Chapter 3: Chapter 3: Sister, don't you want me anymore?

Shen Weiyi lifted her head, following the line of sight.

She saw a man standing behind the bar, very tall, wearing gold-framed glasses, his profile cold and exquisite, radiating a keep-your-distance aura.

The dim light cast on the man's face, hinting at an ascetic allure that unconsciously drew people's attention.

But what attracted Shen Weiyi the most was the teardrop mole at the corner of his eye.

It was said that a mole near the corner of a man's eye symbolizes a thriving love life. In just a few minutes, she witnessed several women approach him only to be rejected.

Shen Weiyi found it quite reasonable.

This man really could be considered top-notch; no wonder Shen Tan, who had twenty years of experience admiring handsome men, had taken notice.

Shen Weiyi glanced a few more times then redirected her gaze, as she was currently indifferent to handsome guys.

The more attractive the dog, the more likely it is to catch someone's eye.

Jiang Zhiyi was a prime example of that.

"Do you want to ask for his WeChat?" Shen Tan tempted her.

"No way!" Shen Weiyi rejected the idea instantly.

Having just climbed out of one pit, was she really so eager to jump into another deep one?

Shen Tan, with an air of someone who's been there, said, "Didn't you say you wanted to start over? The best way to forget a lingering love affair is to start a new one."

Shen Weiyi: "...there's no need to rush it, though."

Shen Tan: "This is about cutting the Gordian knot and leaving no escape for oneself."

It did sound somewhat reasonable.

However, Miss Shen remained unswayed: "I've decided. I want to study hard and reject puppy love!"

Rather than spending time on a dog, it would be better to do more practice problems. At least studies wouldn't let her down.

"Alright then!"

Shen Tan hadn't brought her out with the real intention of making her switch objects of affection so quickly; it was just to let her know that there are plenty of handsome guys in the world, and if one doesn't work out, we can just move on to the next—there's no need to hang onto a single tree or be heartbroken over just one man.

Her phone rang, and Shen Weiyi glanced at it before hanging up.

Shen Tan raised an eyebrow and looked over: "Your little boyfriend?"

"My ex-boyfriend," Shen Weiyi emphasized.

On the other end of the call, Jiang Zhiyi: ...

He frowned at his phone screen, the furrow deep enough to trap a fly.

That damn girl had grown a backbone; after so much time she still hadn't come to coax him and even dared to hang up on his call.

He dialed again; this time, the phone went straight to voicemail.

Jiang Zhiyi was stunned, his frown deepening, the anger that had yet to erupt was swiftly replaced by another emotion.

"Brother Yi, what's up?" Someone came over, patted him on the shoulder, and observed, "You seem distracted—did you have a fight with your girlfriend?"

On hearing this, Jiang Zhiyi grew even more irritable, picked up his jacket from the ground and said, "I'm not playing anymore, you guys have fun."

His friend urged him, "Come on, we hardly ever get a spot on the court."

"I'm not in the mood!" That girl had never ignored his calls before, and ever since he woke up that morning, he had felt an ominous twitch in his eyelids all day long.

Seeing that he indeed wasn't up to it, his friend didn't push any further.

After idling away an afternoon at the bar with Shen Tan, Shen Weiyi returned to her neighborhood as the sun was nearly setting.

The moment she saw the figure sitting on the steps at the entrance, her eyelid couldn't help but twitch; she continued forward without stopping her pace, but as she passed by him, her wrist was grabbed.

Looking up with a pitiable expression, he said, "Sister, don't you want me anymore?"
