hovering near the main field.

Sara was informed by a guard that the members of the 13th squad had arrived. With hurried steps, the woman left the safe house with Karen and Mona following close behind.

"Arthur?" greeted Sara, smiling broadly.

Arthur heard the greeting from Sara. The man turned his head and smiled broadly, greeting Sara and the others who came to greet him.

Realizing Arthur’s strength was stronger, Noah chose to be friendly with him. Maybe by maintaining good relations, Arthur can provide some valuable items that can improve his abilities.

"Welcome to the Sky Sword 17th base. You must be from the 13th squad, right?" asked Noah, stepping closer to Arthur and shaking the man’s hand firmly.

Arthur smiled a little, welcoming Noah’s hand in a friendly manner, "That’s right. I’m in the same squad as Sara."

Sara and the others walked over to Arthur. They smiled and welcomed Arthur’s arrival at the venue. However, Sara realized something was different. Miki was nowhere near Arthur.

"I don’t see Miki. Where is she?" asked Sara.

"I’ll tell you everything when I’m at the safe house."

Noah was eager to find out how Arthur got stronger. He invited Arthur to visit his quarters, the man glanced to the side and Sara responded with a nod. To Sara, Noah was a cooperative captain, so Arthur had nothing to worry about.

Believing Sara’s words, Arthur accepted Noah’s invitation. Sara followed while Karen and Mona returned to the safe house.

Noah explained that no previous squad from the 10th floor had made it to this point in recent years.

The last group to arrive from the 10th floor was Andrew’s raid group. That also happened a few years ago. The 13th squad was the first to arrive at that place after a long absence.

"This is just a random question, what exactly is your magic tier, Arthur?" asked Noah, curious.

"I’m at tier four, the Venerable Sage stage to be precise."

"Tier four? Venerable Sage?" shocked Noah as he stopped his steps and looked at Arthur with wide eyes.

’Is he from the top floor?’ Noah asked.

Noah asked what floor access rights Arthur had. Without hesitation, the man said that his access rights had only reached the 17th floor, which surprised Noah even more.

’He’s only explored 17 floors but his tier is already at Venerable Sage. Is he tricking me?’ Noah asked.

They arrived at a fairly spacious room, used by Noah as a study. There, Arthur saw rows of well-maintained bookshelves, soft couches and glass tables, as well as cabinets filled with valuable items.

The Sky Sword flag was displayed behind Noah’s desk, and his desk was quite full of files. However, Noah had already completed all of them. Most were membership requests, squad member promotions, and monster raid supply lists and statistics.

"Sorry if this place is a bit messy, we’ve been really busy lately," Noah said, Arthur shook his head, not bothered.

Arthur and Sara sat on the long couch, Noah’s aide pouring them drinks. Noah took the initiative to get closer to Arthur. He offered wine to the man, Arthur certainly didn’t refuse the invitation.

The water was replaced by wine, accompanied by a snack of pastries made in the base kitchen. Arthur was quite appreciative of their hospitality, it seemed they were much nicer than Tris.

"There’s something I want to ask you. It’s about how you get high and fast," Noah explained, Arthur listened as he downed the wine in his glass.

"What’s your secret? Do you know the location of the hidden treasures on each floor?" Noah asked.

"In a way, my method of gaining power is different from the average mage."

’Looks like he’s hiding something,’ Noah said, squinting.

Noah turned his head forward, looking at the woman who was his aide. The woman said yes, understanding Noah’s request.

With her beauty charm talent, she activated the talent and spread the effect throughout the room. For men, they would be trapped in the illusion of a flower garden with the figure of Noah’s aide appearing naked with a beautiful body and smooth fair skin.

For women, they would be fast asleep and in a beautiful dreamland. The beauty enchantment talent effect went smoothly, Sara fell asleep not as a result of the wine, but mesmerized by the talent of Noah’s aide.

Arthur sensed the power of the persona being activated. The surrounding area turned into an illusion of a beautiful garden full of colorful flowers blooming, a real picture of heaven on Earth.

From the direction of the trees, Arthur saw a woman walking gracefully wearing a long, thin white dress.

The man could see her breasts and private areas, the woman kept stepping closer to him with a seductive smile.

"You are a powerful man. Do you want to spend a wonderful time with me in this place?" asked the woman, arriving in front of Arthur while taking off her transparent white dress.

Arthur sighed, he really disliked it when someone used a talent persona to trick his mind. Arthur snapped his fingers and canceled the persona’s magic, accompanied by a powerful magical boom capable of shaking anything in the room.

Noah’s aide fell to his knees, not expecting Arthur to cancel her beauty enchantment talent so easily.

The man sighed softly. He picked up the wine bottle and stood up from his seat, "Thank you for your hospitality, we will return to the safe house."

Sara woke up and realized Noah’s aide looked exhausted. Arthur took Sara’s hand and led her away without telling her what happened.

"I didn’t expect him to be able to cancel out my beauty charm talent," explained Noah’s aide.
