Chapter 729: Chapter 729: Abdominal Pain

Adrian Walyon seemed busy; the phone rang several times before he answered.

The two usually used video for their calls, and after connecting, Summer Sutton glanced at his surroundings, "Are you at the hotel?"

"Yeah." Adrian Walyon looked at her up and down through the video, a slight smile playing at his lips, "Not asleep yet?" 𝑓𝑟ℯ𝘦𝓌𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝑐ℴ𝓂

Their conversation was just typical husband and wife chatter, and Adrian’s questions were casual.

What he didn’t expect was for Summer Sutton to say, "Adrian, I miss you and can’t sleep much."

In the two years they’ve been married, she rarely expressed her emotions so directly.

Adrian Walyon was stunned for a few seconds, his gaze deepening as he looked at her.

"What did you just say?" He asked, taking a deep breath.

Summer Sutton lifted her face, looked at him through the screen, and repeated what she’d said, "I said, I can’t sleep today, I’ve been thinking about you."

"Repeat what you just said again." Adrian Walyon looked at her intently and requested.

"I miss you." Summer Sutton obediently repeated what she’d just said.

It wasn’t the first time Adrian Walyon had left everything and flown thousands of miles to her side in the middle of the night because of a word from her.

Summer Sutton feared he would once again come back overnight, despite the inconvenience, and hurriedly cautioned, "You must have a lot going on, right? Don’t worry about me; you’ll be back soon anyway, so finish your work and come back, it won’t take long."

Adrian Walyon actually planned to leave the hotel immediately and rush back to Northtown; he had even picked up his coat.

Seeing her speak so urgently, he paused his actions.

"Just focus on your work, don’t worry about me, I’m getting ready to sleep too." Summer Sutton hung up the phone immediately, worrying he couldn’t resist coming back.

With Adrian Walyon managing two companies, he had heaps of responsibilities, and frequent business trips were common; Summer Sutton didn’t want to delay his work because of her.

It was just past ten, still quite early, but Summer Sutton couldn’t sleep.

Noticing the light still on, Diana Wood had someone send over some nourishing soup at half-past ten.

Nowadays, she was preparing nourishing soup for Summer Sutton every morning and evening, arranging all sorts of nutritious items, worrying that if Summer missed a bit, it might affect her grandson’s development.

After drinking the soup, Summer Sutton returned to her room and laid on the bed, trying to fall asleep.

She wasn’t sure why, but as soon as she got into bed, her stomach felt slightly uncomfortable.

Not being sleepy initially, the discomfort in her stomach made it even harder to sleep.

Lying alone in bed, staring at the ceiling, Summer Sutton wondered if her stomach would feel better in a bit.

However, after about half an hour, the pain in her stomach hadn’t lessened but had worsened.

It felt like something sharp was stabbing inside her, so painful that her face turned pale.

Summer Sutton’s forehead was cold and sweaty from the pain.

She tried to reach for her phone to call someone at home, but after feeling around the bed several times, she couldn’t find it.

By eleven o’clock, Summer Sutton’s vision was starting to blur, and she felt like she was about to pass out from the pain.

With blurry eyes, she looked at the phone on the sofa chair, trying to walk over to get it, but as soon as she moved, she collapsed to the floor.

Summer Sutton sat by the bed, sweat dripping down her body, soaking her clothes.
