Chapter 651: Extra 27 Just Short of Writing a Self-Criticism for Her

An Junxi put the interview with You Ran far away and, under her husband’s watchful gaze, said weakly, "Xing Wan gave this to me."

Gu Yikun picked up the interview, crumpled it into a ball, and threw it into the trash can. He grabbed her and placed her on the table. An Junxi’s leg hit the edge of the table, "It hurts!"

She covered her thigh, her eyes filled with tears.

Gu Yikun moved her hand away; her thigh had a red mark.

He felt a bit guilty and found some ointment to apply to her.

An Junxi wouldn’t let him touch her, "I’ll sleep in the next room, don’t bother me!"

Gu Yikun bent down to look her in the eye, "Xi Xi, don’t be mad at me."

"Who’s mad at you? Why are you yelling at me? Are you trying to abuse me? Over such a small thing? Are you even a man, being so petty? What do you take me for?"

His sudden roughness made An Junxi feel extremely wronged. What had she done wrong to deserve his anger? Did she cheat on him?

Gu Yikun insisted on applying the ointment for her. An Junxi wasn’t as strong as he was, so she gave up resisting and resorted to emotionally shutting him out, refusing to look at him.

After applying the ointment, Gu Yikun picked her up and placed her on the bed. An Junxi wrapped herself in the blanket and turned her back to him.

Gu Yikun walked out to the balcony to cool off; he needed to calm down.

He had lost his temper just now and used brute force on her, which was his fault.

He felt like such a failure; just a single interview with that man had made him lose his cool.

Gu Yikun wanted to smoke but, seeing An Junxi lying in the room, he pulled his hand back. She didn’t like the smell of cigarettes.

Gu Yikun stood outside for a long time before opening the sliding door and coming back inside. She was lying on the bed with her head under the blanket, silent and still.

He lay down beside her and reached out to pull down her blanket. An Junxi held on to the blanket tightly, but Gu Yikun pulled her into his arms, feeling the cold tears on her face.

Gu Yikun’s heart ached as he held her, "You’re crying?"

An Junxi kicked him, "Go away!"

Gu Yikun held her leg down, "Don’t make a scene."

An Junxi hit his chest, "I’m making a scene? And you think you’re in the right!"

Her eyes were filled with grievance, and there was even a hint of disgust towards him, "Gu Yikun, if you’re going to be paranoid all the time, we might as well get a divorce! So you don’t have to be suspicious of everyone!"

"Divorce? Don’t even think about it!"

He lowered his head and kissed her lips. An Junxi turned her head away, but Gu Yikun pinned her down. He was tall and strong, and An Junxi, like a kitten in his arms, was no match for him.

An Junxi started crying, "Gu Yikun, you’re bullying me!"

Gu Yikun was at a loss, not daring to move her anymore. He didn’t know whether to hold her or let go.

An Junxi cried louder, "You’re a bastard! How many years have I been married to you, and you still don’t trust me!"

Gu Yikun tried to comfort her and admitted his mistake, "It’s my fault. I’m the one to blame. You can hit me or scold me, but please stop crying, okay?"

An Junxi cried until his pajamas were soaked. Gu Yikun’s heart ached terribly, "Xi Xi, I admit it’s my fault. I’m petty and overly sensitive. I was jealous of You Ran and acted badly towards you. I’m sorry."

He massaged the bruised area on her thigh with one hand while patting her back with the other, sincerely admitting his mistake, almost willing to write a self-criticism letter to her.

An Junxi was exhausted from crying. She closed her eyes, "Get out, I want to sleep by myself."

Gu Yikun wouldn’t leave, "Xi Xi, with mom, dad, and the kids here, it wouldn’t be good for you to kick me out, right?"

An Junxi pushed him, "Just don’t touch me!"

Gu Yikun let go of her, got out of bed, and opened the wardrobe to look for clothes.

An Junxi felt a chill as if he was really leaving?

Gu Yikun just changed into another set of pajamas and came back. How could this little woman have so many tears?

He shamelessly clung to her, "Honey, I’ll sleep wherever you are."

His warmth spread to her. An Junxi’s conflicted heart began to settle. She turned over, "I don’t want to see you."
