Chapter 305: Who Did Wang Futong Go to See?

The salesperson was delighted and immediately went to fetch the large plastic tanks. After two trips back and forth, she finally brought out all the tanks from the warehouse. Qin Kaize paid the bill and arranged for the cooperative’s delivery service to bring the items to their door.

The cooperative had a dedicated tricycle delivery service, and since there were no other tasks at the moment, the delivery man agreed to help transport the items to the small house for just five cents. Qin Kaize and Su Yijia even got to ride along on the tricycle.

As they passed through the street, a black car sped by. Su Yijia’s eyes widened as she glimpsed a familiar figure inside.

"What did you see?" Qin Kaize, worried about her sudden movement, quickly held her legs in place.

"Wang Futong is in that car. The license plate is 13--XXX," Su Yijia whispered.

Qin Kaize nodded, understanding her concern. He planned to have someone check who the car belonged to, especially since their relationship with Wang Futong was so strained. They needed to stay vigilant.

Back at the small house, Qin Kaize’s men had not yet arrived. They closed the door to ensure no one was watching and immediately stored the items in the space. Su Yijia took out some fruits, homemade wine, and a sack of peanuts.

"We can have some snacks while we chat. I’ll make some fried peanuts," Su Yijia said. She knew Qin Kaize wouldn’t want her to cook a whole meal and didn’t want him to be burdened, so she decided to prepare something simple. The fruit wine was also a small gift for his subordinates.

"Don’t just make fried peanuts; you’ll need to shell them too. Wait here; I’ll make a pot of boiled peanuts," Qin Kaize said, taking the peanuts into the kitchen.

Su Yijia didn’t stop him and instead took out the small ceramic jars from the space. She asked, "Kaize, how many people are coming?"

"Three."

Su Yijia opened the jars, removed the fruit soaked in wine, and buried them in the soil within the space. Then she filled the jars with fresh wine, setting aside one small jar for them to taste and the rest for them to take back.

Once everything was ready, Su Yijia was about to ask Qin Kaize about preparing larger ceramic jars when she suddenly sensed something. Her sharp and wary gaze shot towards the courtyard.

In the next moment, three agile men flipped over the wall and landed smoothly in the yard.

"Boss!" they called out.

Seeing Su Yijia sitting in the living room startled them, but she had already toned down her fierce aura by the time they spoke.

"Sister-in-law?" The three men called out uncertainly.

"Hello, Kaize is in the kitchen. Please have some fruit while you wait; he’ll be out soon," Su Yijia said, standing and nodding to them.

Just as she was about to call Qin Kaize, he emerged from the kitchen carrying a pot of boiled peanuts.

"You’re here? Sit down," Qin Kaize said casually, giving them a quick glance. He pulled a chair over and sat next to Su Yijia. Seeing them standing around awkwardly, he said, "What are you still standing for? Go to the kitchen and get some bowls. Your sister-in-law made some fruit wine for you to try."

"Thank you, sister-in-law," they thanked her quickly and hurried into the kitchen. 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝙚𝙬𝓮𝙗𝒏𝙤𝒗𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝒐𝓶

After washing the bowls and returning, they sat down, and Su Yijia was about to pour the wine. They quickly got up to do it themselves, not daring to let Su Yijia handle it.

"Sister-in-law, we’ll do it ourselves," they insisted.

Su Yijia found their overly polite behavior a bit strange and glanced at Qin Kaize, who was watching them intently.

She was both amused and a bit exasperated but decided not to intervene further.

Yu Xingwang and the others didn’t expect a young person like Su Yijia to brew good wine. However, after tasting it, they were surprised by its smooth, fruity flavor and the rich, mellow taste. It was far from the weak stuff they had tried before.

"This wine is incredible, sister-in-law! It’s so good!" they praised her enthusiastically, taking large sips.

The warm sensation spreading through their bodies was subtle but noticeable to those trained to sense such things. The shock in their eyes reflected their astonishment.

"Sister-in-law, is this wine more than just fruit wine?" Yu Xingwang asked cautiously.

Since their boss seemed to be aware of the wine’s effects and was willing to let them taste it, it was clear he wasn’t trying to hide anything.

"Yes, it has some medicinal properties. It can improve sleep quality, alleviate coldness, relieve back pain, boost immunity, and brighten complexion," Su Yijia explained openly.

The wine was made with ordinary water and fruits from the space, not something particularly extraordinary, but it was indeed a good product. Su Yijia herself found it quite pleasant and believed it could be sold if needed.

"Really?" Hou Dahai was surprised.

Instead of boasting, Su Yijia pointed to the three small jars of wine. "I’ve prepared one jar for each of you to take home. You can take it with you. Of course, I’m not asking you to drink excessively for testing purposes; I just enjoyed making it."

"Thank you, sister-in-law!"

"You’re the best, sister-in-law!"

They expressed their gratitude, eager to try the wine for themselves. The exceptional taste alone made it a sought-after item, even without considering its other benefits.

"I asked you here today to buy plastic boxes, the large ones from the cooperative. Here are the tickets and money. Buy about a hundred for now," Qin Kaize said, handing them a small stack of ten-yuan bills and a large pile of tickets.

"Sure, we’ll check out nearby cities in the next few days. The bricks are already being fired at the brick factory and should be ready in about a week," Yu Xingwang said, taking the money and wiping his hands before peeling more peanuts.

The peanuts, plump and sweet, were far better than the ones they’d bought outside. They confirmed that each peanut was indeed of high quality.

They didn’t think much of it beyond appreciating Su Yijia’s effort to offer them good peanuts, believing she had chosen them specially for them.

"Also, I need you to find someone to make two oil-pressing barrels," Qin Kaize added, taking out a drawing Su Yijia had made.

Yu Xingwang reached out to take it but hesitated when Qin Kaize pulled it back, wrinkling his nose at the sight of Yu Xingwang’s hands covered in peanut salt water.
