Slowly Falling into His Love Trap-Chapter 224: Seize the Chance, Get Back at Him
Evelyn glanced at Cecilia, then at Julian, and asked softly, "You two..."
"No!" Cecilia refuted vehemently, "Evelyn, don’t overthink it. I have nothing to do with him! We’ve only met a few times!"
Caden remained silent, accepting the red envelopes from both Julian and Cecilia, with a hurried sternness flashing in his eyes.
Evelyn looked over at Caden again. She actually didn’t want to accept Cecilia’s red envelope.
But, why did she feel that Caden’s intention wasn’t to accept the envelope, but to verify something.
Verify... something between Cecilia and Julian?
It didn’t seem like Cecilia explained, having nothing to do with Julian.
Clearly, there was a significant connection!
Julian, feeling defeated, could only sit down, irritated by the slip of words he’d unconsciously uttered earlier.
Cecilia distanced herself from Julian, find herself neither coming nor going, burying her head, uncertain how to break the deadlock.
"Um..." Evelyn tentatively spoke up, "Is it okay to serve the dishes now?"
Caden nodded, instructing the waiter to bring out all the dishes, then asked Evelyn, "Is there anything else you’d like to eat?"
"There’s plenty!" Evelyn gave a small smile, "There’s so much, we’ll waste if we can’t finish it!"
As she said this, Evelyn looked at Cecilia again, "Eat more! You need energy to work!"
Cecilia nodded with a smile, but felt no appetite for the meat dishes on the table.
She was already tormented by the ten meat dishes Julian had ordered.
And Evelyn, still oblivious, kept adding meat to Cecilia’s bowl.
Chicken wings, roast pork, all the dishes Cecilia usually liked, were being piled into her bowl.
"Evelyn, I can do it myself." Cecilia grimaced, "I can’t eat this much."
"You can!" Evelyn spoke sincerely, "Eat with no reserve!"
Cecilia’s lips curled awkwardly, hearing Julian’s laughter beside her, her ears turned red.
It seemed like Julian had found someone to help him bully her!
"Girls should eat more meat if they’re too thin," Julian said, continuing to add meat to Cecilia’s bowl, "We’re all friends here, no need to be shy about eating."
Cecilia turned her head, glaring at Julian, noticing the tease in his eyes, she stomped her foot in frustration.
He clearly knew seeing meat made her nauseous right now, yet he still provoked her!
Caden ate his meal leisurely, occasionally glancing at Julian and Cecilia, his deep eyes increasingly intensified.
Cecilia struggled to refuse, looking at the meat piled in her bowl again, and faced Evelyn’s eager eyes that worried she’d starve. If she said she didn’t want to eat meat, Evelyn would certainly overthink, believing she was being neglected.
Cecilia’s face paled; there truly existed using "eating meat" as punishment!
"I just finished breakfast, I’m not very hungry yet." Cecilia found an excuse, "I can’t finish it."
"If you can’t finish, then don’t." Evelyn understandingly replied.
Cecilia nodded, discreetly glared at Julian, and thought that she’d get him good when she had the chance!
Having drunk too much juice, Evelyn couldn’t hold it in, rushing to the restroom to relieve herself. 𝐟𝐫𝕖𝗲𝘄𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝕧𝐞𝚕.𝕔𝕠𝐦
Caden raised an eyebrow, glanced at Julian, and followed her to the restroom.
The private room was left with Julian and Cecilia alone, there was a moment of silence, the air mixed with a peculiar heaviness.
"Do you need to run when you see me?" Julian, clearly fed up with the situation, "Cecilia, you’re getting bolder these days?"
