Slowly he turned around, seeing Dr. Mord with five guards right behind him. āHow do you like my trap?ā he asked with a dark chuckle, as if this was all a game. I could tell from his voice that he knew we were here and that he had planned for it.
āHow..how did you...ā Fulton muttered as Dr. Mord laughed with a cackle in his voice, āhow did you know? You have to be cheating!ā
āCheating? How so?ā Dr. Mord asked as he stood in front of the table, āI am the one that is telling you that I made a trap that has obviously worked. Remember when you captured Jameson? We made a plan to lead you guys here, and although we did try to kill you guys in between that time. Clearly you dodged those and fell right into this next trap. Great job.ā
I looked at him, anger boiling and circulating inside of me. āYou sick little-ā Fulton hissed but Dr. Mord rose up his hands with a certain calmness. āSave your anger for later, clearly I donāt have time for it,ā he said, as he shook his head, ābecause thereās a much more pressing issue.ā
āAnd what would that be?ā Fulton asked as he tried to step back, but the guards stopped him. I looked at them, and they all looked like soldiers but none of them had a uniform on, and they were all wearing a blue band on their arm which I saw were filled with blue flames.
āWell, Iām not sure,ā Dr. Mord said with a smile. āMaybe exacting my revenge which reminds me, whereās the others uh-Charlie Company? You might wanna call them.ā
āWhat sick plan do you have?ā Fulton hissed at him, as Dr. Mord continued to laugh while he walked around behind the table. He seemed almost like a showman or a ringmaster in the circus. āNow thatās just rude,ā he said while shaking his head as got close to Fulton, āI thought you were going to try and play nice.ā
āWhat is your sick plan?!ā Fulton yelled out, his eyes turning red, āI demand to know what it is!ā
āWell based on how the tables are, in a figurative way, I think you have no power here,ā Dr. Mord said, as he stood with his arms crossed. āIt seems like you guys have already been dealt with.ā
.....
I was about to run over and get to Fulton, but he shook me off.
āDonāt you dare,ā Fulton hissed, looking back at me as I stood there with my mouth open. āHeās just trying to provoke you.ā Dr. Mord shrugged, āI sort of am. But dear Fulton Rocke, you donāt concern me. In fact, Iām quite impressed with you and your organization. From many years in the ground you rose it up to be one of the top organizations in all of the world. But Iām more concerned about that of those two kids. Connor and Malachi. Theyāre the ones I want.ā
āIs this about your sister? Maddie Cone? How she killed herself?ā I asked him and his face froze. āShe did not kill herself-you killed her,ā Dr. Mord hissed at us, as he sat back down behind the table, āand I will make it my lifeās work to see you both dead.ā
āWhat proof do you have?ā Malachi asked, as his hands started to sweat.
āI have a video,ā Dr. Mord said as he reached into his coat pocket and pulled out an iPad.
I gasped and leaned forward as I held out my hand for it, but he slapped it away.
āYou donāt need to touch it,ā He smiled as he looked over at me. āI saw what happened already. And you deserve to pay, no matter what. But Iām not going to kill you with my gun-no, something much worse.ā I gulped as fear took over my entire body like a rushing wind, āIām going to do something much more horrible, and that is to make you watch as your friends die.ā
āWhat?ā I asked, trying not to let my voice shake as I thought of what could possibly be done. āWhat do you mean?ā
āYouāll see,ā he muttered as he looked at me, his eyes keen with revenge, āand I promise it will be painful.ā
āYouāre sick!ā I yelled as I looked around the room for help and saw the other agents.
āYou donāt understand what itās like to have a sister you love and then to lose her. She was the best person I ever knew and I loved her more than anything,ā he said. āShe was like a mother to me, and you took her away. I respected her, I loved her. She was the best thing that ever happened to me.ā
I could hear his voice breaking, the sorrow that captivated him, the loss that consumed him, the hate that he felt for me, āShe was perfect, and you took that from me. I hate you dearly.ā
āDearly?ā Malachi hissed. āDonāt give me that sob story and expect me to care.ā
Malachi shouldāve not said that.
Malachi shouldāve not said that!
āYou donāt know what pain is,ā Dr. Mord said, āor youād never do what you did to us. And you have the nerve to say that to me.ā He immediately walked over and all of a sudden, threw a hard punch at Malachiās face. The sound of what couldāve been bones cracking almost made me puke, as Malachi stumbled back, but didnāt fall.
āYouāre not going to stop me.ā Dr. Mord was clearly enraged. āNo one can stop me from what I want to do!ā
āWe will,ā Malachi coughed, blood splattering on the floor from his mouth as he started to stand up. āYou are going to pay for what youāve done, even if itās not in this life.ā But then Dr. Mord threw another punch, this time harder as the blood spurt from Malachiās mouth, and he collapsed again.
āItās too late,ā he whispered as he started to pass out. āI donāt care what you do, I wonāt stop.ā
āStop!ā I shouted at Dr. Mord as he looked at me, chuckling as Jones and Hanover looked in fear, knowing they werenāt in control of the situation any longer.
āYouāre in no position to be ordering me about,ā Dr. Mord hissed as he looked at me with contempt. āNone any single bit,ā he added with a hiss, āI know who you are, I know your name.ā He took a step forward and I took one back.
āI have watched you,ā he said, āand I promise you will suffer.ā
He took a deep breath before turning over to Fulton. āSo, hereās what I want you to do. Call Charlie Company on that radio of yours. Now.ā
Fultonās eyes widened and he immediately grabbed it and hit the button on it, and I could hear him call out, āCharlie, this is Fulton. We need reinforcements.ā He shut it off before looking up at Dr. Mord who smiled, āWell, that wasnāt so hard was it?ā
He started to laugh hysterically as he looked back at me with those dark eyes filled with insanity. āNow, September, Nikki and Tisiah can come and then Iāll be complete,ā he said with a chuckle. āPower. Itās one thing better than money.ā He looked over at them and laughed hysterically. āAnd they will have to pay for what they did, just like you.ā
The anger I had was too much for me to bear, and I just felt like speeding towards him with my legs barely hitting the ground, and rip his neck apart, but that would just make him more angry. So I did the only thing I could think of to do and I yelled as loudly as I could, āDr. Mord!ā
He turned to me with a smile, as if I was his only friend in the world. āYes?ā he asked innocently. freššøššną«¦ŃµāÆl.cšš®
āIf you want me dead, then kill me,ā I said with a shiver as I stood in front of him. āKill me now, but let these others go. I was the main one there. While I donāt believe I killed her, I took her away from you. Iām sorry and Iāll pay for it, but donāt kill any of my friends please...ā
Dr. Mord looked at me, but with no words exiting his mouth, he simply smiled. Then I heard Jones and Hanover gasp. āItās too late,ā he whispered as he started to pass out. āI donāt care what you do, I wonāt stop. They deserve it as much as you do, so no-I wonāt give mercy on them. Iām going to enjoy watching them die slowly.ā He said as he looked back at me with those eyes full of madness, but it was a different kind of madness than before.
It was almost as if he had pleasure watching me beg, knowing he would have no mercy. And that was all I could do, beg. And while I was begging for my life, my mind started to wonder, if it wasnāt too late, maybe I could have tried something else. But what? I had to do something before it was too late.
I felt like my head was spinning as my mind thought of all the possible things I could do.
