"Aaron? What do you really want?" asked Naufal.

"I just want to join the monster raid and climb to the 28th floor," Aaron replied while still holding his hand out to withstand the force of the magic blast from the battle before him, "However, I don’t have this raid map slip."

"I heard that map slips are provided in this event. Of course, I don’t want to miss the opportunity," Aaron explained.

The battle outside the floor boss area came to a halt, both parties were injured with significant damage. Because of the battle, none of the groups signed up to challenge the floor boss.

Aaron also stopped his protective magic. He looked to the right and left, seeing several groups and parties exhausted from the fight.

"So, you have no bad intentions towards us?" asked Naura, acting innocent.

"Haha!"

"If I intended to kill you and your brother, we would have already done it when we arrived at this dark pillar," Aaron replied, smiling slightly at Naura’s innocence.

[Floor Boss Cooldown:]

[00:00:00:02]

[00:00:00:01]

The boss room door opened, revealing a flame eagle monster ready to challenge anyone. The group of adventurers were still injured from the battle they had fought earlier. At least they needed to rest, or if they were desperate, they could challenge the floor boss with their lives at stake.

Among all the groups or parties, only Aaron’s party and a few other parties were not involved in the fight earlier. Since they didn’t want to waste time, he told them to go through the floor boss challenge first.

Aaron turned to the two party leaders who had not been involved in the fight earlier. The two party leaders nodded, they invited Aaron to take the first one.

That’s because both of them saw what Aaron’s abilities were like when protecting his party mates.

The man turned his head. Naufal and Naura were still in shock as the person they met in this raid was Aaron Lewis, a high-level fugitive from the Night Liberators group. Aerith patted Naufal’s shoulder lightly, shifting the young man’s attention to the side.

"Don’t worry. His current purpose is to climb the floor, not because of anything else," Aerith said, instantly calming Naufal’s heart.

’If what she says is true, then Naura and I have nothing to be afraid of,’ said Naufal.

In the end, Naufal nodded his head, as did Naura. They invited Aaron to lead them to the floor boss.

Aaron stepped in front, with Naura and Naufal following behind. Several group captains laughed scornfully, saying that Aaron’s party would not succeed in defeating the floor boss.

"It would take at least five Senior Sage-level persons to defeat that floor boss. I doubt they can do it," revealed the group captain, doubting that Aaron could defeat the floor boss.

The man heard all their scolding and cursing. It was a reason for Aaron to prove to them that he could defeat the Flame Eagle monster boss easily.

He placed his palm on the panel of the fingerprint sensor box. Instantly, the panel glowed and brought up detailed information about the registering party.

[Boss Floor Challenge]

[Registration successful]

[Team Name: Aaron’s Party]

[Team Leader: Aaron Lewis]

[Number of Team Members: 2]

[Challenge: Fire Eagle]

[WARNING!]

[The team taking the challenge cannot retreat]

[The team can leave only once the boss is dead]

[Take the challenge?]

[Yes] [No]

Only Aaron got the notification panel. Without hesitation, Aaron pressed the confirm menu to bring up another panel, the notification panel about the host approving the floor boss challenge.

[Floor boss challenge approved]

The door to the boss room opened again, and all attention was drawn to the place, hoping they could fight the floor boss after Aaron.

Some groups began to heal quickly, as those who could heal faster would get their turn to challenge the next floor boss.

[Monster Details]

[Monster: Flame Feather Eagle]

[Level: 165]

[HP: 215000/215000]

[MP: 225000/225000]

[Element: Fire]

Torches flashed red in sequence from right to left, a large monster shaped like an eagle with feathers of flame appeared before them, hovering freely while spouting fire from its mouth.

Naura trembled with shivers; Naufal was the same, although he didn’t want to show his weakness to Naura. Aerith walked forward, standing in line right next to Aaron.

"Do I need to defeat it like when I defeated that centipede?" asked Aerith.

"No."

"Let me do it this time," Aaron replied.

Aerith cleared her throat in agreement, leaving the stage for this battle to Aaron while she went to look after Naura and Naufal. Aerith ordered the two siblings to step a little away from the place.

"But shouldn’t we help him?" asked Naufal.

"It’s okay. You don’t have to worry about that. He’s fine," Aerith replied.

The woman protected herself along with Naura and Naufal in a maroon dome sphere that was strong enough to protect them easily and safely.

The focus of the two people’s eyes was glued to the front, looking at Aaron, who began to emit his purple magic.

Aaron’s hand-stretched forward and won the Flame Feather Eagle easily. The monster couldn’t break free as the powerful purple magic chains held its body.

[Name: Aaron Lewis]

[MP: 1236000/1375000] [-45000]

Just as the monster was shackled in a chain of flame magic, hundreds of dimensional magic portals appeared, surrounding the monster from all directions.

Naura and Naufal could only gape, not expecting that Aaron also had dimensional abilities —similar to Aerith.

"Destroy it!" declared Aaron, pointing two fingers of his right hand toward the flaming eagle.

In a flash, a purple orb shot out of the dimensional portal and exploded just as it clashed with the eagle monster. Not just one purple orb, but hundreds of others shot out and did the same.

[Damage +125000]

[Damage +350000]

[Critical +750000]

[Triple Combo!] [Great!]

[Monster: Fire Feather Eagle]

[Level: 165]

[HP: 0/215000] [-1225000]

"What?! One million damage?!" Naufal was shocked; his eyes widened, and he realized his strength was far below Aaron’s strength.

With his talent, Aaron managed to defeat the Flame Feather Eagle Monster, the floor boss, in a single attack.

Aerith was still reaching out, blocking the magic blasts from the consecutive purple orb explosions that were still hitting the monster.

But the first three attacks from the purple orbs defeated the monster. That was enough for Aaron.

Slowly, the magic wave faded until it disappeared entirely. Aaron turned around and stepped satisfied, approaching them, Naufal and the others.

"Congratulations, Aaron," Aerith smiled.

"Thank you."

[DING! Congratulations on getting several items]

[EXP +150000]

[TP +75000]

[Choose TP allocation:]

[1. Dark Dimensional Reality]

[2. High Sealing]

[3. Clone Manipulation]

[RL +100000]

[Item Obtained:]

[1 Grade S Eagle Flame Feather]

[Fragment of full beast fire element]

[Sky-breaking Eagle Sword]

[5 HP Potion]

[5 MP Elixir]

[10 Red Ruby Gem]

With the items obtained, Aaron’s EXP increased again, even though it was not very significant. For TP itself, Aaron needs to increase TP on his third talent, Clone Manipulation, hoping that Aaron can create more clones when the talent ascends to the next level.

[STATUS]

[EXP: 2004500/12500000] [+150000]

[Additional Talent: Clone Manipulation]

[TP: 75000/799999tp] [+75000]

Aaron nodded. At least he needed as much as 10 million EXP to be able to level up to the next level. What he suspected turned out to be true, the higher the level and mage tier, the greater the EXP needs.

[CONGRATULATIONS!]

[You have successfully completed the Dark Pillar’s 27th boss challenge]

[The next floor of Dark Pillar Tower has been unlocked]

[Floor Access Privilege: 28th]

[Want to go to the next floor?]

[Yes] [No]

"Wait... we have to hand over those items to Sky Sword. Remember?" asked Naufal.

"You’re right."

Aaron handed over all the items he had gotten to Naufal, but not the soul essence, as it didn’t include the dropped items provided by this place. Naufal accepted the items and put them in storage.

"Let’s go," said Naufal.

"Aerith and I will go straight up to the 28th floor," Aaron explained.

"Wait! Then what about the prize?" asked Naura.

Aaron pressed the floor teleportation confirmation menu, another panel appeared before the man, with a blue light shining on his body.

[Teleportation to the next floor confirmed]

[Destination: 28th]

[Initiate teleportation to destination in five minutes]

[00:00:04:59]

"You guys take all those prizes. I don’t need them."

"I’ll disband the party in the morning. So, hurry back to Sky Sword base to get the prizes," Aaron pleaded.

"But you are the one who is credited with—"

Naufal stopped Naura’s words. The young man knew there was a specific intention behind Aaron’s actions.

His purpose for participating in this event was not to seek benefits or money but to climb the floor.

He doesn’t care about anything else as long as he can get on the floor. Naufal understood that and had no intention of preventing Aaron.

"Thank you for helping us," nodded Naufal, bowing his head.

"If you want to leave this place, join my group, the Shadow Rulers," Aaron explained.

"Shadow Ruler?"

"Lewis will help you improve your skills. So, make good use of that chance," Aaron said.

"Tell him that you had a party with me. He’ll let you join."

"What if he doesn’t believe me?" asked Naufal.

"He will."
