Usually, whenever a death occurred in the Amphitheatre, the crowd always erupted in loud cheers or boos depending on their mood towards the fight.

However, for some strange reason, everybody remained silent as they watched the last interaction between a Master and Disciple.

In the hearts of most, the atmosphere just wasn't right for them to cheer, boo, or even make a reaction towards the death of the Master of Poison in the Underworld.

However, in the hearts and minds of those with unique senses, what they perceived was different.

They could feel a powerful and dreadful pressure emanating from Corey as he knelt before the corpse of his Master.

This pressure engulfed the entire Amphitheatre and it contained a deadly killing intent that caused sweat to drip from the foreheads of those who could sense it.

'What is this? How is the difference between the current him and the past him as a Tier 2 so vast?'

'Didn't he just advance to Tier 3? It's not like he advanced to a major realm? So why is he strong?'

This was the thought that went through Divine's mind as he stared at Corey with a perplexed and frustrated expression.

He was not the only person with such a thought. Every single outsider that could sense the pressure exuding from Corey sensed this, and all of them had solemn expressions.

Unknown, due to the awakening of Corey's Void Phoenix Heart which brought him closer to the state of a True Paragon, the fusion of his Minds Eye with his Cosmic Soul which quickened the awakening of his Cosmic Soul, and the presence of his Breath of Omniscience.

These three factors especially made Corey's presence to be much greater and grander than even the presence of most Tier 5s and some Tier 6s.

Meanwhile, as Corey knelt before the corpse of his Master. He stared at his Master's face without blinking even once.

His mind was in total and complete disarray, and so was his heart.

Thoughts of the consequences of his actions, thoughts of what he could have done to save his master's life, thoughts on if it was possible to bring his master back to life, thoughts on what his next steps forward should be, thoughts on what the gift his master could have left for him was, thoughts on...

So many... So many... So many... Thoughts appeared in Corey's mind as he stared at his Master's face, and Corey felt a deep disgust at himself.

This disgust was towards the fact that deep in his heart, he was not feeling anger nor was he feeling sad that his Master died.

No, he was calm, way too calm for somebody who had lost his Master who he was beginning to treat as a father figure.

Corey held his left chest, and a sad smile appeared on his face as he stared at his Master's peacefully sleeping face.

'Have I changed or have I lost an important part of myself all this while?'

'Am I truly... Heartless?'

Tears began to fall from Corey's eyes as his unblinking eyes stared at Old Man Poison's face.

'I want to cry and rage for the death of my master. Instead, I'm crying because I feel like I've changed and because I might not be the person I used to be.'

'But is that why I'm actually crying?'

'Am I actually crying because I'm worried about this change?'

'No.'

'I know why I'm crying.'

'I'm crying because I'm worried I would not feel a single thing towards Anna when I see her... I'm worried I've lost every single bit of affection I have towards her.'

'That's what I'm truly worried about.'

Corey wiped the tears from his eyes with the same sad smile.

"I'm worried, but it doesn't matter at all... Because I have to save her as her big brother no matter what."

Corey muttered these words softly, and then he placed his right hand on Old Man Poison's corpse.

The corpse vanished, and then he slowly stood with the same smile, however, there was a subtle but unnerving change to his smile and his expression.

It was completely emotionless and... Cruel.

Corey's pure white eyes shifted towards the individual who killed his Master, Lyam.

Unlike the others who had solemn and curious expressions at the presence of Corey, Lyam had a cruel and satisfied smile as he sat on a chair that seemed to have been brought from out of nowhere.

"I like that look of pain and sadness on your face. It suits you, and that is what I wanted to inflict on you."

"The pain you caused me when you killed my friend."

"How does it-"

"Your voice sickens me."

As Lyam spoke with an extremely satisfied and cruel expression, he saw Corey's lips move.

Corey's voice suddenly appeared to his right despite the fact that he could still see Corey walking towards him.

"What?"

Lyam snapped his head to the right in shock, but he saw nobody.

"What the he-"

Bam

A fist connected with Lyam's head, and his body flew away from the chair he sat on.

He lost consciousness for a second, and just as he was about to crash into the sandy ground of the arena, his eyes opened wide and he quickly stopped himself from crashing into the ground by using his hands.

'What the hell just happened?!'

Lyam' eyes widened in shock and confusion as he looked around for Corey. He turned to his left, he turned to his right, he looked behind him, and he even looked above him, but he saw no sign of Corey.

"Where the-"

"Where are you looking? I'm right in front of you."

Corey's voice echoed in his ears and he instantly fell on his buttocks because Corey stood a few inches in front of him with the same smile he had from the beginning.

What was strange to Lyam was that Lyam did not sense any movement from Corey or any displacement in space from Corey at all.

Instead, it felt like Corey had always been standing in front of him but he had not seen him or noticed him at all.

"What the hell are you?" Lyam stuttered, and Corey grabbed his neck.

The moment Corey grabbed his neck, a voice echoed in the Amphitheatre.

"That's enough."
