Splitting the Heavens-Chapter 2192: Am I The Star Origin Lord???
The last time, Shang Xia activated the full power of the Dipper Star Formation and annihilated an entire Heavenly Field.
Now, as the final star of the Dubhe position fell into place, the violent turbulence caused earlier by the shifting and relocation of the stars were quelled instantly. The Dipper Star Formation was complete, and Shang Xia gained full control over it.
Not only that, at the very moment the system formed, the Star River Stowaway, along with the Eternal Golden Boat beneath his feet, happened to be sitting squarely inside the newly completed ladle of the Dipper Star Formation.
Compared to a relatively complete Heavenly Field, an Eternal Golden Boat was basically a gain of sand.
But compared to the difficulty of destroying a Heavenly Field, completely trapping and killing an Eternal Golden Boat and the expert on it was even more challenging.
However, the Shang Xia of today far surpassed the Shang Xia of back then. The Dipper Star Formation he constructed within the Star River was vastly larger and more profound than the one he built in the Chaotic Sea of Stars.
Even though the Star River Stowaway possessed exceptional intuition and reaction speed, detecting danger the moment Shang Xia spoke, and immediately forming another golden passage to escape, it dissipated instantly. The Eternal Golden Boat remained trapped inside the ladle shape of the Dipper Star Formation. Even Shang Xia’s figure clung to its tail like a ghostly shadow, always appearing behind the Eternal Golden Boat no matter how the passage shifted.
The expert at the bow remained calm. His body sank downward, and the Eternal Golden Boat sank with him. Waves crashed upward from the Star River below, then condensed out of thin air into a rope aimed at binding Shang Xia.
It was obvious that the Star River Stowaway also possessed the ability to manipulate the Star River and the power of space and time within it.
Yet as the counterattack approached, Shang Xia, hovering behind the boat, remained unmoved.
Just as the rope of energy was about to coil around him, Shang Xia only murmured, “Scatter.”
The rope infused with the power of space and time instantly dissolved into flowing water and returned to the Star River.
The expert was preparing to strike again when Shang Xia said, “Do not waste your efforts. Inside my Dipper Star Formation, everything here is under my control.”
As his words fell, the turbulent Star River calmed instantly. The Eternal Golden Boat, once sailing along the Star River currents, had been completely separated from the river without anyone noticing and floated suspended in the void.
Inside the boat, the raised sail had returned to stillness. The anchor had locked into place. The Sage at the bow struggled desperately, but it was as though invisible chains bound him. Though his body could still move, he could not even take a single step forward.
“This is impossible! Who exactly are you?!” The Star River Stowaway, who had roamed the Star River for hundreds of years, had never experienced such despair.
He did not believe for a moment that someone of equal cultivation could achieve anything like this. At that moment, he would rather believe he was facing someone who had already stepped into the long-coveted Martial Eternity Realm.
Sensing the despair in the man’s eyes, Shang Xia said, “I have not reached the next level. But you were simply unlucky today and walked right into my trap.”
The expert suddenly froze, then muttered as though enlightenment had struck him. “The stars... It’s the stars! You are arranging them in some order. This is the method of the old Heaven Observation Sect. No wonder you seek my death, so I trespassed into the place where you laid your Fate Stars! You... Are you the Star Origin Lord?!”
Shang Xia was genuinely surprised and asked, “Why do you assume that I am the Star Origin Lord?”
To that, the stowaway immediately shook his head. “No... No, you’re not the Star Origin Lord! The Star Origin Lord would never appear in the Star River. Not even one of his clones could!”
Shang Xia’s heart stirred slightly. “You seem very familiar with the Star Origin Lord, and with the Heaven Observation Sect?”
The stowaway sighed bitterly, “How could I not be? In those days, we stowaways dealt with the Heaven Observation Sect constantly.”
Shang Xia instantly saw the key question. “The Star Origin Lord’s Fate Star is inside the Star River?”
The stowaway cast him a strange look. “Of course it is! Otherwise, when the Heaven Observation Sect was destroyed by us, why was he the only one who survived?”
A long-held doubt in Shang Xia’s mind finally settled, and he even gained a theory about the origin of the Star Origin Lord’s Eternity Artifact, the Star Core.
At that moment, the stowaway continued, “So you came from the Chaotic Sea of Stars! But where is your Eternal Golden Boat?”
Shang Xia smiled. “Did the Star Origin Lord need an Eternal Golden Boat when he placed his Fate Star?”
The stowaway stiffened, then stared at Shang Xia in disbelief. “You crossed the Star River alone?!”
Shang Xia only smiled without answering.
Seeing the look on Shang Xia’s face, the stowaway realized he was correct and gasped, “The dense region of stars should not contain any Star Worlds, and the Chaotic Sea of Stars should never appear here! You... you...”
As the stowaway fell into stunned silence, Shang Xia suddenly caught something important and asked, “In that case, the Star Origin Lord must have placed his Fate Star not far from where the Chaotic Sea of Stars meets the Star River?”
As he voiced his guess, Shang Xia suddenly recalled the several times he had entered the Star River before, always triggering reactions from the nearest stars.
The stowaway laughed. “He entered the Star River alone without an Eternal Golden Boat, so naturally, he wouldn’t place his Fate Star too far.”
But as soon as he said that, the stowaway froze, glancing sharply at Shang Xia.
His logic clearly did not apply to Shang Xia.
Shang Xia ignored the look and asked, “Since the Star Origin Lord’s Fate Star is not far, why has no one found it? From what I know, many stowaways entered the Chaotic Sea of Stars back then. Since you destroyed the Heaven Observation Sect, wouldn’t you have eliminated all its remnants as well?”
The stowaway explained, “Over 1,000 years ago, the position of the Chaotic Sea of Stars was unstable. The Star River had no branching tributaries to it and the Star River was densely packed with stars. How were we supposed to locate it?”
Shang Xia murmured thoughtfully, “But now... You should be able to find it?”
The stowaway sneered, “Even if we found it, so what? Inside the Star River, would you dare to destroy it?”
Shang Xia paused, remembering how earlier he had merely drawn upon the essence of a single star through his secret art. That alone created a tide vast enough to scatter Sage Star Thief and his friends in terror.
If one were to directly destroy a star... What catastrophic change would erupt through the Star River?
The mere thought sent a chill through him.
