Sinner System-Chapter 557: Demon Lord Vaszel Vos Kealfaos (Part 1)
Point-of-View: Vaszel Vos Kealfaos
———————————————————————————
Hm...that felt strange, did I hit my mark?
Yes, I’m certain that I did not miss, I definitely hit the presence I sensed...but something felt off about the impact.
Ah, it must have been one of Kaivel Intrix’s undead servants, likely sent to scout ahead.
If so, then the humans must already know that they will not have to fight me one on one. Well, not that it makes a difference.
Even if they have grown more powerful through this Final Dungeon, they’re sorely mistaken if they think they can defeat me.
Now, then...it won’t be much longer.
Any minute now, they’ll appear before me. And once I kill them, my goal of eradicating humanity will be all be realized.
Finally, after all this time, it is at hand at last. The fruition of the vengeance I’ve sought for centuries, it’s well within my grasp.
Hm?
Ah, it looks like the barriers around the human strongholds are close to reaching their limits, several of them appear to be flickering.
It will likely only be a matter of minutes before they cease functioning entirely, and then, my forces can finally invade and wipe out the humans.
I must say, this has not been as one-sided as I’d initially anticipated.
Despite how powerful the Sentinels were, I was prepared for all of them to be wiped out...however, I really expected them to do more damage.
But to think that only a mere three humans were killed battling them in the Final Dungeon.
I had higher hopes for the Sentinels, but in the end, they were nothing more than disappointments.
Well, no matter.
Despite the disappointment, they’ve served their purpose. All that’s left to do now is exterminate Kaivel Intrix and the humans by his side, and then, my victory will be complete.
Now, then...
"It’s been a while, Vaz. How’ve you been?"
"You’re as cocky as I remember, Kaivel Intrix. But this time, you won’t survive, and I’m in strong anticipation of seeing that look wiped off your face," I responded, as I leaned back in my seat.
Let’s have a look at the rest, Appraisal...hm, it is just as Spektar said, the humans have grown exponentially stronger through the Final Dungeon.
All eight of them possess Personalis Arma, and some of them have gained drastic boosts in power in addition to that.
Including Kaivel Intrix, he was unquestionably nowhere near this powerful the last time I saw him.
As for the rest...Ariella Velle, possessing the power of flames, she appears to be the most powerful after Kaivel Intrix himself.
Jaden Xeno, Telekinetic Magic...he is not as powerful as the other two, but he is not weak either.
Ciel Campbell, Explosion Magic, I imagine the effect of her Magic is self-explanatory. Her bloodlust is the most palpable of the group.
Cleo Nova, this one is fascinating...what a wide array of abilities. It’s a shame that I have already maximized the capacity of powers I can steal, what a waste. Her bloodlust is quite intense as well.
As for the remaining three, a Healer, Enchanter and the Shadow Magic user, they are inconsequential.
I have seen all these humans through the eyes of the Dungeon Bosses they’ve faced, but using Appraisal through the eyes of those under my command is rather limited, I can see a lot more information if I use Appraisal directly.
And then, of course, are the undead servants of Kaivel Intrix. The Dark Elf, his bloodlust surpasses all of the humans’ combined.
Then there’s Raixel, he appears to be as unmotivated as he was when he served as one of my Generals.
And it seems Kanine and Medusa are the newest additions to Kaivel Intrix’s undead ranks, how troublesome.
"Man, that’s a terrifying Aura. And it’s just like you said, Kai, he really does look like a kid," Remarked Jaden Xeno, a bemused look on his face.
"I don’t care if he looks like a baby, doesn’t change a damn thing as far as I’m concerned," Uttered Ciel Campbell venomously, cracking her knuckles with a murderous gleam in her eyes.
Interesting, despite their hatred and fear, they’re remaining calm, all of them, even the weaker three.
"[Blaze Ignition: Flare], [Descent]!"
"[Telekinetic Surge]!"
"<Monstrification>!"
Oh, their power has spiked significantly. I’ll admit, I’m impressed. But let’s see just how deep their conviction and courage runs...
"<Demonic Art: Intimidation>."
A dark aura erupted around me, rapidly spreading out across the space.
But only the Enchanter reacted, shrinking back slightly, the rest unaffected.
Must be that Status Effect Immunity power than most of them possess. Well, it seems my Intimidation Skill is all but useless in this battle.
No matter. I have no shortage of options.
"[Super Reinforce], [Super Accel], [Super Fortify], [Grand Magic B-...]!" Exclaimed the Enchanter, casting his Spells on the five stronger humans, before abruptly trailing off before he could finish casting the fourth Spell, as Spektar zipped up behind him, phasing out through the ground.
"[Demonic Art: Possession]!" Chanted Spektar, his ethereal body expanding and engulfing the Enchanter, before flowing into him.
The other two weaker humans were quick to back away from the Enchanter, as Spektar invaded and took control of his body, the Enchanter struggling in vain.
Kaivel Intrix spun around and shot towards the Enchanter, the humans’ formation falling apart.
Excellent, and now that they’ve been thrown into disarray, I shall begin their plunge into despair, they will now come to realize the hopelessness of their situation...
"<Demonic Art: Disintergra-...>," I began as I raised my arm, before my chant was interrupted as a deafening boom rang out, my eyes widening slightly as a rapid blur shot towards me and closed in in an instant.
"[Explosion Blade]. Die!" Uttered Ciel Campbell murderously, as she thrust her right arm forward.
I swiftly tilted my head across as a blade of dark red energy shot towards my face, colliding against the backrest of the throne I was seated upon, before a powerful explosion erupted upon impact, my head jerking across to the left and my side jarring against the left armrest of the throne.
As I extended out my claws, she suddenly stretched her left arm towards me, slipping it under her outstretched right arm, a swirling mass of explosive energy charged up...
