Secret Marriage, High-Profile Pampering!-Chapter 759: With me here, I won’t let anything happen to you or the child.
Thinking that Adrian Walyon changed his mind and wanted to stay on the mountain overnight, Lorraine Hughes was about to walk over when Adrian’s anxious voice suddenly came through, "Help!"
He was shouting at the hotel staff.
At this time, with such heavy rain and people arriving at the hotel in the middle of the night, the staff hadn’t anticipated it.
Stunned for a few seconds by his shouting, the staff quickly grabbed an umbrella and went outside.
The staff thought Adrian called him over to give him an umbrella, but unexpectedly, Adrian carried a woman out of the car.
Summer Sutton was still drowsy, her complexion pale like death.
The staff was frightened, quickly holding the umbrella over Summer’s head, helping Adrian bring Summer into the hotel.
"What happened?" asked the staff as they walked.
The other night shift staff at the hotel hurried over.
"Call the hotel’s medical team!" Adrian shouted at the group.
He shouted with urgency. The rain was so heavy that even though Summer had an umbrella over her head, she still got a bit wet.
Adrian kept shielding her from the rain, without bothering to cover himself, bending over to continuously protect her.
Being drenched all over seemed unnoticed by him; his attention was entirely on the woman in his arms.
"Sir, follow us this way!" The staff led him quickly in a direction within the hotel.
Lorraine’s gaze followed his direction, quietly watching Adrian running in the rain with Summer in his arms, her eyes frozen for a moment.
She didn’t know what was happening now.
She still didn’t know why Summer Sutton appeared in a place like this in the middle of the night.
What’s wrong with her now?
The hotel staff quickly led Adrian to the guest room area, opened a room for him, and then called the resort’s doctor on the phone.
The doctors in a place like a resort have medical skills, but they are called to solve basic health issues for the guests.
Summer Sutton is pregnant. The issues she’s encountering would be better understood by an obstetrician. When the doctor arrived, they only did some basic examinations on her.
They prescribed some medication to protect the pregnancy for Summer to take, but due to the simple medical facilities on the mountain, the doctor couldn’t do much more.
The rain outside was still pattering down. After taking the medication, Summer seemed not to improve much, her face still frighteningly pale.
Leaning against Adrian, she didn’t even lift her eyelids once.
Adrian’s heart was anxious as if it were burning in a fire. For as long as she had slept, he had been tense.
Unable to wait any longer, he even considered calling his men to use a plane to come up the mountain to pick them up.
The resort is on the mountaintop, it’s large, and fortunately, there’s a vacant lot in front of the hotel where a plane could land.
However, the call was made, but he was told that the current weather conditions were too severe for the plane to operate.
Adrian was anxious and hadn’t considered this problem at all.
The plane couldn’t come up, and the cars couldn’t go down. Helpless, Adrian could only stay at the resort with Summer Sutton and wait.
Summer’s hands were extremely cold, her breathing so shallow it was almost inaudible.
Afraid that something would happen to the baby in her belly, Adrian gently held her hand and began to encourage her, "Summer, hang in there tonight. You and the baby will be fine. Hold on a little longer. Dawn will come soon, and once the mountain road clears, we can go down."
"I’m here. I won’t let anything happen to you and the baby. Trust me."
