Slime Leveling [Litrpg, Timeloop]-Chapter 171—Heavy Iron rabbit
Goblin Lord glanced at the open windows; moonlight fell through them.
He stood up. "It's too late. Eat dinner and sleep."
He walked away, folding his hands behind his back.
Meanwhile, Giliberu still didn't know what the best choice was—save the kid or the old man.
His father's words hit him in the core.
Since he decided to build a safe place for his family and himself, one day he'd be a ruler. He must learn everything to be a proper king.
What the Goblin Lord instructed wasn't the problem. Everything seemed perfect, and that's what he found irritating.
'The choice of saving someone was dependent on their worth!' This annoyed him.
'Since both of them will be my citizens, how can I abandon one?' He patted his thighs, unable to make a decision.
Time ticked by as he sat like a rock, unmoving.
He returned to his senses when his eyes were shutting due to sleepiness.
He yawned, muttering, "In the end, everything comes to… power. Yes, found the answer."
He clenched his hands. "If I am strong...so what if he is worthless? So what if he provides no value? I'll save them both, since they'll be my citizens."
"I'll be a king who will never abandon his citizens," he declared, standing up.
He clearly disagreed with Goblin Lord's principles.
He went to the second room inside, filled with meat, fruits, and ice.
He took out a lump of meat along with a few fruits, quickly devoured them, and went to sleep, jumping onto his bed.
His house was quite small: three rooms—one living room mixed with a bedroom, another storage room, and the last very small one, a washroom.
He was surprised when he witnessed goblins constructing a proper drainage line.
Time ticked by—
The sun began rising with a hint of red hue and golden rays falling on the world.
Thud! Thud!
"Son, wake up. It's time to go hunting," The Goblin Lord's loud voice echoed through the room.
Giliberu opened his eyes with foggy vision. He rubbed his eyes, yawning.
He opened the door, and Goblin Lord pulled him out. "Let's go. It's time to hunt."
Giliberu nodded and quickly went back to pick up his heavy rod.
They departed from the goblin village along with all healthy goblins.
They divided into teams of fifty and spread out in different directions.
"Let's go to the east," Goblin Lord said, pointing toward the east of the hill.
Giliberu and the other goblins followed the Goblin Lord as they proceeded straight east.
After half an hour, Goblin Lord stopped, raising his arm.
He asked, "Son, do you find any difference here?"
He glared sternly at the other goblins, stopping them from speaking. 𝚏𝕣𝐞𝗲𝐰𝕖𝐛𝐧𝕠𝕧𝚎𝚕.𝐜𝚘𝗺
Giliberu glanced around. He was in an open field, with large trees in between, and slight grass growing on the ground.
He glanced at the trees to his right.
Among the many trees, one tree seemed odd to him.
'It looks like a tree but…' He couldn't understand. He tried to sense it. 'Feels normal; however, it feels off.'
He pointed his index finger at it and replied, "I think there's something over there."
"Not bad," Goblin Lord nodded.
Whoosh!—he threw a long spear, taking it from his magic pouch, which was strapped to his chest.
Puck!
A sharp sound rang out as the spear pierced a soft object.
The tree vanished as a small orange fox, with the spear sticking out straight through its chest, became visible.
The fox flung a few meters back and hit the tree along with the spear.
It was impaled to the tree, its body hanging lifeless from the sharp spear.
Goblin Lord patted Giliberu, grinning. "It's a Dream Fox, which can create illusions and use dangerous soul spells."
"Not bad," a nearby goblin kid praised.
A goblin, which had leaves sticking to healed injuries, said, raising his thumb, "Nice."
'I need to acquire detection spells,' Giliberu mused, not caring about them. "If it's a frontal battle, I can defend myself—but if it's a sneak attack, their soul attacks would rush in directly to the soul dimension."
"Let's go on, son." Goblin Lord picked up the spear from the tree and put the dead body of the fox into his storage pouch.
They proceeded forward.
Soon, they came across a rabbit.
'Did it hit the gym?' Giliberu thought, clicking his tongue.
A white, two-meter-tall rabbit with a muscular body—eight abs, crimson eyes, veins popping around its body, standing on its two feet—appeared in front of them.
The rabbit spotted them and narrowed its eyes as a glint of red flashed in them.
Goblin Lord raised his arm, stopping everyone.
"Son—go. Kill it," he ordered.
Giliberu nodded. He picked up his rod from his back, then used his skill, "Appraisal!"

"It's level 41," Giliberu clicked his tongue.
"You can do it, young lord,"
"Be careful,"
The goblins nearby cheered him.
"Reinforced Body!" he muttered, advancing toward the rabbit—while it curled its biceps.
Bang!
The rabbit's fist collided with Giliberu's rod.
The rod glowed with a crimson-red aura, and the rabbit's arm glowed with the same crimson aura.
Boom!
Both of them fell back, separating.
Giliberu frowned. 'I really miss my Demonic Surge skill,' he thought.
He spun the rod in his palm.
"Heavy Staff…" he muttered, as his rod erupted with a high amount of crimson energy.
'Hmm… more,' he mused, as the rod became heavier and heavier in his palm.
Whoosh!—he dashed forward, lunged at the rabbit, and yelled, "Heavy Strike!"
The rabbit didn't back off. It yelled back, in a middle-aged human male voice, "Bi-Aura Fist!"
The knuckles of the rabbit's right fist glowed with two layers of red energy as fist and rod collided.
Bang!
"Ahhh!" The rabbit roared as it kept pumping massive amounts of aura.
Giliberu calmly controlled his flow of aura while floating in midair—using the rabbit's fist and his rod as leverage.
