Splitting the Heavens-Chapter 2242: SHARINGAN ACTIVATE
"I may have stepped into the Eighth Order before you, but it seems you understand this realm better than I do. For example... You already know how to fuse your martial intents!" Shang Xia mumbled.
After skillfully evading the fiercest crest of the Star Origin Lord’s fused martial intents by exploiting certain hidden laws, he advanced straight into the enemy’s attack range.
His voice, empowered by his inner qi, reached the Star Origin Lord’s ears an instant before his body moved.
Before the words had even faded, seven intricate cloud patterns surrounding the Eight Trigram Golden Core in Shang Xia’s dantian flared with light. His martial intents connected one after another, without the slightest trace of conflict or interference. The power that unified them all came from the golden core at the center of his dantian.
"But fortunately..." Shang Xia’s voice continued to ring through the void, "This doesn’t seem too difficult."
In that instant, Shang Xia unleashed all seven martial intents in sequence. They detonated within a heartbeat, forming a wave of his own that clashed against the Star Origin Lord’s assault.
The Star Origin Lord’s expression remained calm, but his eyes betrayed a rare moment of shock.
The radiant surge of starlight that had once been his attack now rebounded against him. Unable to face it directly, the Star Origin Lord immediately withdrew.
His retreat took Shang Xia by surprise, for he vanished completely, leaving behind no sign or fluctuation, disappearing as if he had never stood in that part of the void at all. 𝗳𝚛𝚎𝚎𝘄𝕖𝕓𝕟𝕠𝚟𝚎𝕝.𝗰𝕠𝐦
Shang Xia’s martial intents struck nothing but empty space, turning the surrounding space into a swirling chaos. The resulting shockwave spread into the depths of the Seven Essence Heavenly Field, shaking the seven Essence Worlds within, but it was quickly absorbed and neutralized by the power of the Heavenly Field itself.
"This is the Seven Essence Heavenly Field. Within it, you can never defeat me!" The Star Origin Lord’s voice echoed from the void. His figure reappeared moments later, emerging unscathed from another direction, his aura steady as ever.
Shang Xia studied him with thoughtful eyes. "So this isn’t your true body?"
Before the Star Origin Lord could respond, Shang Xia immediately shook his head. "No, that’s not right. This is your true body. Your cultivation and power don’t lie. If it weren’t, you wouldn’t have dragged this battle out for so long."
The Star Origin Lord chuckled, "You may think this is my true body, or not. Whatever it is, it is as I’ve told you. Within my Heavenly Field, you will never defeat me."
Shang Xia’s gaze sharpened suddenly. "I see. You never needed to condense a true body at all, because your true form is this Heavenly Field itself. Inside your Heavenly Field, you can gather its power at will, condensing it upon any chosen clone to manifest your full strength."
The Star Origin Lord paused for a moment of silence before replying in a low, steady tone. "Since you’ve realized that, you should understand your situation. You’ve walked straight into the tiger’s den. However strong you are, this is my domain. Here, my power is inexhaustible..."
"Then what about outside the Seven Essence Heavenly Field?" Shang Xia’s voice cut him off mid-sentence. It was sharp and unceremonious.
The Star Origin Lord said nothing, only casting him a cold, indifferent look, as if too proud to answer.
Shang Xia went on, his tone still calm. "Surely no one knows better than you that my ability to evade your martial intents earlier wasn’t merely due to my rank seven martial intent. At that moment, I had already stepped outside the Seven Essence Heavenly Field entirely."
Ignoring the flicker of displeasure on the Star Origin Lord’s face, Shang Xia continued, "And there’s something I may not have made clear before. Your true body may indeed be tied to this heaven and earth, but this Heavenly Field is not you. You merely wield its authority. You’re a steward, not its soul. At best, you’ve usurped the mantle of its will."
The Star Origin Lord let out a low, mocking laugh. "What an imagination you have. But unfortunately, that’s all it is, imagination. If you truly believe my power is confined to this Heavenly Field, why bother returning after leaving it?"
Shang Xia’s tone grew firm. "I only said that your strength would be greatly diminished beyond your Heavenly Field, not that your power could not extend past it. Even outside, I am sure you could still maintain your cultivation. But your overwhelming power, your dominance... They would never be the same as it is here."
The Star Origin Lord’s expression darkened slightly, his voice low and suspicious. "What exactly are you trying to say with all this?"
A small smile played on Shang Xia’s lips. "It’s only to answer your earlier question. The reason I remain here is simple, because this is the only place where I can truly defeat you."
As his words fell, the Star Origin Lord also reached the limit of his patience. He sneered, retreating a step. His figure began to blur, fading into the space, merging once more into his Heavenly Field.
Sensing danger, Shang Xia also stepped back. As his foot touched the void, a spatial gate unfolded behind him, an abyssal gate to another realm. From within came a roaring sound like rushing rivers, accompanied by blinding waves of starlight and distorted time.
Shang Xia’s consciousness linked with the Star River itself, connecting to the countless blazing stars drifting within its cosmic flow.
Boundless radiance poured forth from within, flooding the space and engulfing his figure.
The Star Origin Lord could not allow Shang Xia to act freely within his Heavenly Field. The instant the spatial gate appeared, he tried to sever the connection between Shang Xia and the Star River. Yet it quickly became clear that such a task was not easy, not because it was impossible, but because the torrent of starry brilliance and Shang Xia’s power was resisting the closure. It would take time to shut it completely, and Shang Xia had no intention of granting the Star Origin Lord that time.
Everything changed in an instant. From within the depths of the spatial gate, a faint crimson light emerged from the Star River. It gradually turned golden, its outline sharpening until that golden hue spread across his. The radiance was so pure and immense that even the twisting space and endless starfire could not conceal it.
A colossal golden sun, solid as reality itself, rose slowly from the ocean of starlight, its light bathing every corner of the Seven Essence Heavenly Field.
Around that golden sun, eight swirling cloud-patterns encircled it. Seven of them glowed with clear, distinct lines, while the one at the very top remained hazy and formless, as though concealing something yet unborn.
At that moment, multiple streaks of light descended from different directions. They were the Star Origin Lord’s Essence World Clones, converging swiftly toward the core of his Heavenly Field.
As soon as they arrived, they were enveloped by a brilliant radiance.
Contrary to their expectations, the light did not harm them. Instead, it seemed to bestow creation itself, a mysterious transformation that nourished both their bodies and their souls with newfound vitality.
