Chapter 832: Chapter 832: The Face Beneath the Mask

So much so that Summer Sutton didn’t see the face of the person inside the car clearly.

Standing rigidly in place, Summer Sutton stared lost in thought at the direction the sports car had departed, paused for a few seconds, opened the car door, and got in. She ordered Marshall Quinn in the driver’s seat, "Marshall, did you see that car earlier? Let’s chase after it!"

"Who’s inside?" Marshall asked out of curiosity.

Summer Sutton didn’t answer, her gaze searching the dark night, only urging him to drive.

Marshall, helpless, asked no more questions, turned the car around, and chased in the direction where the other car had disappeared.

"A black sports car. Did you see it?" Summer Sutton kept reminding him from beside.

Marshall hadn’t seen the car Summer Sutton had just referred to or knew what the car looked like.

Summer Sutton seemed anxious, rubbing her hands together impatiently, craning her neck to keep looking forward.

However, it was already late at night; not to mention that the car had driven far, even if it were a few meters away, it wouldn’t be easy to see.

Marshall drove along the straight road, steadily increasing speed to the end of the road, seeing no black sports car, he turned his head to look at Summer Sutton, "Miss Sutton, where to next?"

Summer Sutton looked at the roads surrounding her, unable to figure it out.

She didn’t know which direction the car she saw headed, glanced at the road to the left, and after deliberating, told him to casually look around nearby.

Marshall followed her orders and continued driving.

Summer Sutton sat in the car, her gaze resting outside the window, quietly watching the scenery sliding past, her mood inexplicably chaotic.

The only person she knew who would wear a silver mask was Adrian.

But, the person she saw tonight didn’t feel like Adrian.

Tonight, at the banquet, she constantly felt a gaze upon her; was it from him?

If it were Adrian, discovering her presence, he wouldn’t just stare from afar.

The more Summer Sutton thought about it, the more her mind became tangled—speculations about the identity of the other person swirled, but none were conclusive.

She couldn’t imagine who would secretly watch her yet never greet her openly.

Inexplicably, Summer Sutton couldn’t suppress the urge to see the face hidden beneath that mask...

Marshall drove far, crossing one road after another, and each time they saw a black sports car, he would inquire, "Is it this one?"

"How about this one?"

Summer Sutton shook her head.

Marshall, helpless, could only keep driving.

They drove aimlessly for over an hour after leaving the hotel where the banquet was held, yielding no results, until Summer Sutton finally asked Marshall to drive her home.

Marshall drove to Morning Garden and only left after watching her go inside.

It was already near midnight by then. 𝓯𝙧𝙚𝒆𝙬𝙚𝒃𝙣𝙤𝒗𝓮𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢

She opened the door to Morning Garden and walked in; the vast villa was shrouded in darkness, with not a single light on.

As Summer Sutton’s footsteps sounded, Unity dashed out from inside, jumped into her arms, and affectionately nuzzled its head against her.

"Good boy!" Summer Sutton picked it up, switched on the garden and living room lights, and took it upstairs.

Morning Garden was a standard standalone villa, with the garden and main house perfectly sized.

Previously, when Adrian Walyon was around, Summer Sutton never felt the house was large, but with him gone, the whole home felt considerably empty.
