S-Rank Harem: I Became My Character with Extra Control Skill-Chapter 38: Debt – The S-Rank Heroines Need Support
Even though Ryan had faced the final floor of the dungeon alone.
Which included three consecutive bosses he managed to defeat in the end.
What he hadn’t calculated was the boss chamber collapsing with him inside the moment of victory, sending him plummeting from an absurd height.
But because Karol had arrived and managed to save him, he was able to complete the level and survive.
"Hey! I’m talking to you!"
But Ryan’s gaze was fixed on the system window that had taken its time to appear.
[Bonus acquired X3: +1,140,000 XP]

[Luck Bonus: +1,140,000 XP]
[Level increased x3]
[Level bonus: +60 points]
[Attributes increased: +30 to all stats]
"So the dungeon considers that to beat the boss... you also have to survive the fall?" Ryan murmured after finishing checking the system notification.
"Ryan! Don’t ignore me, Ryan!" Karol said, planting herself right in front of him.
He looked at her for a second, and before Ryan could respond, the system window appeared again before his eyes.
[New reward received]
[Box — Epic]
’What is this? Is this how epic weapons come?’
The box appeared at chest height, and when he reached out his hand, it fell onto his palm.
Karol, seeing it, fixed her eyes on it from very close range.
"Wow, an epic item! What is it? What is it? Open it now!"
Ryan pushed her face away, as it was almost colliding with the box.
"Calm down, you’re acting like a child." 𝐟𝚛𝕖𝚎𝕨𝗲𝐛𝚗𝐨𝐯𝐞𝕝.𝐜𝗼𝗺
Excitement was present in Ryan.
He reached level 85 and also got a new epic-level item after defeating the boss.
Upon opening the item.
A small bottle with a golden cap.
’What? Is that all?’
Immediately, Ryan analyzed it.
The item was named.
"Hero’s Relic," he murmured.
"Eh? I’ve heard of those, though I haven’t heard of anyone actually using them," Karol commented.
The description of the Hero’s Relic said that, upon opening it and aiming it at a demon, they would be sealed inside the bottle; it could only be used once.
Although it wasn’t a lethal item, it was more of a prison.
"I wanted some epic weapon, not a simple bottle."
"Hey! It’s not that simple. Maybe it can even be used against a demon king. Or if we sell it at the guild, we’d be very rich."
When Ryan stored the item in his magic inventory, the box disappeared, and almost immediately, the system window appeared before him again.
Ding!
[Luck bonus applied: new reward received]
[Box — Epic]
Ryan swallowed hard.
Karol insisted again, as she cannot see the system windows.
And Ryan getting distracted suddenly probably made her think something was wrong.
But when Ryan opened the new box, another small object appeared.
"Epic Enchanted Earrings"
The object appeared in his hand after he murmured.
The analysis confirmed its function.
Two charges of immunity to forced teleportation. The effect consumes the wearer’s mana upon activation. It recharges automatically after a few minutes by absorbing mana.
And its use is unlimited.
Ryan placed the earring on his left ear.
Its shape was peculiar; although it was an ornament for a single ear, it was divided into two parts, connected by a black metal chain.
The black and gold pendant had one piece placed in the middle of the ear and the other piece at the bottom.
In the links of the earring’s chain, two transparent gems with a blue color inside were embedded.
Ryan assumed that would be the mana for the object’s charges.
’Even if it’s not a weapon, this is definitely an item that interests me.’
Suddenly, Ryan’s cheeks were squeezed, and his gaze connected with Karol’s.
"I’ve been talking to you for a while and you’re ignoring me! Tell me, tell me what that new object is, Ryan!"
"Ah, sorry, I got distracted. This is used to prevent those bastards from teleporting me again."
Ryan said as he touched it with the tip of his finger.
"Ho, really? I used a scroll once, but as items, they are much better. Though those are single-use. And very expensive."
"This one has unlimited use..." Ryan paused briefly.
"It’s just that it recharges by stealing my mana. Just like you do." Ryan looked at her with suspicious eyes and then sighed.
Karol looked at him for a second and then let out a short laugh.
"But don’t say it like that or I’ll steal even more mana." She pointed both her hands toward him and smiled mischievously.
Then she placed a finger on her lips and said.
"Though when I do it using my mouth, you don’t complain, right?"
"Shut up."
After finishing that trivial talk, they left the 75th floor and advanced on foot inside the 74th floor.
The idea was to explore each floor until they found Helen and Mirian.
But they hadn’t advanced far when they heard voices at the end of the 74th floor.
They weren’t combat screams. They were laughs.
Karol slowed her pace. Ryan did too.
The laughter was coming from demons.
When they turned the corner, what they found was a group of Principalities surrounding two fallen figures against the wall. He recognized them immediately: they were Alina and Dalia, the S-Rank heroines from Varvylon.
Alina had a deep cut on her side. Dalia was holding her shield with only one arm; and her legs looked distorted, as if they had been broken.
The demons continued laughing among themselves.
"Will we help them?" Karol said in a low voice.
