Shang Xia truly had not expected that the Star Origin Lord’s clone, after entering the Illusory Sea of Stars, would attempt something on such an enormous scale.

For a moment, he did not even have the time to ponder why the Star Origin Lord’s clone and the Star River Stowaway would join forces for such a scheme.

He held onto only one thought. Since the Star Origin Lord’s clone was determined to see it through, all he needed to do was to fuck with the scheming old bastard.

Even though the plan devised by the Star Origin Lord’s clone, the Star River Stowaway, and the the Illusory Sea of Stars’ experts was close to flawless, even Shang Xia’s repeated, phantom-like strikes had not truly halted the Star Region’s relocation, the losses to the towing fleet were mounting. Finally, a single lapse from the Illusory Sea of Stars’ Sage allowed Shang Xia to seize an opening and kill him instantly. The resulting heavenly phenomenon filled the vast void, a vision seen by almost expert in the area.

For an instant... The entire Star Region actually slowed.

“Things can’t go on like this! Ever since we were exposed, we’ve become a living target for him, yet we have no way of dealing with it! We can’t stop him”

“That Sage Shang is like a mad dog, he won’t stop biting at us! Where is the dignity of Sages?”

“Dignity? We lost that the moment 20 of us had to gang up on him...”

“Sage Qu, are you really on our side side?”

“Enough empty talk. If 20 of us together still can’t handle him, then you should understand this will not end until one side dies. We can’t all stay gathered like this forever!”

“We must think of something. Otherwise, before the Suspended Mirror Star Region reaches the Chaotic Sea of Stars, our fleet will collapse first!”

“What about the two of them? What do they say?”

Shang Xia could see through their intentions immediately. Their formations were meant specifically to defend against him. But he could not understand why. Such defensive formations might delay him for a moment, but could never truly stop him, at best, they would buy enough time for other Sages to help the regions he attacked.

Hidden in the void, Shang Xia watched with thoughtful eyes.

Things were becoming truly interesting.

Soon after, surging auras began moving among the gathered battle formations. They were mostly Sages and Shang Xia recognized from earlier clashes.

But there were also two unfamiliar ones who were at the grand completion stage of the Martial Emptiness Realm. Their presence surprised him.

And then he understood something.

Even at the risk of being detected, Shang Xia moved closer to the nearly-stationary Star Region.

Though still far away, he could sense the auras of nearly 20 Sages fluctuating. It might be weak, but it was fluctuating rapidly.

It didn’t happen during battle. Rather, it seemed to be more emotional.

This was a sign of people arguing.

For Sages, keeping their emotions hidden was easy enough. Yet there they were, broadcasting their argument openly, as though intentionally signaling something.

The only question was... Who were they trying to communicate with?

Were they putting on an act for Shang Xia, or for someone else...?

Things were becoming more and more intriguing and he planned to continue watching the show.

Before long, a golden vessel broke through the void, arriving at the cluster of experts from the Illusory Sea of Stars. The turbulent auras gradually calmed.

At its arrival, the light in Shang Xia’s eyes turned sharp. A look of contemplation appeared on his face as his figure vanished from the void he had been standing in.

Moments later, while the Eternal Golden Boat hovered deep within the formation and the Star River Stowaway communicated with the experts of the Illusory Sea of Stars, a violent spatial shock exploded from the Star Region behind them. The disturbance even shook the massive formation.

The Eternal Golden Boat abruptly turned and dove into the void, entering the Star Region.

One after another, the nearly twenty gathered seventh-tier experts hesitated for only a heartbeat before vanishing as well, charging straight back to the Star Region.

The 20 or so Sages of the Illusory Sea of Stars reacted quickly. Even though they were slightly surprised at the sudden change, their figures flickered as they charged back into their territory.

Just a second earlier, before the blast happened, Shang Xia appeared within the Star Region. His divine soul instantly detected a familiar aura.

“Young Friend Shang, are you seriously planning to go against this old man?!” The cold voice of the Star Origin Lord’s clone rang directly beside Shang Xia’s ear.

Yet beneath that rolling aura, Shang Xia could perceive a faint, hidden weakness.

“To bring an entire Star Region into the Chaotic Sea of Stars early... What a grand move indeed! You truly live up to your reputation.” Shang Xia spoke while fearlessly closing the distance with where he detected the Star Origin Lord’s aura.
