The moment Corey's body was crushed by the shockwave of the Paragon Ancestor's battle and the rocks falling from the mountain, he died.

There was no delay, and there was nothing that saved him from the jaws of death.

The shockwave was more than enough to kill him, but the rocks that fell on him just made his death faster and less painful.

Despite dying, the battle between the Paragon Ancestor, Supreme Ancestor, and Prince Zakar'el was still ongoing.

Neither of them even bothered to spare Corey's corpse a glance, almost like he was an insignificant bug.

And in front of these existences, he was truly an insignificant bug.

Unfortunately for this insignificant bug, he had a Will that could defy the very Heavens.

Just like in the physical world, Corey's crushed body in this world began to move.

His blood, flesh, internal organs, and several parts of his body began to move away from the boulders.

The blood, bones, organs, and flesh began to form his body once again.

The process was extremely disgusting to look at, but when his feet and half of his legs were formed, Corey became conscious once again.

His body had not been fully formed, but he could perceive his surroundings through his mind.

'It worked. My-'

Before he could finish his thoughts, another shockwave erupted from the sky and crashed into him.

His feet exploded into blood, bones, flesh, nails, and several other pieces.

And in the Forge, another powerful explosion erupted the instant Corey died.

Another minute passed, and his blood and several pieces of his body attempted to join back together.

Despite dying three times, his Undying Will always brought him back to life and attempted to reform his body.

But everytime his Undying Will tried to heal him, the shockwave from the attacks of the Supreme Ancestor, the Paragon Ancestor, and Prince Zakar'el would destroy his body.

Only his legs and sometimes just his feet would be reformed, and this kept on going on and on for dozens, and then over a hundred times.

The battle between the three powerful beings was still raging on and on, and the land was being destroyed and changed by their attacks.

Corey's body and blood was no longer where it used to be, it had flung so far away from its original position and scattered bits of his body could be seen in several places.

However, despite the state of his body, his Undying Will kept on trying and trying... every single time.

It never gave up.

It chose not to die.

And everytime it was crushed, it got back up stronger.

That was the horrifying fact about Undying Will.

Undying Will was not a healing skill or regeneration skill that could heal Corey's injuries.

No

Undying Will only healed Corey's body when he was on the verge of death.

Corey had to truly be on the verge of death for his Will to heal him. If he was not, his Will would not act.

That was the condition for his Will to activate.

And all the conditions were met in the scenario Corey was in.

He had been killed over a hundred times, and it looked like what he was going through was beginning to look like torture.

Dying after every single minute was literally torture, and very few individuals could withstand such a thing.

Fortunately for Corey, he was very much used to this.

In the simulation room of the Perceptual Nexus Repository, he had died countless times, and every sensation of death felt very real.

He had also trained his Will in a torturous manner for a situation like this, so he was used to this.

After more than fifty deaths, he was able to think longer before he died, and he realized that the figures of the Paragon Ancestor, Supreme Ancestor, and Prince Zakar'el was a representation of their Wills.

Each of their blood contained a fraction of their Wills, and their Wills were truly unfathomable... even if it was just a fraction.

The Paragon Ancestor and Nina had warned him not to absorb the blood essence of the Supreme Ancestor, and he did not fully understand why back then.

But now he did.

The main reason he was asked not to absorb the Supreme Ancestor's blood essence was because of the Supreme Ancestor's Will.

Even if the Paragon Ancestor helped him to suppress the Supreme Ancestor's Will and he became a new race, he would either be killed by both the Supreme Ancestor's Will and the Paragon Ancestor's Will.

Or... he would run mad due to the inevitable clash of both Wills.

The Paragon Ancestor could not completely wipe out the Will of the Supreme Ancestor, he could only suppress it for some time, but it would be like a ticking time bomb.

The only way he could be completely safe was if his Will was strong enough to suppress the Supreme Ancestor's Will.

But how could that be possible?

Even though what was currently battling the Paragon Ancestor was a fraction of the Supreme Ancestor's Will, such a Will was enough to kill every single god of his universe a million times over.

It was just that powerful, and he needed his Will to be more powerful than that?

It was pure madness.

And what made it worse was the additional appearance of Prince Zakar'el's Will.

Unlike the Paragon Ancestor who could control his Will and prevent it from harming Corey, the Prince was dead, and since Corey refused to allow the Prince to fuse with his heart, the only method to suppress the Prince's Will was to have a more powerful Will than him.

So, Corey needed a Will that was powerful enough to suppress the Will of the Supreme Ancestor, Prince Zakar'el, and also the Paragon Ancestor.

He needed to suppress all three Wills so that they would never take control of his body.

He could not destroy them because he was still too weak, but he could suppress them and prevent them from messing with his body.

And the only way to do that was to rely on his Undying Will as it adapted and was tempered with every attack of the three beings.
