Chapter 52: Austonia Academy - Part 2!
One Week Later!
For the entire last week, Damon had spent his time doing some last minute training and giving tasks related to FURIA. Although Damon could certainly call and message his subordinates during his time at Austonia Academy, it would not be as effective as an in-person discussion.
Now, one week had passed and Damon had suitably given enough instructions that he was confident his subordinates would be able to complete without bothering him too much.
Now Damon was located within a luxurious vehicle prepared for him by his mother Sapphire, which was currently driving him towards Austonia Academy. He was seated in the backseat alongside Athena, his personal assistant at FURIA, who was currently informing him on the results of their investigation.
"Master, here’s a detailed breakdown of all of the influential students who will be attending the Academy in your year-group." Athena said, handing Damon a booklet detailing a list of the various students and their influence.
- Klaus Pendragon: Crown Prince of the Eternal Human Empire
- Feyola Evergreen: Princess and Future Elven Saintess
- Kai Spark: Holy Son of the Church Of Light
- Morgana: Daughter of the Dragon Queen
- Artemis: Future Divine Huntress of the DemiHumans.
- Antares Flandre: Strongest Son of the Dragons
- Sonna Rivelea: Daughter of the Divine Demon Emperor
These were just some of the students that were located within Damon’s class. Of course, that class would not remain the same. After the Rank Examination 2 weeks, the classes will be reshuffled to put the strongest together and the weakest together. However, judging from Damon’s informants, he was confident all of them would remain in Class X, the class for the strongest students of a generation.
Of course there were also other students in the Upper Classes whom also had high status and strength whom Damon would have to look out for, but he mostly paid attention to those whom he would be presumably sharing a classroom with.
"How about Feyola, is she willing to break off the engagement?" Damon asked. In truth, he didn’t care much about Feyola and didn’t mind having a relationship, but he couldn’t trust her after the childish stunt she pulled back then, and ever since then has been watching to break off the engagement.
"We haven’t gotten any information as to whether she’s willing to sustain the engagement or keep it." Athena responded tepidly.
"Hmm you can stop your investigation. I’ll figure it out myself at the Academy." Damon said in an annoyed tone, and Athena simply nodded her head and continued on her explanation about the Academy.
Time passed quickly and soon the vehicle had arrived in Austonia City, which housed the Academy. Damon could see thousands of vehicles driving towards the Academy. Some presumably housing students returning for their next year, and some obviously housing the new students whom had either passed the entrance examination, or got in using their influential families such as himself.
Soon, Damon’s vehicle had arrived at Austonia Academy, and his eyes shifted to the Campus. It was humungous, surrounded by huge protective walls, and in the middle housed a enormous castle which housed the teaching and administration buildings.
There were dozens of buildings on the side of the Castle, housing regions such as Dormitories, training rooms, recreational facilities and more.
After arriving at the Academy, Damon slowly exited the vehicle, and then suddenly, a vast and terrifying aura tyrannically spread across the surrounding area. All of a sudden, various students near Damon began looking at him, their legs wobbling as they felt the staunch aura of death.
Everyone nearby felt fear. It was a different kind of fear than what they usually felt facing an opponent much stronger than them or when an unknown variable appears. This fear was Primal, entrenched deep into their bones and soul, a terrifying level of fear that seemed to whisper into their ears that no matter what, Damon could crush them with just a glance.
Everywhere Damon passed, he spotted people slowly bowed their heads and closed their eyes until he passed, not wanting to be the odd one out. As Damon walked, he slowly retracted his aura until he arrived in the Academy Hall, where the Entrance Ceremony will take place.
It was a large hall-type room; the ceiling was high and the floor here was made up of beautiful crystal tiles. Damon entered the room, various eyes immediately locking onto his body due to his incredible looks and obvious strength.
Damon’s eyes swept across the room until they arrived at the First-Year section, where he moved and slowly took a seat, waiting for more students to pile in and the ceremony to starts.
Seconds turned to minutes and in a flash, 20 minutes had passed. Every single student had finally arrived, all seated and awaiting the Ceremony to begin. Damon could tell that many of his classmates were curiously staring at him, yet just ignored them, not thinking it would be of any use to engage in conversation here.
Suddenly, the door to the Academy Hall closed and locked itself, and all of the lights turned off except the stage lights. Then, a beautiful lady walked onto the stage and began her speech.
"Hello Students, I am Blaze Flandre, Principal of Austonia Academy!" Blaze’s voice ripped through the entire Hall, booming with unmatched power and ferocity. Her hair blew in the breeze like a rampaging flame.
"Wow! It’s the Flame Empress!"
" I finally get to see the Flame Empress in real life."
"It’s said her Flames can annihilate even Arch-Mages instantly."
" I wonder if she’s taking personal disciples."
Immediately after her introduction, many of the first year students began chattering, especially the commoners and those with less influential family. To people like Damon, he had seen many persons at Blaze’s tier and fame throughout his life, but to many others, Blaze could be described as an unmatched idol. Their faces lit up with excitement.
"Those who have been accepted into this Academy are the Elites of the Elite, the best of the best. Here at Austonia Academy, failure is not an option. You WILL be pushed far beyond your limits, tested harder than any test you’ve experienced so far. You will face harsh challenges not just in battle, but within your environment. Always remember this, you are ENEMIES first and Classmates second."
As Blaze’s words rang out, everyone in the First-Year who had just been accepted slowly looked around at each-other, their eyes burning with a competitive spirit.
"Only the best of the best students get the best of the best resources. If we see no value in you, we at Austonia Academy will only give you the bare minimum to succeed. In this school, strength and academics get you everything, whether that be more resources, a better dormitory, even extra time off campus, as long as you succeed, you will be rewarded!" Blaze’s passionate words rang out.
"And to the new students joining us. Do not think you’ve won just yet. Every year, we start off with Thousands if not more of First Year Students, and by the end, we would be lucky to have over 500. Ask your seniors if you need confirmation. We DID NOT make this Academy for you to slack off and waste our time. So you better watch yourself Freshmen, or else you can find yourself expelled." Blaze’s words held a threat that even the most influential students couldn’t ignore.
"With that, this is the end of Austonia Academy’s yearly opening ceremony. I wish you all great luck on your journeys!" Blaze said, before vanishing in a powerful crimson flame.
And with that, the Entrance Ceremony had finished!
_________________________________________
Damon had taken his time to calmly look around the Academy as he walked to his classroom. Everywhere he went, he could see people staring at him intently, some with immense fear, some with curiousity and some with excitement?
Regardless, Damon ignored all of them on his way to the classroom, Class X. Although the rank Examination still didn’t happen, the school put students in classes based on their assumption on who would be the strongest, and Damon was of course placed in Class X alongside most of the persons he kept tabs on.
Damon slowly entered the classroom, and suddenly everything went quiet. Everyone slowly looked at him, but unlike outside. Their gazes were filled with challenge and aggression, as if wanting to defeat Damon.
However, he didn’t pay them any mind, moving towards the middle of the classroom and taking a seat for himself, checking social media on his phone while waiting for their teacher to arrive.
However, the stares never stopped. Most girls in the class were intently staring at Damon, seeming to blush and giggle while glancing at him. One girl, a commoner who made it here using her talents, even got soaking wet after seeing Damon. Of course, she managed to hide it from others, but Damon could easily sense it as a Half Incubus.
Damon could also spot many others. He saw Antares Flandre, staring at him with intense anger and jealousy. Damon knew that Antares had a high amount of hostility towards him, and told himself to investigate the source.
He could also see Feyola and Elanore sitting in a group full of girls, who were all chatting with each-other, and occasionally stealing looks towards Damon.

Then suddenly, the door opened, and in stepped an absolutely gorgeous beauty. She was tall, her eyes ocean blue as her blue hair looked incredible as well. Her body was curvy but not overbearing, and she had a kind of calming and noble aura that made her seem especially friendly.
"Attention! I am your HomeRoom teacher and will be for your entire stint at this Academy. From now until graduation. I am Sylvia Atlantis, most of you know me as the Mermaid Princess, but in this Academy, I am simply your teacher."
She said with a stern expression.
"As the Principal said, slackers are not entertained at Austonia Academy. So anyone lagging behind will be immediately told to step it up, and if no progress is seen, expulsion is the next logical step. You all might be special out there, but I have seen thousands of persons with immense talent, waste it and die, grow arrogant and die, any many more reasons, so never stop improving. With that, we will have attendance. Damon Rivelea!"
"Present." Damon responded simply. Sylvia looked at Damon and nodded. She was specifically advised by the Principal to keep an eye on Damon. After all, his talent was too heaven-defying, and he had already made his name iconic all across the world due to his feat of placing his name on the Obsidian Rolls.
"Sonna Rivelea."
"Present."
"Antares Flandre."
"Present."
"Klaus Pendragon."
"Here!"
"Feyola Evergreen."
"Present."
Time ticked away as Sylvia called out all of the students names, completing the roll call.
[ "Good. Everybody is present. Now let us proceed as scheduled. Today, there won’t be any teaching, instead students will need to choose their Subjects and Clubs. In this Academy, non-participation is not an option, you must join at least 2 clubs during your stay. There are only 4 Mandatory Subjects:
- Weapon Training
- Mana Training and Education
- Overall Combat Training
- Miscellaneous Education ( such as Geography, History, Languages etc )." Sylvia said, inspecting the student’s responses before continuing.
"Students must do these 4 Subjects and must choose at least 4 more Subjects to complete. Your options are subjects such as Alchemy, BlackSmithing, Plant and Beast Identification, Survival Knowledge and Training, World Spiritist Training and more. Each student has an Academy Provided Tablet on their desk linked to their Academy Account. Using this tablet, you can choose your various subjects, you have until the end of the day to decide and can only change at the end of the Academic Year.Next up, Clubs. Students must join at minimum 1 Club during their time at the Academy." Sylvia said.
Damon didn’t care and immediately chose World Spiritist Training, Plant and Beast Identification, Rune Education and Survival Knowledge and Training as his 4 chosen subjects. As for Clubs, Damon waited till he had more information.
"Finally, the Rank and Points System. In 2 weeks, a Rank Examination will be conducted and all Students would be ranked. Your Rank will be announced to the Public, so if you like to save face, make sure you do well and place high on the rank leaderboards. Next Rank Battles, they are a magic simulation battle to raise your Rank on the leaderboards. You can only challenge those above you, but you cannot challenge the #1 unless you are #2 or #3 yourself. At the end of each month, rewards will be given out based on rank." Sylvia said.
"That’s all for today, you all can discuss amongst yourselves for now on. Tomorrow is your true first day at the Academy." Sylvia said before exiting the classroom, an immense amount of discussion immediately igniting.
Meanwhile, Damon just chuckled, excited to begin his journey in Austonia Academy!
