President Fu had examined the financial annual summary of ST before his arrival, so seeing that Su Wanxin was ignoring him, he took the initiative to speak and catch her attention.

"Distorting balance sheet indicators to hide operational declines, exaggerating performance through misleading metrics.

I heard that ST recently has been providing their products to customers first, then buying them back at high prices to create the illusion of revenue growth. It’s a losing deal made just for the sake of appearances. President Su, you’ve gotten everyone scared."

After hearing his words, Su Wanxin’s red lips pursed slightly as she looked up at him.

Then she glanced at the door and spat out two words: "Get out."

"I’ve come to bring a gift."

"Bribery is refused."

"See what the gift is before you refuse. There’s still time to reject it."

President Fu got up and walked towards her, handing his phone to her.

Su Wanxin, puzzled, clicked on it to find a video. After watching it with furrowed brows, she concluded: "Disgusting."

"It is disgusting." President Fu snickered. "This getting out would be enough to have ST invited for a tea by the higher-ups."

President Fu had been feeling rather stifled these past two days. Since Su Wanxin hadn’t allowed him to get involved in the matter with Shen Xiaochen hiring online mercenaries, he’d been deprived of the chance to earn brownie points and gain favor.

He waited and expected ST to finally release its fiscal report; everyone outside had their eyes on this data now, all while keeping watch on the Su Family’s movements.

"What are President Su’s instructions?" President Fu asked in a light, teasing tone. "I will coordinate with your schedule."

Su Wanxin was thinking of quickly getting rid of him and so she replied noncommittally, "Go ahead, I’ll try my best to finish within a week."

"That committed?"

"It might be even quicker if you weren’t here. So, would President Fu kindly do me a favor and leave soon?"

Su Wanxin’s every word was laced with disdain, making President Fu feel like an unreasonably nagging child, even worse than Yangyang.

He looked down, meeting Su Wanxin’s gaze, about to say something, when there was a knock at the door.

"President Su, President Chen from Haizi Securities is already in the meeting room."

Chen Lei’s voice came through, muffled and quietly, knowing that President Fu was inside.

President Fu raised an eyebrow, looking displeased. He tightened his tie around his neck, stood up straight, and walked toward the door.

"I’ll help you attend the meeting, take your time with your work."

President Fu exited the office, the smile in his eyes vanishing, the lazy and relaxed air about him totally withdrawn, replaced by his usual sharp and cutting demeanor.

Switching modes effortlessly, he regarded Chen Lei indifferently, inquired about Haizi’s purpose for coming, and then headed to the meeting room.

Making small talk to warm up with the people there, while flipping through documents on the table, within just a few minutes, he was fully engaged, sharply pointing out the problems in their arguments, leaving Chen Lei in awe.

After resolving the matters at hand, President Fu made a phone call to arrange for the video on hand to be spread.

Chen Lei thought he would go back to Su Wanxin’s office, but unexpectedly, he saw President Fu walking towards his own office instead.

Su Wanxin didn’t like her work being interrupted, not even by President Fu. Therefore, President Fu decided to wait at Chen Lei’s place, wanting to leave work together and go home with her.

He was scheduled for a business trip the next day and expected to be away for about ten days to half a month. Even speeding up the process, it would take a week at least.

President Fu sat on the sofa, in a relaxed pose, idly scrolling through his phone.

Chen Lei lingered nearby, holding back his words, then spoke slowly, "President Fu, about those recent online rumors, are you aware?"

"Are you referring to your President Su being criticized, or my son being criticized, or perhaps, to that online spread list of Su Wanxin’s boyfriends that doesn’t include my name?"
