"^%%," Slime#47—now a goblin baby—yelled, unable to control even his arms.

Thud!

Thud!

An elderly goblin in a torn woolen tunic entered the cave hurriedly. He almost tripped on the ground.

"What's wrong?" the man barked, placing the newborn goblin baby on the bed.

The old goblin swallowed his saliva. "Lord… we spotted humans a few miles away."

"Humans rushing in?… run!" Young Slime yelled internally, scowling.

He mused, frowning. 'They will slaughter us…' He narrowed his eyes at the woman chained to the wall. 'Even a baby like me—because of you, goblin… freak.'

The woman's long black hair swept aside as her face came into view.

'Beautiful…' Slime#47 thought as he glanced at her white oval face. She was perfectly proportional. 'She's more beautiful than the top actresses from my past life…'

He used his skill, "Appraisal."

'She's stronger than the goblin lord,' He thought, his eyes twitched as he glanced her level. 'Is he a combat genius?' He glanced at his new dad.

"Cough!" the woman coughed. She was pale due to exhaustion. Sweat poured down her forehead.

She was clad in light black body armor—torn in many places, exposing her skin.

"So… how strong are they?" Goblin Dad asked, unsheathing the axe on his back.

"No… my lord." Goblin Elder raised his hands, trying to stop the goblin lord. "You mustn't engage in battle… they are seven C-rank adventurers. We must run."

"Idiot," Goblin Dad roared, gripping his axe. "Signal everyone to run… and throw out the weak goblins to buy us time."

"Yes, my lord." The old goblin rushed out hurriedly—not even surprised by the command to discard weak goblins.

"Hahaha… you'll die," the woman suddenly grinned. "You goblin… using poison and sneak attack, you forced yourself on me."

She narrowed her eyes and spat at Goblin Lord, yelling, "My friends will kill you!"

She closed her eyes as tears fell. "My child… is a goblin… ahahaha!" She laughed maniacally.

'What… my mother?' Slime#47's mouth opened wide. 'Only one woman… and I woke up here. She is my mother, but…'

Young Slime hoped he was brought here from outside, so she wouldn't be his mother. Otherwise, it would be too cruel.

'It's an illusion…an illusion,' he reassured himself. 'But… I'll take revenge for Mother,' he vowed.

The woman glanced at the goblin baby with loving eyes, biting her lips. "I cannot bring myself to hate you…" She clenched her fists. "If you're really my child… don't be like any other goblin—"

Whoosh!

Goblin Lord beheaded her.

Her beautiful head fell on the ground, bouncing near the goblin baby's legs.

Splash!

Blood fell like rain as—thud!—her headless body fell to the ground.

"You've finished your job as a woman," Goblin Dad said softly, wiping his bloody axe on his leaves.

"Mother…" the goblin baby yelled, but all that came out was "^^t^," a baby cry.

He tried to rush to his mom, but he couldn't raise his arms—much less move.

'I couldn't even know my mother's name,' he roared internally.

His new goblin life had finally begun.

'No wonder… in that anime, he was hell-bent on killing all goblins,' he mused, biting his lips. His body was a total failure.

Thud!

He noticed huge green hands reaching out to him.

"It's okay…" Goblin Lord lifted him up and swayed him right and left. "Don't cry… It's just a toy."

He thought the goblin baby's shouts were cries.

"Toy… what toy?" the goblin baby roared, but only baby squeals came out.

Thud!

Goblin Elder rushed in. He stopped the moment he spotted the headless body.

"My lord… everyone is ready," he said, voice trembling. "We should evacuate quickly… humans are just a few miles away."

"Discarded members?" Goblin Lord asked, rushing out while holding his son.

The old goblin followed quickly as he replied, "Lord, we lost more than a hundred goblins of Tier 1 and fifty of Tier 2…"

Whoosh!

"Demonic Flash!" Goblin Dad and Goblin Elder both cast demonic magic as they dashed out.

Goblin baby—held by Goblin Lord—narrowed his eyes as golden sunlight fell on them, irritating his eyes.

'I cannot see,' he thought, as his senses failed to notice the surroundings.

"Status," he muttered, as a shimmering panel popped up in his dark vision.

'I lost my Slime#47 name… finally,' he mused, but he felt no joy—only emptiness.

"Wait… Remora…?" he yelled. "That fight… it must be."

He recalled how the dragon was missing after he'd returned to his senses.

"I still have my Eternal Mastery trait and Boundless Growth," he muttered. Those two were the most important.

'But my soul is still the same,' he frowned. 'And what the heck are actual zero stats… even slime's stats were great,' he thought, recalling how he had G‑ minimum even when he was born.

"No wonder… my body is failing to obey," he understood why he couldn't move. 'Dexterity is zero… zero.'

He quickly opened his skills panel. "Skills."

[ Skills

"All my skills are present," he checked the panel.

"Masteries…" He opened the masteries panel.

[ Masteries

… ]

'It might be the effect of Eternal Mastery… or this illusion allows me to keep them,' he thought, closing the panels.

He opened his eyes again. "Finally…"

His vision had adjusted now.

'Aura…' He noticed glowing crimson energy around him.

"Of course…the goblin lord is running faster than the speed of light," he muttered.

If his delicate body wasn't protected by the aura, he would've turned into blood-and-flesh paste in a moment.

He controlled the aura surrounding him and noticed the golden sun through the gaps of the Goblin Lord's arms.

'Even if it's not my aura… since it's gentle, I can control it,' he thought, as his Aura Mastery Tier 2 showed its power.

Boom!

Goblin Lord and Goblin Elder rushed forward hurriedly.

"I'm in a forest," he muttered, noticing the short grass on the ground and the large trees in between with open land.

He tried to turn his head to glance back, but it gained Goblin Dad's attention.

Goblin Dad said with a light smile, "What's wrong, baby…?"

He swayed the goblin baby left and right gently while grinning. "We are here… don't worry." He patted him lightly.

Both Goblin Dad and Goblin Elder still rushed faster than the speed of light.

"Lord, soon we will reach the center," Elder said, pointing in a straight direction.

"Humans… won't allow it so easily," Goblin Lord said codly.

As he'd expected, in the next moment, a loud, piercing, cold female shout echoed, "You stinky goblins—where are you running?"
