After the successful fusion of Maledro's Gu with his Poison Infinity Crystal, Corey used his free time to study and know everything about the three Maledro's Gu.

The three Maledro's Gu were in a state of hibernation, and Corey knew that the three Maledro's Gu were acclimatizing to the Poison Infinity Crystal.

They were not dying nor were they deteriorating, instead, their bodies were just making the final adjustments so as to be truly fused with the Poison Infinity Crystal.

Two days later, a knock resounded in Corey's room and with a thought from Corey, the door to Corey's room opened and Kiefer entered with a tray in his hands.

The moment Kiefer entered Corey's room, his eyes widened in shock when he saw countless black, green, and colorless runes and a black cloud filling Corey's room.

Kiefer took a step back in shock, but he tripped and the tray fell from his hands. Kiefer's eyes widened, and he tried to catch the tray but he could not.

The black cloud moved at an extremely fast speed, and before the tray hit the ground, the black cloud stopped it by going underneath it.

Kiefer's mouth opened in surprise and awe as he slowly got to his feet. He watched as the black cloud carried the tray to his Master, and then Kiefer shook his head slightly as he came out of his shock.

He approached Corey, however, his eyes were still on the black cloud. He didn't know why but he was more fascinated by the black cloud compared to the swirling runes in the room.

However, the moment he got closer to Corey and he saw the true appearance of the black cloud, his eyes brightened with amazement and awe.

"What are they? I've never seen insects like them before? They have three scorpion tails, and they have eight legs like spiders, and they also have fangs like snakes."

"What in the world are they?"

Kiefer's voice contained not a single bit of fear as he stood so close to the dense cloud of Maledro's Gu.

Due to all the everything he had experienced in the Underworld, his instincts for danger was extremely high, and he knew that the cloud of Maledro's Gu could kill him with extreme ease.

However, he trusted Corey.

Since Corey was in the room and he could control the cloud of strange black insects, he knew he was safe.

After hearing about the things Corey did in the Battle of Chosens, Kiefer knew just how powerful Corey was, and he also knew that Corey was not like his father who wished him harm.

"They're Gu Insects... I call them Maledro's Gu."

Corey's voice drifted into Kiefer's ears, and Kiefer's expression stiffened for a split second.

"Maledro's Gu? As in...?"

Kiefer could not complete his words but Corey knew what he wanted to say.

He nodded, "Yes, Maledro as in my Master."

Kiefer looked down, and then he glanced at the cloud of Maledro's Gu with a guilty and sad expression.

"I'm really sorry, Master. It's because of me Old Man Poison died. If you didn't save me by killing my father, Old Man Poison would still be alive by now and he would not have been targeted by the Legion of Nightmares."

"It's my fault. I'm really sorry."

Corey remained silent as he gazed at Kiefer who did not have the courage to look him in the eye as he spoke.

He shifted his gaze to the tray hovering in front of him. On the tray were seven pieces of toast and a hot cup of black coffee.

A light smile appeared on Corey's face as he recalled a memory of his father eating toast and a hot cup of coffee before going to work.

'I used to tell my Father that he was an old man which is why he was drinking a cup of coffee, but now look at me, I'm drinking a cup of coffee and eating toast even though I don't need it.'

Corey grabbed a toast and then he took a bite from it.

Kiefer looked up with a confused expression, and when he saw Corey eating the toasts he made with a pleased expression, a stunned expression appeared on his face.

Sip

Corey took a sip from the hot cup of coffee, and he nodded with a pleased expression.

"Good coffee and toast."

Kiefer blinked and looked around to make sure he was not in a dream, but after realizing that he was not dreaming, he replied with the only words he could think of.

"... Thanks?"

Corey nodded while eating another toast, and then he took a sip of the cup of coffee before he spoke.

"I have a feeling that you'll be very important to me, Kiefer. You might be the person that would always remind me of trivial and mortal things I might forget... Or should I say, consider insignificant and worthless."

"..." Kiefer. "Huh?"

Corey smiled when he saw Kiefer's baffled expression, "What I'm saying is that having you as my butler and gardener might be one of the best decisions I would make in my life."

"I don't know why I have this feeling, but I trust my guts."

Kiefer's lips curled up as a weird expression appeared on his face, "I doubt anybody would agree with you that choosing a fourteen year old to be your butler and gardener is a wise decision."

"... In fact, people might say you're making me your slave. Who uses a fourteen year old as their gardener and butler?"

Corey smiled, "Me."

Kiefer's lips twitched, "Whatever... Just do you then."

Corey chuckled, and then he ate another toast and drank his cup of coffee.

Kiefer went back to observing the cloud of Maledro's Gu, and he summoned up the courage to put his hand inside the cloud of Maledro's Gu.

He smiled as he played with the insects, but then Corey's voice drifted into his ears as he played with the insects.

"Like I've told you before, the death of my Master is not on you. So don't blame yourself for it at all."

Kiefer looked at Corey and stared into Corey's sky blue and deep violet eyes. Three seconds later, Kiefer looked away and nodded softly.

"Alright, I won't blame myself anymore."

"Good." Corey smiled.

"But we'll have to take revenge no matter what... Right?"

Corey blinked in surprise, and then he chuckled.

"Not 'we', just me... You're still a Tier 1, and you're weak."

Kiefer looked at Corey with an aggrieved expression the instant Corey said these words, "But that's your fault. You're the one that said I should not advance to Tier 2 for whatever reason."

"Hmm." Corey took a bite of the toast in his hand, "That's true."

Corey took a sip from the cup of coffee, and then he spoke, "You have a unique physique and soul, and it'll be a shame for you to advance to higher tiers while being limited by your race as a human."

Kiefer raised his brows and asked, "Are you not a human?"

Corey smiled, "Can a human ever be as handsome as me?"

Kiefer's lips twitched at Corey's narcissistic words, "If you're not a human, then what are you?"

Corey's smile widened slightly, "A secret."

Corey took a bite of the toast in his hands, and then he spoke just as Kiefer was about to speak.

"We need to increase your racial limit so that your physical stats would be as high as possible."

"You're my butler and gardener, and I can't have a weak butler and gardener by my side no matter what."

Kiefer stared at Corey for some seconds, and without saying anything, he turned and stared at the cloud of Maledro's Gu.

Corey looked at Kiefer with a pondering light in his eyes for some seconds, and then he spoke while taking a bite from the toast.

"So, did you only come to my room to bring me a cup of coffee and a plate of toast."

"Ah." Kiefer exclaimed loudly with wide eyes. He quickly turned towards Corey, and spoke.

"I totally forgot. The Captain said I should tell you that the auction is about to start and we should get going."
