Slime Evolution-Chapter 44 - Showing Something Cool
After Lohan’s interruption, he completely lost interest in the class and mentally tuned out, since even the data didn’t seem reliable.
Sitting in one of the back rows, Lohan managed to grab his cell phone from under the table and use that time to search for information about Elysium.
At the end of class, he just got up and went straight to the bus stop, wanting to get home as soon as possible.
What he didn’t realize, as he hurried out, was that two or three pairs of eyes were staring at him with different emotions.
Two pairs of eyes looked at Lohan with a slight trace of genuine curiosity, while the third pair of eyes was more sinister, with a mixture of malice and amusement, as if they had found an interesting toy.
But no one did anything about it, just watching Lohan calmly leave the classroom.

When he got home, Lohan first exercised again.
Now that he could absorb even more nutrients from food, his body was even more full of energy.
And with the [Digestive Filter], his cardiorespiratory capacity had risen to another level, generating breath much faster than before, allowing Lohan to train even longer and with greater intensity.
Feeling his own helplessness, Lohan realized that he could only rely on himself in this world, so he decided to improve himself as much as possible.
Putting aside his concerns about money, Lohan spent the last credits available on his card to buy everything in nutritional solutions, which were not only low in price but also delivered many nutrients per meal.
Unfortunately, he couldn’t spend too much time improving himself in the real world, since every minute spent here was a minute lost in Elysium, and since his improvement here depended on how evolved he was in the game, Lohan knew how to set his priorities.
After finishing the quick and intense exercise, Lohan put on his helmet and felt control of the Slime’s body again.
Having played for so many days, being more physically active as Halon the Slime than as Lohan the Human, he felt that controlling this virtual body was becoming more and more comfortable, as if little by little this body was assimilating more and more with him.
Opening his friends list, he saw that Lisa was offline and didn’t care, scrolling to the clearing where he usually found Aeliana.
With his increased speed, Lohan was now able to capture some insects along the way, but unfortunately, no insects with a unique ability like that leech he found on the first day appeared.
Arriving at the clearing, a beautiful blonde girl with long, silky, shiny hair and naturally smooth skin, much better than the artificial smooth skin of today’s college professor, was looking around, a little worried.
When she saw the small shiny blue ball rolling towards her, the elf girl’s eyes lit up.
"Little friend!" she said excitedly as she ran up to Lohan and bent down to pick him up, as she had done before, but when she held him, she remembered the "argument" they had had yesterday and began to open her hands, letting him go.
But Lohan didn’t dislike the girl’s affection, he just didn’t like being treated like a pet, and seeing how she also liked it, he activated [Selective Viscosity] and stuck to her hand, rolling closer.
Seeing that, Aeliana’s eyes sparkled with excitement, a big white smile appearing on her face as she hugged Lohan tightly and affectionately, until concern appeared on her face again.
"My friend, I’m sorry, but today I couldn’t bring you any Mana Stones... my master realized that I took that hidden stone yesterday and hid the other stones from me." She said worriedly, apparently afraid that the little Slime would leave upon hearing this.
But Lohan didn’t care much, the Mana Stone was still with him, charged enough that it wouldn’t show signs of being fully digested for the next few days.
Not to mention that it was never her obligation to give him anything, it was always her who suggested it.
Forming his little blue hand, Lohan lightly caressed the girl’s hand, expressing that everything was fine.
Aeliana felt relieved, happy that her little friend wouldn’t leave because she didn’t have anything useful.
"I know!" she said excitedly. "Since I didn’t bring you anything cool, how about I take you to see something cool?"
Lohan was curious, what could it be?
But he didn’t know how to ask that without a mouth, so he stayed quiet, waiting for her to explain.
And Aeliana did not disappoint. "I don’t know if you have anything important to do right now, but how about I take you to see my city? I can’t take you inside, since only contracted creatures, summoned creatures, or sentient races can enter, and unfortunately Slimes are not considered sentient by the Royal Family... sure, if you want to become my Contracted Familiar, I wouldn’t refuse."
Lohan was very tempted to accept this, as from the explanation it seemed that Aeliana lived in a real city, a city that probably had its own currency and where he could finally earn money for the real world!
But the idea of becoming a Contracted Familiar didn’t seem good, mainly because he didn’t know what the requirements and limitations would be.
’Maybe this is a route to getting an Uncommon Class, like knights’ squires, but for me, the appeal of that is very low compared to the limitations it would bring... But not being able to enter the city today doesn’t mean I’ll never be able to enter, right?’
Looking at the small human hand he formed with [Structural Stability Lv 9], Lohan realized that when this Evolution leveled up even further, it wouldn’t be impossible to make a humanoid body to enter the city. Even if it still looked like a Slime, it would be easier to show that it was a Sentient Race than to maintain its faceless round shape.
Using the small hand, Lohan tried to explain that he didn’t want to become a familiar, but he was still curious to go see her village.
Aeliana smiled even more and with a swing of her staff, the two practically flew away from where they were, crossing hundreds of meters in a few seconds.
In a few minutes, they had traveled several kilometers, and Lohan finally saw the outline of Aeliana’s city, but what he saw there was shocking.
