Shattered by Fate, Restored by Truth-Chapter 319: Touch my people and you die, try it if you don’t believe me.
Chapter 319: Chapter 319: Touch my people and you die, try it if you don’t believe me.
"I can’t go back, I can never go back." Su Wanxin shook her head in despair. "There’s no way to go back."
"Wanwan, do you trust me?"
She nodded hazily, "You’re the greatest."
Fu Shihan chuckled softly as he wiped her tears. "Then be good, if you can’t, I’ll think of something for you."
He held her as they sat on the stairs until she fell asleep in his arms, crying.
In her sleep, her hand tightly clutched the hem of his shirt, as if grasping onto a lifeline for survival.
Fu Shihan looked down at her pitiful, tear-streaked face, kissed the corner of her mouth tenderly, then stood up with her in his arms and walked out.
Mu Suyu was standing on the other side of the corridor, eating a sandwich she bought from the vending machine, when Fu Shihan came by.
"Have you been drinking?" Fu Shihan glanced down at her and asked softly. Seeing Mu Suyu shake her head, he carried Su Wanxin out to the car and placed her in the back seat.
Mu Suyu finished her last bite of the sandwich, frowned as she heard him say, "Let me know when you get home, and don’t talk to her about tonight’s events," and looked unhappily toward the entrance of the bar.
"My brother is still inside."
"He won’t die, don’t worry," Fu Shihan closed the car door. "But if he dares to leave a hickey on Su Wanxin’s neck like you did, it might be a different story."
"...You wouldn’t dare."
"If he dares, so do I. Touch my girl and die, don’t believe me? Try it."
After saying that, he headed toward the bar. Mu Suyu stomped her foot in frustration, puzzled by how he had discerned that the mark on Su Wanxin’s neck was made by her.
Su Wanxin was uncomfortable lying in the back seat, so Mu Suyu glanced at her and quickly drove home.
Fu Shihan returned to the bar, went upstairs to retrieve his phone, and was about to leave. Before departing, he gave Jiang Cheng a look and coldly instructed, "All the bills here today, on the house."
Jiang Cheng was momentarily taken aback and nodded. But he couldn’t help asking, "Brother Han, why?"
"Not in a good mood," Fu Shihan glanced at him, making up a reason: "Just blowing off some money."
Jiang Cheng: "???"
Alright... the whims of the wealthy, beyond the understanding of us common folk.
Fu Shihan smiled at his bewildered expression.
There was no real reason, other than not wanting other men to invite Su Wanxin out for drinks. So today, this round was on him.
He drove home and soon received a message from Mu Suyu saying she had safely arrived home. After deleting the message, he called Lin Rui, ordering him to roll up and see him within half an hour.
Lin Rui, sensing the danger in his words, came to him trembling and nervously greeted "Brother Han" as he saw the man sitting casually on the sofa, exuding a carefree air.
"What did I tell you when I left?" Fu Shihan looked at him and asked calmly. Lin Rui’s heart sank, instantly understanding why he had been summoned.
"You instructed to protect Wan God well and to report any disturbance to you."
"And what happened?"
Fu Shihan pursued with a cold voice, sending chills down Lin Rui’s spine, fearing this very tone.
"How have you reported to me these past few days?"
"Brother Han, listen to my explanation," Lin Rui stepped back twice, his desire to survive intensified. "I’ve really been keeping an eye on Sister Wan, everything has been normal."
"Normal to the point she moved out of home and doesn’t plan to see me anymore?"
"This, this... I saw she had already moved, and I didn’t dare to stop her. You would have been worried if you knew while abroad, so I thought I’d wait until you came back to tell you. Plus, I didn’t quite understand why she moved out..."
