Signing-In: The Lazy Moon Goddess-Chapter 715: Dragged Inside
A sudden warning from Ru Yunlan was given to the four of them. Even though he had given them a warning Ru Yunlan didn’t directly explain the reason why this place doesn’t fit them and instead told them to find a forest. He just walked away. This warning was just one of his whims and he wasn’t entitled to save them. His godmother taught him, he can be kind if he wishes to. But if it’s going to put his life in danger then ignore. Unless it was something extremely important to you, like our lover or your family, sacrificing yourself for a stranger is not worth it. After all, if you die, it’s your loved one who would suffer extreme sadness and loneliness. They would love you and see you alive than die for the sake of some strangers not worth enough to exchange your life with.
As Ru Yunlan walks away, the four young cultivators of his age are bewildered. They had only approached him as he was alone and even if he fought against them, there was a huge possibility of winning with numbers. It wasn’t because they are kind, but for a reason that more information is better for their survival and Ru Yunlan is a risk they are willing to take. Unfortunately, Ru Yunlan isn’t willing to have a conversation with them. However, the warning he had given had made them think twice of venturing in this strange building.
The stranger a building is, the more opportunity they have. But like Ru Yunlan had said, even if there are treasures, there is an issue of compatibility. So the words of Ru Yunlan to them sounds like a warning more than an advice. This means that this young man most likely knows what is inside of this triangular building.
"Senior Sister Cui, do you believe him?" The gentle looking male cultivator with a loose mouth asked the stern looking female cultivator in their group.
The stern looking female cultivator watches the back of Ru Yunlan walking further away and no one know what she is thinking with her eyes narrowed as if deeply thinking of something.
The burly male cultivator asked, "Do you think he is lying to us? But that seems to be more of a warning than a suggestion. Maybe he doesn’t want to share the treasures inside with us."
"That man doesn’t seem to look like a greedy one. The materials his robe was made with, if I hadn’t seen it wrong, are definitely made from dragon material. A powerful kind as well," the lovely female cultivator said. "He is definitely the type to only take what he needs and leave the rest to others."
The three of them looked at the eldest within their group which is their Senior Sister Cui.
"Prepare to use your Exit Talisman. We will enter and leave at any sign of danger." Senior Sister Cui said.
The gentle looking man with a loose tongue named Junior Brother Zou said, "Then how are we going to enter inside? I don’t want to climb those stairs. It looks like a stairway to heaven. Though it is unknown whether that is indeed the entrance to hell or heaven."
"How about following the young man from before?" The other female disciple called Senior Sister Mei suggested.
The burly male cultivator called Qin said, "Instead of stalking let’s just ask for proper permission. No one would like it if you chase after them like a thief."
"Alright, I will ask then." Disciple Zou said as he run after the direction where Ru Yunlan had disappeared to and found him through the tracks he had left behind.
They didn’t expect him to go somewhere farther away from the triangular building. They saw him in some kind of small rock formation looking around finding something. Just as they got closer, Ru Yunlan suddenly spoke up but didn’t turn around to look at them.
"What would my fellow disciples need from this one?" Ru Yunlan asked.
The group of four approached Ru Yunlan who looked at them calmly yet his guard was heightened. Being taught never to lower his guard down towards strangers at all times was something Yue Xuexia had taught to them well. They were even to mask it with composure allowing the other to lower their guards instead. Disciple Zou was about to speak up but was suddenly held back by his senior sister.
"Cui-Shijie?" Disciple Zou looked confused.
Ru Yunlan was observing all four of them. Seeing that none of them were holding on to their weapon and their guards were lowered as they approached him, he slightly showed an intentional opening making them mistake that he had lowered his guard towards them when in reality within his sleeves, his fist was slowly charging his qi ready to be unleashed anytime.
"Please be at ease. We aren’t here to do anything against you, young master," said the female disciple Cui.
This female disciple suddenly becomes friendly for unknown reasons. What his junior brothers and sister didn’t know was that she was stunned speechless when she saw the jade token hanging on the young man’s waist. It was something she didn’t notice from the start. But just now when her eyes were observing Ru Yunlan, this jade token’s shape had shocked her. That’s an exclusive crescent moon pattern. Only those who are connected to the Moon Clan had to wear it on their bodies.
Moreover, this token had another shape with the crescent moon. A lotus flower. Though she doesn’t seem to recall whose Moon Descendant bore the insignia of lotus flower, this fact alone shows that this young man in front of them had connection to a Moon Descendant and most likely a direct bloodline one.
Ru Yunlan asked, "What do you want? You four cultivate with life qi and wood energy and you wanted to enter an ancient graveyard. Do you want to awaken all the old monsters in there and get yourself eaten?"
This time Ru Yunlan decided to scare them. He told them the reason for his warning before and as expected the four were surprised by what they had heard. They never expected that this triangular building is an ancient graveyard. Their masters told them before that due to the uniqueness of their cultivation technique they were loved by nature but at the same time a tonic to those who cultivate with yin, especially demonic cultivators who kills to increase their strengths.
With the four faces turned pale from this fact, Ru Yunlan chose to not care about them anymore. He needs to find an entrance as soon as possible and absorb the death qi inside so he can promote his Nether Physique and increase his cultivation realm even for a bit.
"An ancient graveyard? That building is a graveyard!" Disciple Zou looked at the triangular shaped building wanting to run away.
Even the burly looking, male cultivator Qin swallowed a saliva as he stared at the building looking terrified. As for the female cultivator Mei, she was trembling in fear. For old monsters who were already waiting for death but didn’t want to die, most of them would become demonic cultivators and kill someone to extend their lives. Cultivators like them who practice wood and life energy were a great source of life for them. There is no way they would be able to come out alive if they had truly entered inside.
Female Disciple Mei looked at her Senior Sister and said, "Shijie, let’s leave. This place is so dangerous. I don’t want to go inside anymore."
"Shijie, how about we follow the advice of this friend and find another opportunity? This place is a danger zone for us." Male Cultivator Qin said.
Seeing that her junior sister and brothers were all terrified, she felt that her interest for this building had completely diminished and only wanted to leave this place as soon as possible. Then suddenly she thought of the person in front of them. The Moon Clan’s moon energy is considered as some kind of Yin energy. However, it wasn’t the Yin energy that is usually used by demonic cultivators. The kind of yin qi that is nourished by the moon itself. Because of this most of those born with Moon energy are overwhelmingly powerful during the night and they are extremely sensitive to other yin energy in existence. This only means that this young man was telling the truth when he said that this building is a graveyard. This is because he can sense what kind of qi is lingering in this place. 𝑓𝘳𝑒𝑒𝓌𝘦𝘣𝘯ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝑚
Female cultivator Cui asked, "Young master, is the qi in this building a death qi?"
"Yes. How did you know?" Ru Yunlan asked.
At this point, all four of them wanted to leave the place as soon as possible. After all, death qi is extremely greedy for life, qi like wood and water were its favorites. Once it felt their existence they would become aggressive just to capture them.
Female Cultivator Cui turned around and urgently said to her junior siblings, "RUN!"
However, before they could move, the sand under them had made a move and swallowed all five of them including Ru Yunlan. They didn’t need to find the entrance as the building had forcibly dragged them inside.
