Sky-cracking Rider-Chapter 1345 - 1311: Resource Constraints
After expending nearly ten Element Annihilation Bombs to luckily sink a Biological Space Mothership, the situation has not improved. The full-scale invasion of the "Sagari" civilization has just begun.
Biological Space Motherships have also appeared in the other three anomalous regions, and under the escort of numerous Biological Combat Weapons, they are beginning to emerge.
These parasitic species have long harbored ill intentions. Anomalous regions not only serve as traps consuming Blue Star Civilization’s ability users, but also as key invasion points for ultimate weapons like Biological Space Motherships. The resources Blue Star Civilization has obtained are insignificant, like fishing bait in the eyes of the "Sagari" civilization.
What space fissures and "Wormhole Clouds" cannot achieve, the four anomalous regions easily accomplish. The reason they only now launch the formal assault may be that the necessary arrangements and rules needed sufficient time. The "Sagari" successfully diverted Blue Star Civilization’s attention, preparing in secret without detection. Even Chen Fei and his team failed to notice the subtle changes in time.
Though S-Class Superpower User Heseman Brown’s psi skill "Isolation" can tightly seal the anomalous regions, facing the "Sagari" civilization with enough cards to play, relying solely on him as a high-level ability user is far from enough.
"All four locations have Biological Space Mothership appearances, except for space fissures outside the atmosphere, but we shouldn’t let our guard down!"
Chen Fei informed everyone of the current situation, which is not optimistic.
Any unimpeded entry of a Biological Space Mothership into Blue Star means overwhelming Strategic Level pressure on all human civilization. A mishandled response could very well mark the beginning of an apocalypse for human civilization; thus, caution is imperative.
The full combat airship battle groups stationed at the other three anomalous regions are insufficient to blockade and intercept Biological Space Motherships, and Chen Fei did not attempt to tackle alone but directly petitioned the Blue Star Global United Defense Committee for reinforcement, openly stating that an hour’s delay would worsen Blue Star’s disadvantage.
Neither a Biological Space Mothership nor its densely packed Flying Ship Black Vine and already formed Pod Flying Ship would offer Blue Star Civilization any chances.
All sovereign powers near and far from the anomalous regions began mobilizing their combat forces, gathering at the nearest anomalous regions.
The current situation is perilously close to a decisive battle, and Chen Fei’s One Man Army is already far from adequate. Sovereign powers no longer hide behind, instead unleashing their war potential and committing to this planetary defense battle.
The tactical equipment factories in Boundary Pearl Life Space are running at full capacity, especially the semiconductor, mechanical beings, and Super Star Crystal production lines, not only forming essential components of various tactical units but also enhancing production continuously.
Life Space now accommodates over a hundred thousand people, rivaling Blue Star’s smallest sovereign in rank, yet neither industrial structure nor labor can support Chen Fei’s current combat capacity long-term.
The reasonable ratio is ten thousand people support one soldier, but for Chen Fei, just the reserves of Combat Mechs exceed five million, still churning out day and night without intent to reduce production capacity. Once all are deployed to battle, maintenance alone exceeds what this population base can bear, so labor relies on weapons-equipped AI-driven Adam Mechs—warriors or industry workers as needed, thanks to Adam, otherwise, it’s unmanageable.
"We now wonder, where does the ’Sagari’ civilization’s focus lie?"
One representative of Chen Fei’s advisory team posed a new question, relating to Strategic Level decisions.
The "Sagari" civilization wages a dual-front war: one front based on atmospheric four anomalous regions and space fissures, launching offensives led by Biological Space Motherships. Though few, these invasion nodes are exceptionally tough. The other front employs overwhelming amounts of "Wormhole Clouds" with Biological Combat Weapons to envelop Cangqiong Star.
Each front appears as the main thrust, and it might be the "Sagari" civilization’s all-encompassing strategic scheme rather than an either-or choice.
Conversely, Blue Star and Cangqiong Star, as opponents, require strategic planning, deciding between fighting individually, guarding each other, or forming an alliance against the "Sagari" civilization.
Complicating matters, former exchanges between the stellar planets utilized convenient Dimensional Gates, where 108 Longinus can establish 54 pairs of Dimensional Gates, sufficient for large-scale interstellar and global troop movements. Now, some Longinus are in the "Sagari" civilization’s hands, rendering Dimensional Gates insecure and likely invasion points.
"I... can’t see it!"
Chen Fei pondered for a long time and shook his head.
He can’t attain such heights and lacks sufficient reference information for effective strategic analysis. 𝐟𝐫𝕖𝗲𝘄𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝕧𝐞𝚕.𝕔𝕠𝐦
Louis Landon said, "Then draft several plans and prepare in advance."
Having painstakingly built up for today’s scenario over decades, the time for all-in has arrived. He will spare no effort, despite any loss it may bring, even sacrificing the entirety of Louis Industrial Company.
Riches lost can be regained; Lord Landon is not a mere money-chasing profiteer.
"No matter how many plans we draft, our resources still can’t support a dual-front war."
Advisory representatives exchanged glances and collectively shook their heads.
Having previously deliberated over the big boss’s ideas, strategy is straightforward—a few strokes of the pen or a few words sketch a plan. Whether a word count requirement or details broken down into each day or hour, they guarantee feasibility.
But combining these strategies with reality turns them into bubbles, challenging execution, akin to daydreaming.
Using Chen Fei’s strength for localized battlegrounds like No. 1 Star System and No. 2 Star System is viable, wrecking everything and leaving behind a mess can be manageable; given time and resources, recovery is possible eventually. Yet, with the battlefield on native Blue Star, retreat isn’t possible and escape nonviable—such a last-stand scenario cannot be resolved with a few plans.
Their plight feels akin to no seat in Golden Throne Hall but a place on Road to the Netherworld; a commoner’s fate faced with an emperor’s concerns, nothing but oppressed.
Of course, self-care is possible, yet without Blue Star Civilization, self-care is meaningless!
With a mere hundred thousand people, regaining the current Blue Star population base could take three to five millennia.
Not to mention such duration—even a hundred years later, with change so profound and memory faded—whether recalling the "Sagari" civilization enemy or having the capacity for revenge is uncertain.
The Life Tree might assist in rapid population expansion, but artificial reproduction bears problems, primarily in care and education during early childhood stages—human younglings indeed aren’t economical, consuming significant economic contributions.
"Reconsider the ’Ark Plan,’ establish a shelter on Socotra Island, and activate the Stargate for population reception."
Chen Fei had to reopen the worst-case plan, abandoning Blue Star homeland, fleeing into vast space.
Thankfully, having the Boundary Pearl Life Space can accommodate significant populations, and relying solely on current airships means minimal evacuation with harsh living conditions and sustainability issues.
