Secret Marriage, High-Profile Pampering!-Chapter 746: The Walyon Family’s Big-Tongued Poison
Lorraine Hughes glanced over at her, and the curve of her lips rose higher.
Her gaze met Summer Sutton’s briefly, then passed over her to look at Adrian Walyon beside her.
Adrian Walyon hadn’t glanced at her since she appeared, continuously gathering food.
He piled his own plate full, then added some more to Summer Sutton’s plate.
With both plates full, he found a corner and sat down.
"Come here!" After sitting, he beckoned to Summer Sutton with his finger.
Summer snapped out of her daze, walked over to him, and as soon as she got close, Adrian Walyon, unconcerned about the crowd present, pulled her onto his lap and began feeding her bites of meat.
"This is delicious, eat more. The food here is pretty good."
Summer took the meat into her mouth, slowly chewing, while her gaze remained fixed on Lorraine Hughes’s direction.
She was merely curious why Diana Wood invited Lorraine Hughes to such an occasion tonight.
It made sense that Mother Hughes called her over, but inviting someone whom her son had previously courted? Weren’t they worried about family gossip?
Diana Wood had always liked Lorraine Hughes and warmly welcomed her upon her arrival.
"Lauren, you look absolutely stunning tonight! I’ve rarely seen someone this remarkably attractive." Diana Wood admired her over and over, growing more satisfied with each look.
Adrian Walyon was seated not far from Diana Wood, and he could clearly hear her words.
His lips curled into a mocking grin, and without regard for causing anyone discomfort, Adrian lazily mocked, "That’s because Madam Walyon has a narrow view and hasn’t seen many people."
When he wanted to insult someone, he never spared their dignity.
He spoke his mind, regardless of whether the other party was male or female, young or old.
Diana Wood’s face darkened, and she gritted her teeth, nearly grabbing the apple beside her to throw at him.
You brat!
Lorraine Hughes, however, wasn’t much affected by Adrian Walyon’s words and even smiled slightly.
"Young Master Walyon is right. There are plenty of beautiful people in the world, Auntie, you’re overpraising me."
"Lauren knows the bigger picture and doesn’t stoop to that brat’s level. Heh." Pleased with her response, Diana Wood couldn’t help but study her again and again, "Look at that face, those eyes, that little mouth – absolutely flawless. It’s truly a man’s poor judgment if he doesn’t notice such features."
She was subtly criticizing Adrian Walyon for not being interested in Lorraine Hughes.
Adrian Walyon paused his eating, didn’t even look at the two of them, and coldly remarked, "That’s Madam Walyon’s own aesthetic!"
Thinking someone is beautiful, attractive, or outstanding is entirely her own business.
Why should he care?
Beauty is subjective, after all.
Everyone has their own perspectives, which is perfectly normal.
Such things are best kept to oneself rather than spoken aloud in front of those involved, isn’t that purely to embarrass them?
Diana Wood gritted her teeth again. If it weren’t for the fact that Adrian Walyon was now an adult, she might have rushed over in anger to hit him.
This brat, does he have to tear down her steps like this?
Sophie Walyon, dressed in a small suit, walked down from upstairs, glanced lightly at Lorraine Hughes, and scoffed, "I think my sister-in-law is beautiful and the kind who doesn’t need makeup yet still draws all eyes, unlike some people who pile on the powder."
His snark was just like Adrian’s, equally sharp and venomous.
He was deriding Lorraine Hughes for wearing too much makeup, unlike Summer Sutton’s natural beauty!
