Chapter 178 - 78

His first stop was Diagon Alley. Harry wore a cap to hide his scar"at least for a while.

He took the lead with firm steps, guiding Lupin toward Gringotts. He needed to retrieve his wand as soon as possible and acquire a few useful items. School supplies could wait.

"Harry... the truth is, I don't have much money. I don't understand why we came here," said Lupin, a little embarrassed.

"You should know my father left me a great fortune. Don't worry, I'll use my own money. Besides, you need new clothes if you're going to show up in front of the Weasleys," Harry replied calmly, not slowing his pace.

Lupin tried to protest, but Harry didn't even turn around to listen. He walked as if he didn't care what Lupin had to say.

At the entrance, a goblin greeted them. Upon seeing Harry and the ragged man beside him, his expression showed clear disdain.

"What do you want?" he asked, scornfully.

"I want to access my vault, but I don't have my key. I'm requesting a blood test to regain access. The cost can be deducted from my family account," Harry said calmly, ignoring the goblin's attitude.

The goblin stared at him for a few seconds before pointing to a door behind him.

"Go through there. Another goblin will assist you," he said, turning his gaze away with no further interest.

Harry walked forward with determination, followed by Lupin, who couldn't help but wonder how he knew all of this... though he didn't dare ask out loud.

Upon crossing the door, another goblin immediately greeted them.

"Who needs the blood test?" he asked impatiently, as if eager to get rid of them.

"I do. I'm Harry Potter... Flam... Harry James Potter," he corrected himself quickly.

"Harry Potter?" the goblin repeated, looking at him closely before glancing at his forehead. The cap hid the scar, so Harry removed it to show him.

"Very well. Prick your finger and drop a bit of blood here," said the goblin, handing him a golden dagger and a parchment.

Harry obeyed without hesitation. As soon as a drop of blood touched the paper, it was absorbed, and words began to appear in magical ink:

The goblin widened his eyes, impressed by the results. There was more than he had expected.

"I'm not interested in the others for now. Just my family's," Harry said, wiping his finger with a napkin he pulled from his pocket.

After a few minutes, the goblin returned with a new key and handed it to Harry.

Then both of them went down to the vault, from which they withdrew several hundred galleons. Harry also bought a bag with an undetectable extension charm.

On their way out, he pushed Lupin into a wizarding clothing shop. Thanks to a few cleaning spells, he no longer smelled bad, but he still looked like a vagabond. That needed to change.

Meanwhile, Harry headed to Ollivander's.

"Oh... you must be a new student coming for your wand," said the old man, eyeing Harry's cap as he tried to remember where he had seen him before.

"Holly and phoenix feather. Eleven inches. Supple," Harry said confidently.

"Excuse me?"

"My wand," Harry added plainly.

"Ha... It's good that you have an idea, but remember, it's not the wizard who chooses the wand... the wand chooses the wizard," Ollivander replied with a slight, smug smile.

"Then try that one," Harry said without being fazed.

Ollivander frowned and searched for the wand Harry had described. He placed it in front of him, ready to prove him wrong.

But the moment Harry took it, a golden glow lit up the entire shop. It was as if the wand was happy to be back in his hands.

"Well... seems you were right," said Ollivander, surprised.

Harry left seven galleons on the counter"the exact price"and walked out to buy what he needed to carve runes himself.

"Wait! You didn't tell me your name!" Ollivander shouted before he left.

"Harry Potter," Harry replied without turning back.

Ollivander stood still, staring at the empty box.

"Interesting..." he murmured, before storing it beneath the counter.

...

Lupin, now elegantly dressed"well-fitted suit, trimmed hair, clean shave"entered the rune engraving shop where Harry had said he'd be. He felt awkward in the new clothes, especially since Harry had paid for them.

He found him at an engraving table, working on a bracelet with glowing runes Lupin didn't recognize.

"Looks like it suits you," Harry said, looking up just as he finished carving the last rune.

The inscription emitted a faint golden glow, unlike any magic Lupin had seen before. Harry slipped the bracelet onto his wrist. It had a hidden compartment for his wand.

Then, with a snap of his fingers, a dagger of light appeared in his hand, startling Lupin.

"Not as perfect as the ones Stephen or Tony make, but it works," Harry said before making it disappear.

"What... what are those runes? And that magic? You summoned without a wand?"

"They're runes that convert magic into Vishanti energy. With that, you can use Eldritch magic. No wand needed"just the runes. But using it with a wand boosts it several times. I don't have enough magical power yet for big spells, but it's useful in emergencies."

"Vishanti? Eldritch?"

"It's a long story," Harry said with a smile.

"Well, now that everything's ready... let's eat. I'm starving. Then we'll head to the Burrow. By the way, did you send the letters I asked for?"

"Yes... though I think warning Dumbledore would be wiser. After all, he is""

"No. It's better to surprise him. Don't worry," Harry interrupted calmly.

...

Knock, knock, knock.

Molly Weasley was busy with household chores when she heard the knocks on the door. The noise in the house continued, with Ron yelling about something.

"Fred, George, stop bothering your brother!" she shouted as she approached the entrance.

When she opened the door, she saw a young man dressed in elegant, high-fashion clothing. Despite his slender build, he had a noble demeanor, and his gaze was calm. Behind him, an older man seemed to be accompanying him, as if he were his servant.

Molly's expression hardened slightly. The Weasleys didn't have a good relationship with "pure-bloods."

"What do you need?" she asked, her voice protective.

"Sorry, Mrs. Weasley. We're looking for your husband, Arthur. I'm Harry Potter," the young man said with a friendly smile.

Molly's eyes widened in surprise. Her gaze immediately moved to his forehead, where the iconic scar was visible.

"Of course... come in, come in," she said, still stunned.

As Harry and Lupin entered, Harry looked around nostalgically at the warm and welcoming environment. He remembered well the days he spent there"the hugs, the laughter... the feeling of home.

"Sorry if the place seems small," Molly said, noticing his gaze.

"Don't worry, ma'am. I lived in a cupboard under the stairs until now," Harry replied with a calmness that froze the witch.

"What...?"

"Well. Sorry to insist, but we need to speak with your husband," Harry said again, now serious.

"Ah, right, sorry.

"Arthur! Come down now! We have an important guest!" Molly shouted, showing some nerves in her voice.

Arthur quickly came downstairs with a letter in hand. It seemed like he had just read the letter Lupin had sent him.

"Hello, you must be Harry Potter. Nice to meet you," Arthur said, shaking Harry's hand, who greeted him with a friendly smile.

"Nice to meet you, Mr. Weasley. Please, we need to get straight to the point as I don't want my godfather spending another day in Azkaban," Harry said, immediately becoming serious.

Arthur suddenly felt as though he were standing in front of his boss, so he straightened up instinctively... until he realized how absurd that was: he was standing in front of a child, not his superior.

"Are you sure that information is correct? Could it be a mistake?" Arthur asked hurriedly.

"We'll just see. And if we're wrong, we'll apologize for any inconvenience we may cause," Harry replied, with a fixed look that made Arthur hesitate.

"Ahem... alright," Arthur said, swallowing hard.

"Ron! Come down for a moment and bring Scabbers!" he shouted up the stairs.

After a few seconds of noise and hurried footsteps, Ron appeared with an annoyed expression, carrying his rat in his hands. But upon seeing such a well-dressed visitor, he froze, fearing that he'd been called for causing trouble with some wealthy client during his school shopping.

"Hello, Ron. My name is Harry. I think we'll be classmates this year," Harry said calmly, looking at him with a smile. Technically, they weren't best friends yet.

"H-hi..." Ron stammered, a little worried.

Meanwhile, the rat in his hands quickly glanced at Harry and the person behind him. It became visibly nervous, as if it wanted to hide within Ron's clothes.

Harry, with a simple wave of his hand, summoned his wand from thin air.

"If you don't mind, could you let go of the rat for a few seconds?" he asked in a calm but cold voice, as icy as the chill of winter.

Ron felt an extreme nervousness, as if not obeying meant his end. Reflexively, he immediately released the rat.

And it tried to escape as soon as it touched the floor. It knew it had been discovered. Especially seeing how Lupin was staring at it, completely shocked.

Then, a magical circle appeared in one of Harry's hands, while his wand was ready in the other.

Several chains of light shot up from the floor and ceiling, trapping the rat and lifting it slightly off the ground.

Harry pointed his wand and cast a spell with a blue hue.

It was like watching a sped-up movie of a tree growing. A head shot up from the ground; limbs sprouted; the next moment, a man stood where Scabbers had been, shrinking and twisting his hands.

The chains tightened, securing him completely. He couldn't move, and his gaze, filled with terror, locked on Harry, who had captured him with total ease. His expression remained cold, almost deadly.

This surprised all the adults present in the room.

"Well... looks like I wasn't wrong, right, Lupin?" Harry said, returning to his calm smile from earlier.

Lupin stared at him for a few seconds before turning to Peter Pettigrew.

"Peter... all this time you were alive..." Lupin murmured, a mix of sadness and memories from the past filling his gaze.

"Remus, it's not what you think. I was just hiding from him... from Sirius. He wanted to kill me! I was a traitor! A follower of Voldemort!" Pettigrew cried out desperately.

"Ah... always trying to lie to save yourself.

Don't worry, the Aurors will get the truth from the bottom of your mind if necessary," Harry said, looking at him with a mix of mockery and disdain.

At that moment, several sounds of Apparition were heard outside the Weasley house. Seconds later, someone knocked on the door.

Molly, still coming out of her shock, went to open it.

"Hello, Mrs. Weasley. Sorry for arriving like this, but I received a very specific letter," said Amelia Bones as she entered, her gaze quickly scanning the room before settling on the chained man in the center.

"Looks like you arrived just in time," Harry said, nodding slightly to Amelia. He knew her because she was Stephen's boss. "Hello, Mrs. Bones. It's good you came yourself. If the Minister had come, it's certain he would have tried to hide everything," Harry added, with mockery in his voice.
