Sovereign of the Ashes-Chapter 1051: God of First Light
Chapter 1051: God of First Light
Sein’s Flame Demon shapeshifting ability had evolved significantly over the centuries.
His in-depth study of Purgatory demon bloodlines had allowed him to continuously refine and strengthen the Flame Demon bloodline within him.
Moreover, by incorporating the Purgatory Flame, a fire imbued with special laws, Sein’s Flame Demon form had grown even more powerful.
The Purgatory Flame was perfectly attuned to demonic attributes.
Anyone observing the flaming wings on Sein’s back would immediately notice the overwhelming pyro elemental energy coursing through them.
Though Sein’s focus and mana levels had not yet reached demigod level by the Magus World’s standards, the sheer burst potential of his power—combined with his understanding of laws—allowed him to temporarily wield the strength of a demigod.
Below him, the burning estate illuminated the night, its raging inferno blending harmoniously with the Flame Demon hovering in the sky.
The devastation of the estate mirrored the brutality inherent in Purgatory Demons.
Yet, despite the terrifying ambush, the estate’s defenses reacted swiftly.
All across the manor, layers of translucent white protective barriers flickered into existence.
These were the divine energy shields raised by the clerics under the God of First Light’s command.
At the same time, templars emerged from the ruins.
Many had fallen during the initial bombardment of magic cannons, but those who survived—fueled by unyielding devotion—rose once more from the rubble.
The Magus Civilization had long viewed faith-based civilizations with veiled contempt, but from a practical standpoint, such civilizations possessed remarkable strengths of their own.
Among all the planes of the Astral Realm that the Magus Civilization had encountered, faith-based governing systems were the most prevalent.
Some of these god-worshipping civilizations had developed power rivaling even the Magus Civilization itself.
As Sein descended into the estate in his Flame Demon form, an intense battle had already erupted along the perimeter.
Despite their small numbers, Ronaldo and his group charged forward with unstoppable momentum, bolstered by nearly a hundred plant giants.
Sein had explicitly warned his team that overusing these magic cannons carried a serious risk—they could overload and detonate.
Yet, Ronaldo did not seem to care about his own safety at all.
His massive ax still hung on his back, while two pitch-black cannons remained firmly mounted on his shoulders, never once ceasing their relentless barrage!
These magic cannons, crafted by Sein, fired projectiles with firepower nearing the destructive range of Rank Three creatures with every shot.
As Ronaldo charged forward, his cannons blazing, he unleashed more raw destruction in mere moments than even Flynn, a mage by profession, could manage.
With Ronaldo leading the assault, backed by nearly a hundred plant giants, including two Rank Three creatures, they breached the estate’s perimeter.
The moment they crossed into enemy territory, they clashed against God of First Light’s followers.
As expected, there were Epic Beings among the God of First Light’s believers.
As a member of the Justice League, and one favored by its upper echelons, the God of First Light was far wealthier than the unfortunate God of Brute Force.
Beyond the three Epic Beings who emerged in succession to counter the assault, a terrified Legendary-level white dragon suddenly burst from the ruins of the manor.
Dragons were naturally superior to creatures of the same level, and this peak Legendary white dragon, with a wingspan exceeding thirty meters, could already contend with Epic Beings in battle.
To make matters worse, on its back sat an Epic-level templar, wielding a dragon lance.
Together, their combined power was more than just double!
Sein was momentarily caught off guard by the sight of the foreign dragon knight.
In the Magus World, the Byrne Empire was home to the legendary Dragon Knight Army, widely recognized as the most formidable knight legion in existence.
Compared to the Byrne Empire’s elite dragon knights, these Faelorian templars were clearly amateurs.
Although this dragon-rider pair managed to present an imposing display, they were ultimately outclassed by their opponent.
Despite the chaos Ronaldo and his forces had unleashed on the manor’s outskirts, it was Sein himself who remained the true, overwhelming threat.
Just as Sein had locked onto God of First Light’s location, the core defenders of the estate had also set their sights on the approaching Flame Demon Lord.
Two Epic-level templars, along with a group of men, moved toward the outskirts of the manor to engage the plant giants led by Flynn, Ronaldo, and the others.
Meanwhile, the Epic-level dragon knight and cleric remained behind, leading the rest of their forces as they awaited Sein’s arrival at the manor’s center.
Sure enough, deep within the estate, something unusual was at play.
The God of First Light was a deity who honored light and the first glimmer of dawn, yet he had excavated the manor’s underground level, expanding it into a hidden temple.
Contrary to expectations, the temple hall was not shrouded in darkness. Instead, its opulent grandeur, infused with sacred lumen elemental energy, made it appear brighter than the surface itself.
The combined strength of a Rank Three dragon knight and cleric had managed to temporarily halt Sein’s advance, but he paid them little mind.
His true focus was fixed on the center of the temple.
The magic cannon barrage from earlier had undoubtedly struck the temple deep within the manor, but the divine power barrier had absorbed most of the impact, minimizing the damage.
Aside from minor structural damage, the temple remained largely intact.
From within its sacred hall, a man in a white robe emerged.
This white-robed figure seemed to embody every ideal of perfection—holy, handsome, powerful—a stark contrast to the God of Brute Force, whom Sein had once encountered and dismissed as insignificant.
Here stood a being of true divinity, a Faelorian human who had ascended to godhood.
In fact, many of the gods of the Justice League had once been mortals of human origin.
As the great being stepped forward, the believers and warriors who had been locked in battle immediately lowered their heads in reverence.
Even the injured and dying, struggling among the ruins, forgot their pain at the sight of their divine protector.
One by one, tears streamed down their faces as they cried out in praise, exalting the object of their faith.
“So, you are the heretical creature that entered our Faeloria two hundred years ago?”
The white-robed man gazed up at Sein calmly, who was hovering in the sky.
With a graceful wave of his right hand, the weakened survivors trapped beneath the rubble were lifted to safety.
It was no mystery why the Temples of the First Light and the Justice League had flourished over the years.
At least, the Justice League’s deities were far more benevolent to their followers compared to the gods of other factions.
Sein had witnessed firsthand how the Church of Bones had harvested necromantic materials from its own followers upon his arrival in Faeloria.
It was no wonder the Dark Alliance was branded as “Evil”, while the Justice League proclaimed itself the champion of “Order”.
The God of First Light’s divine display only deepened the fanaticism of those around him.
Even the low-ranking templars, who were clearly no match for Sein, tightened their grip on their weapons.
As long as the light of their god shone upon them, they knew no fear!
“Oh? You actually recognize me?”
Still in his Flame Demon form, Sein curled his lips into a sinister smile.
It was not intentional—but in this demonic form, no matter how he smiled, it was impossible for him to look even remotely “friendly”.
