Sage of Humanity-Chapter 1813 - 1811: Stopped!
On the way rushing out to the sky, the three Sun Blaze from the Eastern Fangcun Mountain met at one place. They looked at each other and saw what each had in mind.
A moment later, the three flew out of Fangcun Mountain and entered the stellar space.
Turning back to look, Woo Qimo’s pupils shrank, exclaiming: "It stopped!"
Su Yuqing frowned, and Chen Xuanhai’s expression turned heavy.
The three of them had just noticed some anomalies in the main Fangcun Mountain. They initially guessed that some changes at the core triggered it, so they were full of anticipation, but when they came out and saw, it seemed not to be the case.
"What does this mean?" Woo Qimo pondered hard, unable to make sense of the sight before him as it differed from his expectations.
Since the Blood Ancestor broke open Fangcun Mountain, splitting it into three parts and losing the core, the three Fangcun Mountains have been performing what seemed like irregular, yet intricately hidden displacement, based on the core’s location.
This is precisely why the Sun Blaze of the Dwarf Race could deduce the core’s hidden location and have persisted in their efforts to find the core over the years. They’ve even dispatched numerous carefully nurtured Foreign Clan Moon Jade to that marvel.
In the Sun Blaze’s vision, if anyone could bring the core out from that marvel, then the split Fangcun Mountains would immediately start moving towards the core and eventually integrate at one spot.
All these years, Fangcun Mountain suddenly exhibited anomalous activity, making them believe it had succeeded.
But what they see before them seems otherwise.
Because if someone truly brought the core out from the marvel, the main Fangcun Mountain wouldn’t have suddenly stopped at its original position. Instead, it should have turned direction to fly towards the core’s location.
This is precisely what Woo Qimo couldn’t comprehend.
Soon after, a chilling thought crossed his mind: "The two of you, could it be that the core... is destroyed?" 𝒻𝑟ℯℯ𝑤𝑒𝑏𝑛𝘰𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝒸𝑜𝘮
It is possible to manually control Fangcun Mountain to stop. Previously the Western Fangcun Mountain stayed over the All Phenomena Ocean for two months, but this duration wouldn’t be too long; otherwise, it would impact Fangcun Mountain’s subsequent displacement path.
Now, none of the three Sun Blaze are manually controlling the main Fangcun Mountain to stop, yet it suddenly halted here. This information inevitably leads to endless speculation.
A possible reason could be that the core was destroyed, hence the Eastern side stopped.
Chen Xuanhai shook his head and said: "Although Fangcun Mountain has split, if the core were destroyed, all three parts would be in turmoil; now the East is peaceful, so the core should be unharmed."
Su Yuqing nodded unambiguously, agreeing with Chen Xuanhai’s viewpoint.
"Then what is going on?" Woo Qimo scratched his head, never in his life having encountered such a bizarre event.
Su Yuqing’s eyes flashed, saying: "There’s another possibility!"
Chen Xuanhai turned to look at her.
"Based on our analysis, the reason the three Fangcun Mountain parts cannot integrate with the core is because of an isolation force within that marvel, obstructing their integration, and if that isolation force suddenly magnified significantly, completely severing the core’s connection with the main part..."
Then such a scenario might indeed occur, because the main part moves based on the core’s location. The core so thoroughly isolated, losing that foundation, the main Fangcun Mountain stopped dead in its tracks.
"Change in the marvel!" Chen Xuanhai furrowed his brow deeper, as, if true, it’s not good news for the Dwarf Race, since the core is within the marvel, and who knows if this change is good or bad for the core?
"Isn’t Lu Yiye there for three years now?" Woo Qimo suddenly looked at Su Yuqing, "Do you think this change has anything to do with him?"
No one could answer this because the Dwarf Race over here has no way to contact Lu Ye. When Zhang Kun of the Western region sent Lu Ye near the marvel, he then left.
Given the uncertainty about whether Lu Ye would gain anything from this journey, and not knowing how many years he’d linger in the marvel, Zhang Kun could hardly wait for him all along.
Su Yuqing was silent for a moment, then suddenly turned to look at Chen Xuanhai: "Senior Brother Chen, I want to go have a look." She ultimately felt uneasy, regretting talking to Lu Ye about the core originally, not expecting that Lu Ye would act quickly upon hearing it, and immediately searched for it afterward.
Chen Xuanhai could somewhat understand Su Yuqing’s feelings and didn’t dissuade her but said: "Junior Sister, if you truly wish to go there, it’s not urgent. Nobody knows why this sudden change happened, and subsequent developments are unpredictable. Better wait a while longer, and observe the situation; maybe some new discoveries can be made... if nothing changes, going later wouldn’t be too late."
Saying this made sense. Su Yuqing suppressed her inner unease and gently nodded.
Chen Xuanhai raised his hand and said: "Let’s go back. There are changes here; likely, there are changes in the other two parts as well. Discuss with those old fellows before deciding."
The three Sun Blaze returned to the domain.
After another half day, within an illusionary hall, one illusory figure after another appeared—all Sun Blaze powerhouses of Fangcun Mountain’s psyche projection here.
Although the three parts have split, they still maintain exceedingly tight contact. At some cost, they can even allow transit among the parts.
Projecting Mental Consciousness here to discuss clan affairs in this manner is certainly not difficult. Compared to gathering physically in one location, this method costs significantly less.
The gathering of the three parts’ Sun Blaze happened just as Chen Xuanhai had anticipated. Not only did the Eastern Fangcun Mountain stop moving at that moment, but similar occurrences also happened in the Southern and Western parts.
However, no one knows the exact reason, and ultimately, it was summarized in one sentence—the core was completely isolated, which caused the anomaly of the three departments on Mount Fangcun!
When the three Sun Blaze convened for discussion, in the Soul Race ancestral land, Lu Ye rode the core to arrive at a five-color Lotus Land, where he saw figures moving around in the Lotus Land, many of whom seemed familiar.
These figures were the Xianyuan Guards of Xianyuan City from back then.
Lu Ye also saw a white big tiger, lying somewhere on the Lotus Land, fast asleep. Several figures gathered around it with solemn and devout expressions, unknown to what secret technique they were practicing.
A faint resonance of Soul Power emanated from the big tiger and those figures.
The sleeping big tiger seemed to sense something and suddenly opened its amber-colored tiger eyes, looking towards Lu Ye.
Immediately after, it got up quickly and dashed towards Lu Ye with playful excitement, leaping high and transforming into the size of a cat in mid-air.
Lu Ye smiled, caught it in his hand, and began to rub it. Amber squinted its eyes, letting out a contented purring sound.
After playing for a while, Lu Ye finally asked, "Where is Yiyi?"
Just as he finished asking, a portal appeared somewhere on the Lotus Land, and Yiyi’s little head popped out, evidently sensing something.
"Lu Ye!" Yiyi exclaimed joyfully, just like Amber did earlier, she rushed towards Lu Ye, directly colliding with him, wrapped her arms around his neck, and buried her head in his chest.
With one hand holding Amber, Lu Ye wrapped the other around her waist, spinning several times before slowly stopping.
They lingered for a long time; Yiyi didn’t want to let go.
Until the voice of Lih Shang rang out, "Fellow Daoist Lu!"
Lu Ye responded with a smile, "Fellow Daoist Lih Shang, long time no see!"
A moment later, at Yiyi’s residence, Lu Ye wandered around with hands behind his back, examining his surroundings. The Lotus Land is quite a peculiar place, appearing from the outside as an enormous blooming lotus flower, and it’s also the dwelling of the Soul Race.
The Lotus Lands in the Soul Race ancestral land are classified in tiers; the tier depends on the colors. The places where the Sun Blaze strong reside are the seven-color Lotus Lands, whereas the Moon Jade usually stays in the five-color ones.
Back when Lih Shang was just a Constellation, she was eligible to choose a five-color Lotus Land, and that was because she had rendered great service to the Soul Race by bringing back the Sacred Beast.
There is nowhere on the surface of the Lotus Land suitable for living, but as the Soul Race does not have physical bodies, they only need to develop the environment they require within the Lotus Land.
The place where Yiyi resides now is undoubtedly self-developed, and the interior setup is no different from the arrangement inside the Emerald Bamboo Peak Bamboo Pagoda of Righteous Blood Sect.
Yiyi sat beside, hugging the cat-sized Amber, tilted her head looking at him, her little legs swinging, her eyes full of happiness.
Lu Ye sat down next to her, patted her head, "Is cultivation hard for you?"
Yiyi shook her head, "Not hard at all, Amber accompanies me."
Lu Ye glimpsed at Amber, "It only knows how to sleep, how can it accompany you?"
Amber immediately let out a cry, indicating that sleeping itself is cultivation, and it is now much mightier than before!
"Alright, I know you’ve become stronger!" Lu Ye nodded Amber’s little head.
It must be said, throughout these years in the Soul Race, Amber and Yiyi have grown significantly. Under Lu Ye’s perception, both the spirit and the beast weren’t far from becoming Moon Jade.
This is undoubtedly related to the unique cultivation environment of the Soul Race ancestral land. In such a place, the Soul Race cultivators have an inherent advantage; even if not trying too hard, their cultivation can gradually increase.
"Earlier I saw several Soul Race cultivators surrounding Amber. What were they doing?" Lu Ye asked.
Yiyi immediately explained, "Amber recently accepted several attendants. Those Soul Race cultivators you saw are meticulously selected here, with the most outstanding aptitude. They established a commensal relationship with Amber, allowing them to cultivate and grow together, just like me."
Lu Ye finally understood, recalling the resonance waves felt earlier from those Soul Race cultivators and Amber, confirming Yiyi’s explanation.
"Did Amber consent willingly or was it requested by the Soul Race?" Lu Ye inquired.
Yiyi replied, "The Clan Leader personally came to speak, there wasn’t any demand. Amber agreed itself because the more attendants it has, the faster its strength grows, correspondingly, my strength can also grow alongside."
Lu Ye nodded.
Yiyi saw his concern, smiled, and said, "Don’t worry, the Soul Race holds Amber in high regard, and certainly wouldn’t force it to do anything it dislikes."
"That’s good, but keep in mind, if you ever feel unhappy here, tell me anytime, and I’ll take you away." Lu Ye seriously advised.
Back when Yiyi wanted to follow Lih Shang to the Soul Race ancestral land for cultivation, Lu Ye indeed felt a bit reluctant, but children grow up and having their own opinions is not a bad thing. Most importantly, Lu Ye understood he didn’t have much time to accompany Yiyi under his own circumstances.
