Secret Marriage, High-Profile Pampering!-Chapter 723: A Family of Three
Unnaturally withdrawing her gaze, composing herself, Summer Sutton buried her head and continued with her meal.
Adrian Walyon casually helped her with some side dishes, urging her to eat.
Once breakfast finished, it was still not eight o’clock.
Before heading to work, Summer Sutton spent some time playing with Unity in the garden.
Unity was a cat unafraid of the cold, and although the garden was still covered with snow, his plump body ran happily all around.
He even rubbed against the snow wherever it lay, rolling on the ground, over and over, until his already pale body looked as if painted with a new layer of white.
"Baby, don’t get yourself all wet, be careful not to catch a cold!" Summer Sutton walked over and scooped up Unity, using her sleeve to wipe the snow off his fur.
Her actions were so delicate, as if she were tending to a child.
When she looked at Unity, the corners of her lips slightly lifted, and her smile seemed warm enough to melt the surrounding snow.
Ryan Walyon, finishing his breakfast and on his way back to his villa to change for work, passed through the garden and caught sight of her in the distance, his steps involuntarily halted.
His eyes quietly rested on Summer Sutton’s face, staring a bit too long.
Summer Sutton had always loved cats since she was young, and seeing her with the cat now, Ryan Walyon was reminded of her childhood.
Back then, she was the same, holding a cat in the Walyon Family’s garden, sweet and warm, smiling like a little sprite.
Summer Sutton seemed to notice the gaze upon her and turned her head slightly in his direction.
Their eyes met, leaving Summer Sutton stunned for a few seconds.
Ryan Walyon naturally attracted cats, and since Unity came to the Walyon Family, he liked him a lot.
Seeing Ryan, Unity wriggled out of Summer Sutton’s arms and promptly leaped onto him.
Ryan Walyon caught Unity in his arms, his hand resting on the cat’s furry head, sweeping away the snowflakes, "You’ve gotten heavier, little guy."
"Yes, I think so too. When it first arrived, it was so tiny. Now, I can hardly lift it," Summer Sutton stood up, joining him in brushing snow off Unity.
"Are you raising a pig or what?" Ryan Walyon chuckled, poking the cat’s round body with his fingertip.
Upon hearing the word "pig," Unity seemed somewhat displeased, burrowing his furry head into his arms and letting out a couple of grumpy meows.
"Tsk, even expressing opinions now!" Ryan Walyon was amused, his lips curving into a smile.
"This little guy is smart, can understand quite a lot now," Summer Sutton smoothed Unity’s fur, her face brimming with pride when speaking about him.
The two of them stood a little too close, perhaps without Summer Sutton even realizing.
When Ryan Walyon lifted his face, he could clearly see her eyelashes trembling.
Staring quietly at her fan-like long lashes fluttering, Ryan Walyon momentarily lost himself.
Standing together like this, Ryan Walyon holding Unity, with Summer Sutton beside him, the scene looked incredibly warm, like that of a little family of three.
Not far away, Adrian Walyon happened to walk out from the hall, and upon seeing this scene, his face instantly darkened.
"Mrs. Walyon!" Adrian Walyon called Summer Sutton with a cold voice.
His volume was loud enough to be heard from afar outside the garden.
Summer Sutton turned her head, her gaze meeting his, and froze for a few seconds.
