SpiderGwen: I have a system?!-Chapter 158 - : The Super Collider and Truth

[3rd POV]

Swinging through the streets of New York, Gwen felt her senses flair as the world around her began to shake and quiver. Reality began to warp and glitch, as the buildings around her started to...change, various colors and shapes overtaking their forms, as screams ripped from the various citizens of New York, as the world began to end.

'Looks like the idiot started the Collider. Meaning I'm pretty damn late' Gwen thought, the glitching was a product of the collider being activated, and meant that the world was likely at risk of being well...destroyed. Beyond that, it could even end in the destruction of this entire universe, so that was...not good.

She knew that something new was waiting for her there, otherwise the system wouldn't give her such a big reward. More than that, it was likely she would find out why she was taken here in the first place, as whatever it was...it probably wasn't good.

Swinging to the building that Kingpin had his super collider under, he was doing some sort of party for the Spiderman of this universe, a memorial for him to remember him for his accomplishments, even though he was a part of why the man died in the first place.

Landing onto the roof of the building, she crawled through the glass opening, crawling on the inside roof. She noticed that Kingpin was already gone from the room, meaning that the team was likely fighting it out with Doc Ock, Scorpion, and Tombstone, all of which had never ended up in prison, thanks to Kingpin pulling strings.

Crawling to the ground, she went invisible and began to walk through the hallways of the building, as it shook, glitching out as New York began to glitch more and more. Finding the door that would lead to the super collider, she walked through, before breaking into a sprint so that she could get there as fast as possible, as whatever the change was, it'd be down there, that was for sure.

Standing on top of pillars across from the main part of the super collider, her eyes widened as she stared down.

The beams were colliding with one another, shaking the room, as she noticed the others fighting with Tombstone, Doc Ock, and Scorpion. It wasn't this that caught her attention, but the sight she was given when gazing into the beams.

Visions swirled in her vision, as she saw image after image, thousands of them passing through her skull at a constant pace, as she breathed out 'The Web of Life and Destiny...they truly are connected now, both my Multiverse and this one, so intricately that it's possible to travel from one multiverse to the other. But...only for one person...me. I'm the totem of over a dozen Spiders, all of them already connected to the Webs of both multiverses, but now...now it's almost like it purposely sought me out'

'If I'm connected to both of them, and the collider is a doorway, then that means...that's why the Web called me here. Because if this collider were to go off, it wouldn't just destroy this universe or beyond, but it would allow beings from my Multiverse to invade this one, or the opposite. It would...it would be the end of both of them' Gwen thought, realization hitting her.

'But what being would want to jump to this universe?' Gwen thought, frowning as she knew there were...many that would, but she only had a few in mind, all of which were...well beyond her at the moment, entities that were trapped for a reason, for they could end the entire multiverse if they were to be released, and any one of them could atomize her from existence.

'Whatever being it is, it doesn't matter, I have to stop this' Gwen decided, before swinging in, as buildings, items, and objects from the other spiders universes began to manifest, as they fought around it.

Launching herself, she slammed a kick against Scorpions face, launching him against the wall of a building that rotated throughout the building, and putting him into unconsciousness.

"Gwen! You're here!" Miles said, swinging down to her as Gwen smirked underneath her mask.

"I knew you could do it kid. Now, are you all ready to get the hell out of-" Gwen stopped as her senses flared, her eyes widening webs came out of her fingertips, gripping her fellow spiders and launching them away, as she threw them onto other buildings and objects.

Staring forward, her eyes turned serious as she heard the laughter of Kingpin far away "Good luck beating them Spider! You're not the only ones who appeared in this universe!" Kingpin laughed, as Gwen stared forward, as Six figures appeared on the other end of the building she was standing on.

"Give up Spider, you got no chance against us" A tall man rumbled, his deep voice echoing in the area. A large grey armor covering his form, as Gwen knew who he was. For this man was...The Rhino.

"Sorry Spider, but the big guy promised to bring my daughter back, and I can't pass that up" Another voice echoed, as sand began to swirl around the building they were standing on, as a man formed from it. For this man was...The Sandman.

"I got promised all the cash in the world! And who doesn't love some cash?" A voice echoed, as lightning sparked around her, her eyes hardening as another man formed. For this man was...Electro.

"You certainly aren't Peter Parker, but your death shall appease me nonetheless, for I am superior!" Another voice called out, as a man crawled on four tentacles. For this man was...Doctor Otto Octavius, also known as Doctor Octopus.

"Gahahahaha! It's an itsy bitsy Spider! I can't wait to watch you die!" A high pitched voice echoed, as Gwen looked above, as a man in a green suit flew in on a high tech glider. For this man was...The Green Goblin.

And finally, a man with red hair stood, staring at her with a wide grin "So you're the one we've gotta kill? We can't wait, for...-" The man paused, as his grin widened, red goop traveled over his form, and he, no...they, finished their sentence.

"LET...THERE...BE...CARNAAAAAAGE"

Gwen breathed in, as her own symbiotes began to form around her, covering her form, as her eyes hardened, as she stared upon...The Sinister Six.

Looking back to the others who were pale, she said "Don't interfere, take care of the others. I've got these guys" Gwen said simply, not letting them even reply, as her hand shot out, catching a pumpkin bomb and throwing it back towards the group, as it exploded next to them.

"You fool! Don't throw those damned things in a space like this one!" Otto snarled to Green Goblin who huffed.

Looking them over, Gwen breathed in a deep breath, as bio-electricity curled around her, and with no hesitation, she moved in a burst of speed, towards the 6 of them, as Rhino charged towards her.

"Big mistake Spider!" Rhino roared, as he charged towards her as she moved closer.

Wasting no time, she slid underneath the man, and kicked upwards with all her might, launching him up, as she backflipped out of the way of a blast of lightning, and rotated away from Carnage, before a large symbiote fist slammed against the being, launching it back with a growl.

'He needs to go first' Gwen thought, her eyes rapidly glancing at them all, as black webs flew towards Green Goblin, who moved out of the way, only for her to launch another 4 towards him from her fingertips as he snarled.

"You damned SPIDER!" Green Goblin roared in anger, as he threw a pumpkin bomb towards her, only for it to be launched back at him, as his eyes widened.

"Ah...crap" He grumbled, as the explosion hit him directly, as he was thrown off his glider, into the beam below them.

'There's the weakest one down' Gwen thought, before jumping back as a robotic tentacle slammed against where she was standing a moment later, a blast of lightning following up soon after, as Sands began to build up, trying to hold her down, only for lightning to arc around her, zapping it, turning it into glass in a moment, as she dodged all the attacks.

'He's next' Gwen thought, deciding to focus on Sandman, as she moved towards his humanoid form in a burst of speed, knowing that he had very little sand, meaning all she had to do was turn him into glass, and throw his form into the beam.

And that is exactly what she managed to do, as Carnage roared and attempted to attack her, only for Gwen to web a nearby car and throw it into the creature, launching it back into a wall as the car exploded on it, roars of pain echoing as an explosion hit it square on.

Planting a singular palm of bio-electricity on the man, he screamed in pain, as his form began to turn to glass, giving her the perfect moment to plant a kick against his stomach, launching him back, and onto the beam.

At the same time, the rest of the team had taken out Tombstone, and were now focused on Scorpion and the other Doc Ock, while Gwen turned back to Electro, Rhino, Doc Ock, and Carnage, who was recovering.

'Doc Ock and Rhino are next' Gwen thought, as the Rhino once again charged towards her, not being the brightest person in the room, as she cocked a fist back, full of bio-electricity, before slamming it into his chest, a boom of lightning launching him back, and into the beam, sending him back to where he came.

A moment later, a tentacle launched towards her, as she grinned underneath her mask, catching it with her hands, holding it tight. Slowly black goop began to travel over it, as her Symbiote began to consume and assimilate the tentacle.

"STOP HER YOU FOOLS!" Doc Ock screeched as Electro blasted her with lightning, only for her to grunt slightly in pain, ignoring it as Doc Ock screamed, trying to get the symbiote off, as Carnage launched towards her.

Sadly for the creature, it was too little, too late, as four tentacles burst from her back, 2 of them slamming against the Symbiote, and holding it back against a wall, as the other two launched from over her shoulders, slamming against Doc Ock, sending him into the Beam as he screamed in pain.

"Fuck!" Electro screamed, as Gwen glanced to the side, her eyes widening as a small smirk formed on her face.

"Sorry sparky, but it's time for you to short circuit!" Gwen yelled, as she webbed what looked to be a water tower, launching it towards the man as his eyes widened.

"Ah...I'm fucked" He whimpered, as the water tower slammed against him, water short circuiting him, and launching him down into the beam, the water tower following along with him.

Turning back to Carnage, she stared the creature down as she now understood why the quest was harder 'That is definitely not a normal Carnage. If my assumption is right, then he's consumed the Venom, Toxin, and around two dozen other symbiotes from his universe. Too bad he's up against me...' Gwen thought, as she roasted away from a sharp blade of symbiote flying towards her.

'And too bad I want that symbiote!' Gwen thought with a grin, as she bolted towards him, bio-electrictricity allowing her to reappear in front of him but a moment's notice, as a bio-electricity filled punch slammed against his large form, launching back against a wall as he attempted to recover, only for four bioelectric infused symbiote tentacles to hold his limbs back, as he screeched in pain.

"You know I'd feel bad for this but...I don't like you" Gwen said out loud, as he symbiote shot out of her, as she watched in satisfaction as it fought, defeated, and consumed the "Superior Carnage" symbiote.

Watching as Cletus dropped to the ground unconscious, she sighed and picked him up, before throwing him over the edge into the beam.

'I understand now why the system made this so rewarding. That Carnage...it was trying to do what it's counterpart in 616 did...'

'...Knull, it was trying to connect Knull to this place' Gwen thought, breathing out as she knew now why this mission was so important.

'The web summoned me here to stop Knull from escaping his prison of my multiverse to this one. But...why? And how did he even extend his influence to this place? Unless...me...because I connected the two multiverses together, he can - only slightly - extend his influence here, probably because of his title as the "God of the Abyss", or perhaps because of my symbiotes coming here. He might not be able to control them...but he can sense them' Gwen began to understand what she was there for and it was...not good, not good at all.

'...Thanks system' Gwen thought, frowning as she knew something inwardly.

'This isn't going to be the last that I see mentions of Knull...will it' Gwen sighed, as she looked over and saw that the others were down.

'Well...I just have to prepare for him, just in case then. Looks like the Eye of Harmony will need to be completed. And...Projects Domination and Project Rebirth will need to be worked on too' Gwen decided inwardly.

The projects were both incredibly important to her, for they would give her power beyond anything she had at the moment. But they also required a lot of preparation, preparation she didn't have yet. So for now, she'd have to try her best. But first, she had to get back home.

Swinging over to the rest of the group, she looked at them "You guys like the show?".

The other members of the "Spider Squad" all looked at her in awed silence, as she had just taken down the Sinister Six (and even stronger one than normal) by herself and with a relative amount of ease, with no harm done besides a bit of electricity slamming against her form.

"That was...awesome!" Miles exclaimed as Gwen laughed.

"Glad you liked it. But, I think it's about time we get home, preferably before the world ends and we all die" Gwen said, as they all laughed and nodded.

"Hey I-I'm sorry about the way I acted before, I-" "It's not a problem, younger, less beautiful counterpart of mine. You're young and inexperienced, it's only right that you're going to make mistakes. But as long as you learn from them, then I won't complain or get mad at you" Gwen cut her counterpart off, not allowing her to apologize as there wasn't any need.

"You like the suit I made you?" Gwen asked Miles who nodded, as she smiled, happy that it fit perfectly.

"Yeah! It's awesome! Thanks Gwen, both for the suit, and...and for believing in me" Miles replied as Gwen just nodded.

"Not a problem Miles. Now...I think it's time for me to get home, and for you to go and take care of Kingpin" Gwen said as Miles sighed and nodded, as she walked towards the edge of the building they were standing on.

Looking back to Miles before she leapt off the building, she spoke her last words, words that every spider had to hear.

"Oh, and don't forget kid. With Great power, comes great responsibility" Gwen spoke, before giving the kid a wave, and leaping off the edge, and into the beam below.

In Gwen's office in Malzif, a portal opened in the room, as Gwen flew through it, and landed squarely on the ground with a sigh.

"Looks like I'm finally home" Gwen muttered, as she felt her power return to her. She imagined that the reason she couldn't use this power during the quest had something to do with the Web of Life and Destiny, and Knull. Either way, she was happy to be home, as her suit disappeared from her form, and she flopped onto her offices couch.

'System, convert all the TL tickets into SSL ones, and then consume all of the SSL tickets' Gwen thought, deciding to do this now rather than wait.
