Chapter 762: Chapter 762: Sparring with Lorraine Hughes

Lorraine Hughes seemed surprised to see her at the door. She stared at Summer Sutton, dumbfounded for a few seconds.

Summer’s lips were still slightly upturned. Her tone carried no hint of anger, nor did her gaze show any targeting.

"I’m also thinking about Miss Hughes. After all, Miss Hughes is a well-known top star. Early in the morning, appearing outside a married woman’s door... although I know there’s nothing between Miss Hughes and my husband, if such an incident makes the news, today’s netizens love to interpret things out of context and embellish stories. Who knows what the situation would be once it’s spread?"

Her words bore no trace of aggression.

Yet every sentence hit the nail on the head.

Isn’t a celebrity’s most important asset their persona?

If any actress is rumored to have relations with a married man, her image would plummet, and she wouldn’t be able to make it in the entertainment industry! 𝚏𝕣𝐞𝗲𝐰𝕖𝐛𝐧𝕠𝕧𝚎𝚕.𝐜𝚘𝗺

Lorraine suddenly felt that the woman before her was a smiling tiger!

She doesn’t need to tear faces or escalate, just smiles and wins easily.

"I just came to deliver documents, fearing Young Master Walyon might need them urgently." Lorraine’s face flushed slightly with embarrassment as she handed the documents to Summer and turned to leave.

Summer closed the door behind her, went back inside, handed the documents over to Adrian, and then went to the bathroom for a quick freshen-up before heading out of the room.

Adrian followed her out and found her in the dining area.

Considering the severe situation she was in last night, it’s surprising that the first thing on her mind when she woke up was eating.

This made Adrian’s lips twitch slightly.

But now, as a pregnant woman, she was right to always think about not letting the baby in her belly go hungry.

Adrian went in, stood beside her, and when Summer reached for the bread with tongs, he added a slice to her plate.

Summer ignored him, pretending he wasn’t there. After helping herself to bread, she turned to pick other foods.

She gathered a variety of items — yogurt, fruits, porridge, a mix of Western and Chinese dishes.

With the tray piled high, Adrian saw her struggling to balance it and went over to take the tray from her hands.

Summer still didn’t acknowledge him, moving ahead to select a table where she sat down.

Adrian followed her, and after sitting beside her, pushed an egg towards her.

Summer lowered her face slightly and ate her meal quietly without saying a word.

"Still mad? I honestly didn’t know she’d come over last night." Adrian nudged her with his elbow.

Summer sipped her porridge in tiny sips.

"If I had known she’d come, I wouldn’t have agreed to come here to discuss matters in the first place." Adrian continued explaining.

Each time he explained, seeing no reaction from Summer, he nudged her with his elbow.

As Summer was drinking porridge, his nudges caused her to spill it several times.

Summer turned her head and glared at him.

Adrian wiped the table for her and handed her a glass of milk with a flattery smile, "Porridge lacks nutrients, drink more milk."

Summer took it, about to drink, when Lorraine and Father Hughes unexpectedly walked in through the entrance of the restaurant.

"Young Master Walyon!" Father Hughes called out from afar upon seeing Adrian.

Upon entering the restaurant, he grabbed Lorraine, intending to sit down. Adrian coolly stated, "Sorry, Mr. Hughes. I dislike being disturbed when dining with my wife."

His rejection was quite blunt.

Even in front of people, he wasn’t afraid to make them feel awkward.

Father Hughes froze for a moment, his face slightly falling.
