Chapter 253: Chapter 253

- KILLIAN -

“Did you have to be so cold?” Liam’s words jolt me out of my thoughts as I walk with him to our cars.

I shrug, not answering him and barely having the energy to indulge in this conversation. I did it for her own good. I let out a sigh.

“Really, Killian, that’s messed up shit right here.” He says, an attempt to push me into answering him. Knowing my brother, he won’t stop until he has frustrated every single truth out of me so why give him that benefit when I can just tell him free of charge of my mental health?

I turn my head slightly to the side to look at Liam gawking at me. He looks composed yet thirsty at the same time. There’s that look of hunger, or want in his eyes that’s crazily fitting to his personality.

“I did it for her own good.” I say to him, keeping my tone low.

“That barely seemed good for her, brother.” He utters, a counter response.

Here goes nothing. I wished I didn’t have to let him know, I would’ve dealt with the problem myself without alerting anyone.

“Someone is stalking us. Prying. Keeping a good eye on us.” I look back ahead, making my way forward. We just arrived at the car park. “I thought it was just a coincidence till I noticed it follow us back there.” I don’t consider certain beings befitting for a pronoun. And that stalker might as well be an ‘it’ once I find it. Because then, it’ll be lifeless.

Liam raises both his hands up in the air then rests them at the back of his head, intertwining his fingers behind his head. He seems amused. “Seems like we’ve got a tail on our necks, who could it be? Dear old uncle’s friend?” A smirk curls at the plains of his lips as he let his tongue out, licking his lips.

I’m not sure if the spy was watching us or Hazel. That’s what I needed to find out before making any judgement. That’s why I kept myself distant from her, just in case this is a ploy to find out who I’m entangled with. The last thing I need is to keep her in more harm’s way.

“I’ll be right back.” Liam says the moment we get to our vehicles which are parked side by side. “Wait for me.” He murmurs.

I notice the dagger dangling in his fingers, casually pointing out, in his grip. 𝑓𝘳𝘦𝑒𝑤𝑒𝘣𝘯ℴ𝘷𝘦𝓁.𝑐𝑜𝑚

“Liam, no blood spilling.” I warn, my eyes dark with caution. I’m afraid of the person it may be, not what will become of my brother. If anything, the person should be afraid for itself as well.

Liam winks at me, hiding the knife in his sleeve. “I make no promises.” He crosses his fingers in front of his face, countering his statement. I let out a sigh, now resting my back on my car. I guess I have to wait here and see what my brother will be up to.
