Rural Strongest Little Divine Doctor-Chapter 1768: Empty Warehouse
Luo Yang signaled to the man in the shirt to let them in.
By doing this, Luo Yang was assuming that The Tenth Mu Tan was not the mastermind.
Otherwise, it would be walking right into a trap, a death wish.
There were some loud knocks, followed by someone inside asking, "Who is it?"
The man in the shirt replied, "It’s me."
After a moment, the sound of the door opening was heard.
Amidst the rattling sound, the warehouse’s sliding door opened, and another crew-cut man stood behind the door.
"After he destroyed the Blood Devil, I brought him here to let 008 handle it," said the man in the shirt.
"008 didn’t ask you to catch him!" the crew-cut man said discontentedly.
Don’t want the prey delivered to your doorstep?
Luo Yang considered kicking the crew-cut man, but acting impulsively now would affect the bigger picture.
"I thought it better to catch him than to let him go," said the man in the shirt.
"Dare to act without orders, 008 will punish you! You know the consequences are serious!" said the crew-cut man.
The man in the shirt’s face changed drastically, indicating that the punishment was deadly.
Not knowing if Aunt Thirteen and others were still inside the warehouse, Luo Yang hesitated to take action and decided to wait and see.
The man in the shirt was already sweating, his voice trembled, "I will personally explain to 008."
The crew-cut man coldly said, "It’s useless, no matter how much you explain."
As he spoke, he glanced at The Tenth Mu Tan who had accompanied them.
As a result, the crew-cut man looked uneasy, his eyes darting around.
Vaguely, Luo Yang felt that The Tenth Mu Tan might be the mastermind.
The conversation between the crew-cut man and the man in the shirt might be nothing more than a joke.
Looking again at The Tenth Mu Tan, he appeared very calm, showing no unusual expression.
The crew-cut man wouldn’t let them in, leading to an awkward moment at the warehouse entrance for the three of them.
The surroundings were quite quiet, suggesting the warehouse was not frequently used, with few people moving around nearby.
Luo Yang said, "You don’t need me, just let me go! I’ve done as you asked, yet you still hold me captive, that’s not fair!"
The crew-cut man glared at Luo Yang, coldly saying, "You’re in no position to speak! Say another word, and I’ll blow your head off!"
The precise number of people inside the warehouse remained unknown.
When asked previously, the man in the shirt said there were about eight people.
Now, only the crew-cut man had emerged, with no sign of others, and 008 had not appeared either.
"Your boss didn’t tell you to catch me, are you not letting me go? Or call your boss, let her deal with me herself!" Luo Yang said.
"Since you’re caught, don’t think about leaving so easily!" the crew-cut man retorted coldly.
"Take him in first; it’s not convenient to talk here," said the man in the shirt.
Fortunately, the crew-cut man stepped aside, apparently allowing the man in the shirt to take Luo Yang into the warehouse.
Just upon entering, all was dim, and only after passing a few large crates did some dim yellow lights become visible.
It was quiet inside, with no voices heard.
The warehouse, about the size of a basketball court, was piled high with goods.
Scanning the area revealed no signs of anyone.
At this point, Luo Yang signaled to the man in the shirt to inquire with the crew-cut man.
The man in the shirt understood and asked, "Where’s 008?"
The crew-cut man replied, "Just went out. You should think about how to appease her anger. Or else you’ll cry and have no tears left!"
Hearing their conversation, Luo Yang thought to himself that things didn’t look good.
Hoping to swiftly rescue Aunt Thirteen and others, it now seemed less easy than imagined.
Another signal to the man in the shirt led him to ask, "Where did 008 go?"
The crew-cut man impatiently said, "Took those people away, said it might not be safe here anymore."
In thinking carefully, the fact that the crew-cut man dared to speak this way indicated he wasn’t being monitored.
Luo Yang said, "Is it just you here?"
The crew-cut man retorted coldly, "You’re not far from death!"
With a sneer, Luo Yang freed his hands from the hemp rope binding them.
The crew-cut man was shocked, and before he could react, he was surrounded by Luo Yang, The Tenth Mu Tan, and the man in the shirt.
Only then did the crew-cut man realize he was the real prey.
"You dare be a traitor!" glared the crew-cut man at the man in the shirt.
Before the words were finished, a swoosh sounded, and a cold light shot toward the man in the shirt.
With a miserable cry, the man in the shirt covered his neck with both hands, staggered, and fell to the ground.
It turned out, his throat had been pierced by a hidden weapon, leaving a hole.
Two more whooshes followed.
Strangely, the next two hidden weapons were aimed at Luo Yang.
Being a practitioner of Shadow Boxing, Luo Yang naturally was not worried about being hit; after all, Shadow Fist passively granted defensive abilities.
At the moment the hidden weapons were fired, Luo Yang advanced swiftly and realized, after a few moves, that the crew-cut man’s martial skills weren’t strong, but he couldn’t be subdued by just one or two moves.
The Tenth Mu Tan joined the attack, and the crew-cut man shouted, "Don’t kill me!"
Luo Yang replied coldly, "If you want to live, then obey."
Immediately, the crew-cut man raised his hands, willing to be taken captive by Luo Yang.
Having captured the crew-cut man alive, Luo Yang couldn’t feel happy since Aunt Thirteen and others were still not rescued.
Back at the hotel, after knocking out the man in the shirt and giving him the Master Servant Pill, perhaps 008 had already sensed something was wrong.
The Master Servant Pill didn’t take effect immediately upon consumption.
If 008’s location couldn’t be determined, Aunt Thirteen was doomed.
At this moment, the crew-cut man’s phone started ringing.
Preventing him from answering would cause more trouble.
Luo Yang took the crew-cut man’s phone, checked the caller ID, and saw the name 008.
It seemed these people indeed used numbers as names in their daily work.
After some thought, Luo Yang picked up the call, turned on the speaker, and placed it in front of the crew-cut man.
The voice on the other end was that of a strange woman.
"How’s it going over there?" 008 asked.
Before answering, the crew-cut man looked at Luo Yang for instructions.
Luo Yang gestured not to speak the truth.
Thus, the crew-cut man said, "No sign of anyone."
Thinking he might deceive 008, she laughed coldly.
"Are you trying to fool me now too?" 008 laughed.
The crew-cut man’s face turned ashen, evidently sensing the scent of doom.
"008, please, I was forced!" the crew-cut man said in panic.
At this stage, Luo Yang had no other choice but to lay it all out with the strange woman.
"I’ve destroyed the Blood Devil as you asked, why won’t you release my friends?" Luo Yang angrily demanded.
A burst of triumphant laughter came from the other end, suggesting 008 was proud of her cunning plan.
After laughing, 008 said, "I knew you would come, but unfortunately you’re a step too late!"
Luo Yang wished he could fly over there by radio and beat up the strange woman.
"Then what do you want?" Luo Yang asked, suppressing his anger.
"It’s simple. Did you really destroy the Blood Devil?" the strange woman asked coldly.
If The Tenth Mu Tan was indeed the mastermind, then the strange woman knew everything.
In other words, nothing Luo Yang said would matter.
Yet, at this point, he could only bluff his way through.
"I poured that potion on the Blood Devil; whether it’s destroyed, I’m not sure!" Luo Yang replied coldly.
"The potion can remove the Blood Devil’s spiritual essence, but its form remains. Show the Blood Devil to my people!" 008 demanded.
