Splitting the Heavens-Chapter 1802: DOWN BITCH
Chapter 1802: DOWN BITCH
The moment Shang Xia returned to the large-scale Star Ship, he staggered and coughed up a mouthful of blood.
Chu Jia had already rushed out to help him, but Shang Xia raised a hand to stop her, signaling that he was fine.
Eventually, they entered the main cabin where Kou Chongxue and the high-level True Immortals had already gathered. Among them was also Xin Lu, their Grand Stargazer who had been successfully rescued.
As soon as Shang Xia walked in, everyone except Kou Chongxue stood up.
Shang Xia’s gaze swept across the room. As expected, he didn’t find the figure he was looking for. Walking over to Kou Chongxue to take his seat, he couldn’t help but shoot the patriarch a strange look. “Why did you personally come this time?”
Shang Xia naturally understood that if Kou Chongxue hadn’t suddenly appeared, his expedition to the Essence Du World and the fleet would probably have to return empty handed... They might not have even been able to rescue Xin Lu and the other elite cultivators who had been stationed there.
But Kou Chongxue’s abrupt departure from the Essence Luxuriant Heavenly Field left a major risk. If a foreign Sage attacked the newly formed Heavenly Field while both of them were away, the consequences would be disastrous.
Kou Chongxue, unsurprised by Shang Xia’s concern, replied, “Not long after you left, Little Yuan suddenly discovered that the Essence Du World was moving toward the Spirit Tip World. It wasn’t hard to guess what Yan Yu was planning. While it showed impressive boldness, Yuan Qiuyuan and Yan Ming calculated that our fleet couldn’t possibly arrive before they established their Heavenly Field. We’d either fail completely or suffer heavy losses.”
“We have been eyeing the Spirit Tip World for a long time. You aren’t the only one unwilling to give it up. I can’t just watch as a peak-tier Spirit World slips away. Only by joining forces would we be able to reap a portion of the benefits.”
Shang Xia nodded but asked with some doubt, “If that’s the case, the Essence Du World must’ve been moving at incredible speed. Isn’t Yan Yu worried that it would put a massive strain on his world?”
Kou Chongxue chuckled in response. “In truth, Yan Yu began moving the Essence Du World much earlier than we realized.”
Seeing Shang Xia still puzzled, he elaborated, “According to Little Yuan, since the disappearance of the Star Curtain, the Heaven Observation Field has been in a constant state of expansion. That has disrupted the spatial coordinates of surrounding worlds and interfered with his ability to observe the stars. Since the Essence Du World and Spirit Tip World are basically beside us, they were hit especially hard by the effects. Even a rank six Grand Stargazer like Little Yuan failed to notice it at first.”
Shang Xia nodded, a look of realization forming on his face.
Kou Chongxue continued, “As for the Heavenly Field’s safety, there’s no need to worry. Once a Heavenly Field is established, its defensive power gradually strengthens. Besides, no one knew I had left. Even if we did face an invasion, we can tear through the void and return.”
Seeing the strange look on Shang Xia’s face, Kou Chongxue couldn’t help but raise an eyebrow to ask, “What is it?”
Shang Xia quickly shook his head. “It’s nothing. I was just being overly cautious for a moment and forgot.”
Kou Chongxue could tell that Shang Xia was still hiding something but calmly changed the subject. “How’s your current condition?”
Shang Xia gave a bitter smile and replied helplessly, “I fear I won’t be able to fight again anytime soon. On the way back to our Heavenly Field, I’ll likely need you to protect us.”
As soon as he said that, the expressions of the True Immortals in the cabin shifted subtly as they turned to look at him.
“Did you damage your foundations?!” Kou Chongxue asked immediately.
Seeing Shang Xia shake his head, Kou Chongxue let out a soft sigh of relief. A knowing look eventually appeared on his face and he muttered, “With the support of a Heavenly Field, a Sage truly possesses terrifying strength!”
“Actually, I didn’t come with the fleet to break the stalemate. I was more worried you would fall into Yan Yu’s trap and get stuck in the Essence Du Heavenly Field. I came to help you escape.”
“I never imagined you could suppress Yan Yu and 12 high-level True Immortals with their battle formation. That was when I changed my mind and decided to risk it to enter the Essence Du Heavenly Field to attack the Spirit Tip World!”
Shang Xia smiled wryly. “Thankfully, luck was on our side. We didn’t return empty-handed after sending out so many people...”
Kou Chongxue nodded. “Yes, we are really lucky. Their Heavenly Field had just formed, and Yan Yu wasn't able to draw on its full potential. He was still unfamiliar with how to harness the assistance of the Heavenly Field as well, giving us the opening to attack the Spirit Tip World. In the future... Entering the Essence Du Heavenly Field won’t be so easy.”
Shang Xia agreed with a light laugh. However, he didn’t think that was the case. If they were able to restore the half of the Spirit Tip World they obtained, restoring it to the level of a Spirit World, the Essence Luxuriant Heavenly Field would possess yet another Spirit World. The Heavenly Field would bless him once again, giving him the opportunity to enter the fourth star.
If he really became a mid-level Sage, his combat strength would rise dramatically. It was like the difference between a low-level True Immortal and a high-level True Immortal. The difference was immense!
If he reached that point, Shang Xia might very well return to the Essence Du Heavenly Field and settle the score.
As for reaching the fourth star... Well, it wasn’t going to be so easy.
Shang Xia shook off his thoughts and turned to Kou Chongxue to ask, “How long will you need to recover?”
He had already noticed when entering the cabin that Kou Chongxue’s inner qi was depleted, and his aura, while strong on the outside, was weak internally.
But unlike Shang Xia, Kou Chongxue had only expended his inner qi. He didn’t suffer any internal injuries. Even without doing anything, he would be able to recover.
Sure enough, Kou Chongxue smiled. “I’m fine. Though not fully recovered, I can still fight with those of the same level if needed.”
Shang Xia paused briefly before taking off his Origin Star Robe. It quickly flew over to Kou Chongxue.
“Try wearing it. With your current cultivation, it can allow you to possess the combat strength of the second star of the Martial Emptiness Realm.” Shang Xia smiled while handing it over.
Kou Chongxue knew it wasn’t the time to pretend to be courteous, so he put the robe on without hesitation.
Although they had managed to take nearly half of the Spirit Tip World, the return to the Essence Luxuriant Heavenly Field would be far from smooth. The landmass couldn’t be stored inside the Ark and had to be dragged along like they did the Azure Qing World. They were basically a moving target for every other world in the sea of stars.
With their conversation concluded, Shang Xia turned to the others in the cabin and asked while laughing, “How is it? Do you think we can restore this world fragment to a Spirit World?”
