Run Away After Flirting: Get Lost, Mr. Attorney!-Chapter 141: Who Are You Showing That Jealous, Annoyed Expression To?
"...Got it." Summer Nolan coldly finished speaking and hung up the phone, still worried about the dog. If something were to happen to them, she would feel guilty for the rest of her life.
She quickly left the house; his villa was in this neighborhood, just a few minutes’ drive away.
Elias Spencer stood up from the sofa, saw her arrive, and slightly curled his lips, his sharp gaze scanning her over. Although she was dressed in loungewear, he didn’t smell the scent of a bath.
She hadn’t showered.
That Ian Sterling was deliberately lying to deceive her. How could she easily believe what that man said?
Summer Nolan glanced at him as she entered the living room, didn’t speak to him, and went straight to Elias’s bedroom.
She pushed open the bedroom door, only to see Elias sleeping quietly in the dog bed, showing no signs of giving birth. She coldly turned back to look at him,
"Didn’t you say it was about to give birth?"
"It really looked like it was going to give birth before, constantly whimpering in the bed. It’s probably exhausted from the cries and fell asleep." Elias Spencer said in a deep voice, forgetting to wake Elias up to act out the scene.
Summer Nolan walked to Elias’s side, touched its round, big belly. This little guy must have been too sleepy; it just raised its eyelids to glance at her, then went back to sleep.
Not disturbing it any further, she stood up, left the room, and closed the door. She coldly questioned this man, "Attorney Spencer, are you bored? Where does it look like it’s about to give birth? If you’re so bored, go play with your assistant."
After saying this, she was about to leave when Elias Spencer suddenly grabbed her arm and pulled her back, pinning her against the hallway wall, intently looking into her eyes and explaining,
"I didn’t mean to pinch you during the day. Even if you dislike Iris Lynn, you shouldn’t have hit her. She hasn’t done anything bad to you.
Instead, it was you who not only exposed her assault situation but also made her the laughingstock of the entire law firm, and hit her indiscriminately in public. Is that the right thing to do?"
When Summer Nolan heard his explanation, she laughed. How is this an explanation? It was clearly a blame. An uncontrolled anger surged in her heart, almost hitting her skull—
"If you trust her so much, then just continue trusting her. Why are you telling me all this?"
"You’re a highly educated woman, you should be rational and not be as unreasonable as those young girls." He really didn’t understand when she became so unruly?
"Alright, alright, I’m unreasonable, I’m a bad woman, I’m scheming and ruthless, unlike your assistant who is weak and pitiful, a simple little white flower. Quickly go to your assistant, why are you still tugging on me?"
Summer Nolan didn’t originally want to be angry because of these two people, but she really couldn’t control her emotions when she heard him speak.
Finished speaking in a low voice, she pushed against his hand that was confining her, "Let go!!!"
Elias Spencer had been trying to talk her down, how come the more he tried to persuade her, the more emotional she got?
"Iris Lynn even knelt to you today, let’s just forget about it. You’re a renowned attorney, no need to be at odds with a little assistant, be a bit more magnanimous." He said again in a calmer tone.
Persuade her? This was clearly standing up for his assistant, right? Summer Nolan looked at this man, feeling a nameless anger in her heart.
"Is Attorney Spencer done talking? If so, move aside." She pushed him away angrily and was about to leave when he suddenly pulled her back again, resting both hands on her shoulders,
"Don’t be angry anymore, let’s just let this matter pass."
Summer Nolan took a deep breath, calmly laughed,
"I’m obviously not going to be angry for someone who’s not worth it. By the way, Ian Sterling and I are already in a relationship, so please keep your distance from me, Attorney Spencer. I don’t want my boyfriend to misunderstand."
They were already in a relationship?!!
Elias Spencer looked at her with a heavy gaze, unknowingly squeezing her shoulders harder, exuding a cold aura that could freeze someone solid.
Summer Nolan felt uncomfortable being stared at by him, and also found this man laughable. Isn’t he very concerned about his assistant, accusing her of bullying his assistant?
Who is he trying to show with that jealous and displeased expression?
"Attorney Spencer, please let go. Now we both have other halves, so please self... um..." The word ’restraint’ was yet to be finished when she was suddenly pulled down for a forceful kiss by this man.
"You bastard, let go of me!" Summer Nolan struggled to turn her head, but she couldn’t avoid him.
The warm touch suddenly covered her lips, carrying the unique cold fragrance of his body, forcefully prying open her teeth.
His kiss was filled with suppressed urgency and a hint of angry ferocity.
Summer Nolan’s pupils shrank abruptly, her eyelashes trembling violently, her hands pushing and hitting him forcefully.
During the day he wanted to strangle her for another woman, just now he was accusing her for his assistant, and now he wants to take advantage of her?
The anger in her heart quickly spread through every pore of her body, wishing she could kick this man into The Cerulean Sea to feed the sharks!
But she just didn’t have the strength over him, exerting all her effort she couldn’t push away this jerk, her nose uncontrollably turned sour—
Bastard! While caring for his assistant, he still wants to take advantage of her.
Elias Spencer wrapped an arm around her waist, pinning her firmly against the wall, leaving her no room to retreat. She wanted to date someone else?
Don’t even think about it!
Summer Nolan bit his lip open, the man winced from the pain and had to let her go a little, looking down at the woman with a face full of hatred, his breath hotly landing on her cheek, he commanded coldly:
"You’re not allowed to date other men."
"This is my private matter, what’s it got to do with you? Move!" She angrily pushed this domineering bastard away.
Elias Spencer pressed her hands above her head, looking at her with dark eyes, gritting his teeth silently, he could only threaten,
"If Ian Sterling finds out that it was you who set up his father to be harassed by a man, and made Summit lose the case, causing him such a big loss, I wonder if he would still date you?"
Summer Nolan heard his words, her eyebrows furrowed, glaring at him hatefully, unwilling to compromise,
"Then go and tell him. His father was the one who retaliated against me first; he likes me so much, I’m sure he would understand."
"Really? These two things you’ve done are no small matters, can he really understand you? Well, try it then..." Elias Spencer sneered, saying this and releasing her hands.
Summer Nolan felt uneasy inside; these two things were indeed not trivial matters, if Sean Sterling were to find out, she would really be in big trouble.
"Stay away from Ian Sterling, don’t date him, or I’ll really tell him." He said in a deep voice once more.
"...Go tell him then."
After a moment of internal struggle, Summer Nolan still didn’t want to compromise with this man; she said coldly, then suddenly kicked him hard in the shin and left.
She definitely had to stay away from him and avoid being alone with him to prevent being further taken advantage of.
Elias Spencer saw her leave so resolutely this time, he silently clenched his hands, took a cigarette from his black trousers pocket, and irritably drew out one to bite on.
Lighting it up, he took a deep puff, exhaling thick smoke.
The next morning.
Summer Nolan returned to the law firm after finishing in court. Iris Lynn saw her returning, her lips slightly curling, and went to the pantry to get a cup of coffee, heading to her office door to knock—
The surrounding colleagues couldn’t help but look her way, whispering gossip:
"Is that Iris Lynn a sucker? Or is she crazy? Attorney Nolan dislikes her so much, yet she’s still bringing coffee?"
