Sinner System-Chapter 489: Two Outcomes
Point-of-View: Jaden Xeno

"You guys cool with me taking it from here?" I inquired, as I stepped forward.
"Go ahead, man. I’d like to conserve some of my energy, considering that this is only the first raid of the day and all. All yours," Aarav sighed in response.
"Yeah, I’ll take the next Boss, so you can have this one," Added Iseul with a thumbs up.
"Alright, then, here I go," I nodded, before letting out a slow exhale and chanting, "[Telekinetic Surge]."
I channeled telekinetic energy throughout my entire body, controlling and stabilizing its flow as I felt my strength surge.
A ghostly white mist flowed around me, the Dungeon Boss eyeing me warily, an Archdemon.
We’d fought our way through a few thousand Lesser Demons, Demons and Greater Demons, and now, all that’s left is the Dungeon Boss.
I’ve got a pretty solid grasp over Telekinetic Surge at this point, thanks to these intense raids. I do still feel a few twinges of pain sometimes, when the flow of the telekinetic energy I’m channeling through my body loses a bit of stability. But my control over it is a lot sharper now, it shouldn’t be too much longer before I’m able to use it without damaging my body in the process.
Wish I had a regeneration ability like Kai and Ariella do, that’d make things a lot easier. Oh, well, it is what it is.
"What’s the matter, Archdemon? You look scared," I remarked tauntingly, as I steadily began approaching the Monster.
"Of course I am...based on your Aura, you are clearly more powerful than I am. I did not ask to be dragged into this conflict, I was perfectly content in my original world. But the Demon Lord’s orders are absolute, refusal would mean death. Not that I was even given the chance to refuse," He sighed wistfully.
"If that’s the case, why don’t you just surrender? Maybe join our side, and make the Demon Lord pay for dragging you into this against your will," I suggested in response.
"And what would that accomplish? Why would I join the losing side? Either I die here, or I die once the Demon Lord’s army wins this war...either way, I die," He shrugged with a grimace, before firing out a rapid blast of Negative Energy at me.
I swung my left arm across, coating my hand and forearm in intense, swirling telekinetic energy, batting the blast away.
Looks like there’s no choice but to fight. Well, I suppose I don’t really mind either way.
"[Demonic Art: Blood Crystallization]," He chanted, blood bursting out of his palms before taking the shape of blades and crystallizing.
He shot up into the air before rapidly swooping down towards me, unleashing a pressurized burst of Negative Energy from his feet to launch himself with a sharp boost in speed, swinging his blades across at my chest.
The blades shattered as I unleashed a telekinetic burst over my chest as they closed in on me, before I drove my right arm forward, slamming my palm against the middle of his chest and unleashing a concentrated burst of telekinesis, blasting him away.
He hit the ground and skidded back several meters, before quickly scrambling back onto his feet as I zipped forward and closed in on him in the blink of an eye.
He rapidly extended blood out of his right hand, which took form in the shape of a sickle, before he swung it at my neck as the blood crystallized.
He stiffened as I zipped across and sprang up behind him, his crystal blood sickle whizzing through the air before he twisted his body across as I fired out a powerful, piercing telekinetic blast towards his Core, my attack bursting through the right side of his torso, narrowly missing his Core.
I sprang back as he unleashed a burst of Negative Energy around himself, before spinning around and firing out a barrage of crystallized blood needles towards me.
I formed a telekinetic shield in front of myself, the needles pinging off of it, before I launched myself straight up into the air with a pressurized telekinetic burst, and blasting myself straight down towards him with another one.
I formed a telekinetic blade along my left palm, swinging my arm down as I closed in on him, slicing his left arm and a chunk of his left shoulder off as he tilted his upper body across to the right just in time to avoid getting split vertically in half.
"D-Damn it...!" He gasped, starting to turn his gaze back as I slipped behind him, slamming my palm against the middle of his back.
His eyes briefly widened in alarm, before a look of resignation appeared on his face as he realized he was too late to react, a devastating, piercing burst of telekinesis erupting out of my palm.
My attack shattered his Core as it burst out through his solar plexus, a wide, shredded hole through the middle of his torso.
He stumbled forward with an agonized gasp as blood gushed out and splattered across the ground, before collapsing onto his knees as his arms slumped to his sides, his body going limp as it fell over.
Right as he hit the ground with a thud, the Dungeon vanished, before we found ourselves back outside, piled of Demonic corpses strewn about the area all around us.
"Alright, that’s one down for the day. And I barely feel any pain, no major injuries this time, definitely hurts a lot less than the first time," I grinned, as I stretched my arms out.
"Heh, that’s what she said," Replied Aarav with a slight chuckle.
"Woah, feel like it’s been a while since I last heard you crack a joke," Responded Iseul in bemusement.
"I mean, if someone sets me up so emphatically, I have to seize it."
"Not what I was going for, but glad to see you’re getting back to normal. The situation is dire, sure, but there’s only two outcomes, we either win or we lose...and stressing out about it isn’t going to change anything," I pointed out.
"Yeah, guess you’ve got a point there."
