Eisen guided Aaron through the building, right to the rooms that each of the envoys were going to stay in. Of course, they were each given a private room that was filled with whatever they would need. There was a small distance between each group of rooms, so that the different countries' envoys could have a bit more privacy.

Of course, the envoys from the giants' country were going to be staying in the other east wing, while this was the west wing.

Each of the envoys entered their rooms to take a brief look around, and their servant soon placed their belongings inside for them. Aaron quickly came back out, "That is quite luxurious for the space," he pointed out, and Eisen replied with a laugh.

"I guess so. If there's one thing we don't need to hold out on it's luxury," the old man said bluntly, and Aaron immediately nodded.

"That seems to be quite clear. Once again, that 'train' was truly... a marvel, was it not? Could I ask, how did you create it?" Aaron asked, before catching himself in his question, "Oh, I apologise... I did not mean to ask you to divulge that information, it was merely true curiosity."

Eisen shook his head, happy to hear Aaron's honest interest, "No, no, don't worry. It is quite a relief to hear you be so excited about it. We are currently working on integrating the railway network into our whole country. Truthfully, the idea of you being interested in it is quite calming."

"It is immensely interesting, your Majesty! Do you think it would be possible for Litgern to develop something similar?"

Eisen raised his brows. This was going much better than he had hoped already, though he should have expected this from Aaron, anyway. He always had a good eye for these things, and Eisen was pretty sure that Komer told him a bit more about it as well to show just how big a change the integration of the train would be.

And if Litgern, a leader in commerce and development in the central continent, started making use of trains, then others would be incredibly interested to follow suit. Right now, most of the envoys could only report the concept, but a prince was in a position to report and suggest something like the train much more easily.

And if Aaron spoke of the train highly during some gatherings with the other envoys, then that would only increase the importance of it in their minds as well.

"I can do you one better," Eisen replied, "I can teach your country how to create the exact ones that we have built. It would be a rather big transaction, but we generally don't have anything against selling you the blueprints." freeωebnovēl.c૦m

Aaron's eyes widened as Komer let out a slight groan. Eisen understood what Komer was thinking; the fact that Eisen showed his willingness so clearly would make it harder to drive up the purchase price of the blueprints.

And while Eisen would like to use the train to create a stronger relationship between Asgard and all the countries of the central continent, he really wasn't looking for profit here. He just wanted the idea of the train to spread throughout this world.

The prince excitedly looked up at the old man, struggling to contain his excitement, "Are you sure? That would be even more amazing, your Majesty! Please, let us-"

"Don't worry," Eisen stopped Aaron, "There's no need for us to discuss it here. That's not your reason for being here, anyway. Please, focus on the treaty with the giants."

Aaron pulled back, realising that his behavior was unbecoming of the situation he was in, "Of course, my apologies!"

"If there is some downtime, I can show you around the train station, if you would like. But any deeper conversations, planning, and especially something like a sale of the blueprints, will only happen later. Rather, we will come to you ourselves so that we can show the train to the people of your countries."

Aaron's brows immediately shot up, "Countries? So, your intention is to sell the train to other parties as well?"

Eisen let out a loud laugh, "Caught me there. Yes, that is my plan. Why would I keep something as wonderful as the train to myself?"

Aaron smiled lightly, "In that case, would you mind being a bit more light with the price we have to pay?"

"Aaaah!" Komer quickly stepped inbetween the two, "That is going too far! Aaron, you know I'm not going to let that happen, and Eisen, please shut-"

Eisen raised his brow with a smirk on his face, looking down at the young man, who carefully continued speaking, "... p-please be quiet..."

"Don't worry, Aaron is a friend. I'm not going to try and pull one over on him."

"Well, we're not pulling one over on Aaron personally. We're pulling one over on the nobles of Litgern."

Aaron narrowed his eyes, looking at the merchant before speaking up hesitantly, "I don't... I don't know what to think about that."

"Then don't think about that and just completely ignore it!" Komer suggested, before looking back at Eisen, "Now, there are some more things I would like to talk to you about. Do you mind?"

Eisen looked at Aaron, "Let us continue this later. For now, please recover from the journey. We will be holding a banquet later tonight, but if you feel hungry before then, please just let someone here know and we can prepare something for you. That includes your servants as well, of course," the old man said, looking at the maids and butlers that were standing by near them.

Aaron nodded, "Of course, thank you very much, your Majesty. Thank you for your hospitality, and arranging this meeting in the first place. It was also a pleasure to meet you, your Majesty's consort," Aaron bowed to Kirisho, and she returned a slow nod.

"Likewise, prince," she replied, and the prince made his way back into his room. The old man then turned back to Komer.

"Alright, let's go somewhere we can talk properly," the old man said, and him, Kirisho, and Komer quickly made their way to the meeting room. It was still closed off for the guards and servants, so the only ones in here were the other originals just lounging around.

"Yoo, Komer! How's it going, kid?" Brody yelled out with a wave as they entered the room. He had thrown his feet onto the large table, and Eisen clicked his tongue as he looked at his friend. Experience new stories on m v|l e'-novelbuddy.net

"Sit down properly, you're going to wrinkle the suit," the old man said, but Brody just scoffed with a very obvious shrug.

"So what? Is anyone gonna tell me even if they're bothered by it?"

"Yes. Me. I'm bothered by it. So please, sit down properly," Eisen replied, and Brody just let out a long, deep sigh as he pulled his feet from the table. He stood up slightly for a moment to straighten out his shirt and jacket, and then sat down on his seat agian.

"Happy?"

"Happier than before," the old man pointed out, as he sat down on his own reserved seat. The other originals would only be here to receive the envoys and during the more casual gatherings, so Brody and the others were each seated on a random chair. But Eisen had a dedicated seat, as he would be acting as the moderator of the treaty meeting, guiding it along properly.

Komer just sat down on one of the other nearby chairs, and Kirisho sat down on the chair closest to Eisen's.

"So, how was the trip? How did you find the train?" Xenia asked curiously, and Komer immediately turned to her with a broad smile.

"It was wonderful! I've ridden in trains before, but this was even more comfortable," he pointed out, and Xenia smugly nodded her head.

"Perfect. Correct opinion," she said with her arms crossed, and Eisen smiled as he looked at the merchant.

"Alright, before the giants arrive. You said you had something to tell us."

"...Right," Komer sighed loudly, "I don't have proof or anything, it's more of a gut-feeling. But... I don't think the Holy Empire has any intention of truly aiming for a peace treaty."

"Well, of course, we kind of knew that already," Evalia pointed out, "They're going to cause a mess, but it's not like they can go against the giant country on their own. They're completely landlocked."

"Yes, but... it's more than that. I think they want to cause an incident to directly incite a war, one way or another."
