Secret Marriage, High-Profile Pampering!-Chapter 809: A Pampered Child Without Boundaries
Since Summer Sutton had the baby, it seemed that was the only thing Adrian cared about.
Every time the Walyon Family held a family meeting, once business was done, the Old Master would start talking, the conversation revolving entirely around Adrian and his spouse’s child.
In subsequent meetings, he chatted on about many things, like asking Diana Wood to arrange Summer’s three meals and to remember to have the family Doctor occasionally check up on her.
Bryce Walyon listened beside them, his head aching.
Is Adrian’s child made of gold?
Is it worth being so constantly on their minds, letting so many people sit and listen to the old man’s incessant chatter?
His fingers tightened around the teacup in his hand, and Bryce gritted his teeth again and again.
...
When they walked out of the meeting room, it was already past ten.
Bryce was the first to leave the room, followed closely by Summer.
As they reached the living room, Bryce’s gaze caught Summer’s belly in the corner of his eye.
Summer was momentarily stunned by his gaze.
Sensitively, she instinctively raised her hand to protect her belly.
That action made Bryce smile, "Second Uncle is just concerned about you."
"Really?" Summer didn’t quite understand what kind of person he was, not close to him, but didn’t show much coldness either.
"Second Uncle has a good heart." She curled her lips slightly, then casually retreated back to Adrian’s side, her arm affectionately slipping through his elbow, "Honey, I still want to stay at Morning Garden."
"Alright." Adrian covered her hand with his, didn’t even stay for lunch at the Walyon Family, and together they walked out of the Walyon Family’s mansion.
Bryce silently watched the scene from behind, his gaze deepening...
...
It was still early, after returning home, Summer didn’t have work-related things to do, so she picked up her needle and continued knitting the baby’s clothes.
She had hardly done such things before, her skills poor, but she still wanted to knit by herself.
The baby’s little scarf, clothes, shoes, she wanted to make everything herself.
To Summer Sutton, making them by hand carried much more meaning than buying them.
Adrian was upstairs arranging the room.
The Walyon Family mansion had a nursery room meticulously arranged by him, but Morning Garden and Sutton Gardens didn’t.
For both Adrian and Summer, only Morning Garden and Sutton Gardens truly felt like home, the Walyon Family didn’t count.
Their real home must have a prepared nursery room.
Summer simply watched him as he ran up and down, even driving out to buy God knows what, busy for an entire day, by evening, Summer tiptoed into the nursery for a look.
The room Adrian arranged was beautiful, choosing the nursery next to theirs, the room had a handmade crib, filled with stuffed animals that the baby would like, the room was adorned with various star-shaped lights, and the balcony boasted a vibrant wall of Julia Owens flowers.
And that was all done in just one day, even finishing the Julia Owens flower wall, which Summer hadn’t imagined.
In the room, the lighting was hazy, the night wind softly wafting in the fragrance of flowers, the not-so-big nursery was transformed through his hands into a beautiful world like out of a fairy tale.
Summer stood in the room, quietly gazing at the scenes around her, her lips involuntarily curling into a gentle smile.
When it came to fatherhood, Adrian was undoubtedly perfect.
In the future, if the two really had a daughter, he should spoil the baby indiscriminately, right?
